  • THOSE 2 DISLIKES ARE JUSTIN BIEBER FANS

  • 1 dislike???! REALLY? Apparently you dont know real music....probably a Taylor Swift or Selena Gomez fan. not surprised

  • Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were just fonky with their productions, they made good singers better with their style of music too....awesome, I could never hate this music, the 80'smusic was awesome.

  • it's good see someone appreciates and still does....oh there is sooo much of this music on my phone, took a while but ever so worth it.

  • y cnt we have songs like this anymore

  • the 80s used up all of the remixes, extended versions etc.....which is why we have what we have today. changing times i think they call it.

  • Man! How can anyone not like this song?? That one dislike must have been a slip! LOL This Song and Remix take Me back to 1985 when I when I lived in New York City. Brings back Memories of real Music the filled the Airwaves. Those times are long gone but the Music definitely lives on.

  • I Still Have The 12inch ********

  • @OQUENDO1968

Great memories... I was also 17 at this time...SOS Band, Alexander & Cherrelle and others.

    That was all my life!!!!

  • MIX IT UP FOOL.

  • Greeat Tunee !!

  • all time favorite!!!! memories and a broken heart.

  • ohh what a tune!!memoriesx

  • No one should ever fuck with this song...seriously Jam and Lewis made these perfect songs..songs you wish you could live in. This takes me back to my childhood my parents loved this song and I always used to hear this in the car with them...memories. I had to comment on a Saturday because this song after 25 years still does it for me

  • i remember growing up in the projects, there was this night club down the street from my house, me and my friends where to young to get in so we would go behind the club jammin to this song and afrikka bambata.

  • WOW! This song takes me back

  • gerat song all time record !!!

  • the remix is A REMIX...I grew up off of this record

  • sa c du pure son a l'ancienne les ancetre du hip hop

  • There is a track with the same tune but a higher tempo by a female singer made in the late 80's or 90's.Anyone know the name of it>?.Many thanks

  • D.M.C. Baby!!!!!!!!!

  • What y'all talking about? Nobody should touch this. Its a classic. Dont fuck with it.

  • A Beautiful song.....the memories live on x

  • i agree whit cityson mariah would only ruin it

  • Hell no don't mess up perfection with these second rate artists....remember...nothing is good as the first time

  • Streetball,

A remake was made recently by uk artist lemar. It sounded rather pathetic and lemar elevated his voice a further 3 octaves and consequently sounded like a whailing cat...Nevermind

  • I love dis one. I'm suprised non of these Hip-Hop artists did a remake version. I think Cassie feat Usher would work

  • Uhh, non singin' ass Cassie??? No. Amerie & Usher, definitely.

  • Maybe Usher & Mariah Carey feat someone to add in few rap lyrics.

  • Mariah would only ruin it by proving to the world that she can hit a certain high note & throw all of the song's mellow simplicities out the window; totally overdoing it. Featuring a rap artist??? Are you serious? That's why R&B music so messed up today. The magic of Saturday Love is that it's very soothing & SIMPLE. Like a lullabye for adults. Nothing could wreck that more than Lil' Wayne or some other rapper talkin' about how his bedroom skills have girls comin' back for more, etc.

  • The only person who I think can really remake this classic jam, and somewhat make it her own, because she has done pretty good over the years covering other R&B, Soul, POP classic songs and that is no other than Mary J. Blige. As far as the male feature on this remake? Maybe Usher, but I would prefer someone unheard of with a hell of a voice.

  • Mary J. Blige would be perfect, but what male artist could really pull it off?

  • I think John Legend can pull it off, him and Corrine Bailey Rae did a pretty good cover of Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway's "Where is the Love."

But to be honest, I don't want them to remake "Saturday Love" it can't be touched, that's pure Cherrelle & Alexander! The song I really think that John Legend & Mary J. Blige could remake by Cherelle & Alexander O'Neal is "Never Knew Love Like This." That song is practically tailor made for both John & Mary.

  • I think your right. This is priceless. The only thing that could possible happen is what Eric Sermon did when mad the song "Just Like Music". He took some of the verses from a classic & made it modern day art. I think that can be done with this song.

  • Really good Old School song.Cherelle and Alexander its good combination.tnx 4 posting.

  • Just a true classic. Powerful song and the music is just fantastic. Thanks for having this here...

  • IT´S JUST WONDERFULL

  • IT´S JUST AWESOME !!!

  • (C) 1985 Tabu/CBS Records

  • I sing this shit to myself all the time...

  • Wow, what a version!!! Thanks for having this here. What memories that this stirs up... Heavy, Heavy Bass, Pure and Raw!!! Love it... I just love Cherelle. She has that unique voice that only comes around once in awhile...

  • This is a nice Saturday song.

  • I like this song !!

  • Never on Sunday, and Monday's to soon, Tuesday and Wednesday just won't do, Thursday and Friday we can begin...... Classic.

  • also takes me back to 1985 very nicely, good year!!

  • this song sums up 80's music.........it was excellent!!!!

  • I am happy to see that someone still can remembers the good old jamming 80s music that's been out their when I was still young man. This is one of the best songs that will stay on my forever and never leave peoples side on those romantic times with that special girlfriend or wife. Thanks for the upload of Saturday love deandreams. It always keeps the jamming 80s generation alive.

  • my god this jam flows good as hell..

  • Cherrelle and Pebbles are cousins right?

  • Yes, they are cousins.

  • One of my favorite favorite remixes by Chererelle/Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis. Alex did his thing on this one. Good to hear some of the old jams from the Flyte Tyme factory.

  • hi sorry to bug you... whats the flyte tyme factory? thanks.

  • The Flyte Tyme Factory is just another name for Flyte Tyme Productions which was pioneered by both Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis outside of Minneapolis. Its a signature sound and blend of tunes which can be heard by fans who really have an appreciation for their sound.

  • Amen...Its a signature sound - just listen to 'Human" By Human League, or Janet's "Control" album ; OT "Hearsay" by AlexONeal; "High Priority" by Cherelle; SOS Band "No One's Gonna Love You"...and you'll hear THAT sound.

  • you are so right...they can't make them like this anymore.

  • Can you all remember where you were at, what you were doing, who you were dating/flirting with, when this song was playing?????? Back in our "heyday" of the 80's!

  • I love this song.

  • 12" a scorcher is so hot unlike

todays wet watery pissy washey drippy pop makes water interesting to listen too

    ...drip... drip... drip...

    simon cowl take note BLAND!

  • How true. I hate these record company's today. I like those back in the day joints. Example The Time. They had 6 songs on an album but they were anywhere from 6 to 10 minutes long. I would rather have 6 songs at 8 minutes or more compared to this bullshit they have today by putting 20 or more songs at 2 or 3 minutes each. Soon as you get into the song it's going off. Damn I miss those 12' days.

  • this is my favorite song , i heard it on the radio about a year ago ,i finally found it!

  • How I wish R&B is as refreshing, sparkling and soulful as the 80s was!! Great records that made me appreciate the great vocals and lush productions! Thank you for uploading this classic!

  • @iLuvCiconne16085868 Hear, hear (and, two years following your comment, the feeling is even more so!)

  • @iLuvCiconne16085868 Because it's all about money now, not Music and Fun. Including the killing of downloading, is bad for the music industry. When I look at my Vinyl en CD collection (only original recordings) before downloading begun is big enough to fill a complete room. Nowadays you can't buy every album because only find it on iTunes or Hard to Find or only in print for just 1x! Thnx for upload, I have the original album too, Nice Sunny Sunday back to the 80's!

  • What a jam! I remember my aunt Patricia, who was a party animal, rocking to this song while getting dressed for the club.
