Mixing Caucasian Ovcharka and Saint Bernard is very wrong. It destroys good blood lines. Designer dogs are garbage. Buying or breeding dogs based on looks is dumb. If you want Saint Bernard then go buy real one don't destory Caucasian Ovcharka lines.

Oh lighten up. All purebred dogs are the product of mixed genetics if you trace them back far enough. And sometimes a good crossbreed can prove to be a superior dog, as in the case of the Shiloh Shepherd which crossed German Shepherds with Alaskan Malamutes.

Caucasian ovcharka is very different. Mixing it with something like St Bernanrd will trick people into thinking that they should behave like reg. dog.

Caucasian dog is half wild when it comes to behavior. It takes A LOT of hard work to make them balanced.

Would you mix for example Fila Brasiliero's with nice sweet bloodhound?

well,my first dog was a champion Caucasian Ovcharka,after he died we bought a Moscow watchdog,and this one is better in every way I can tell you,much smarter and tougher,and hes so emotional that I've never seen a dog like this before,this is the perfect watchdog believe me,the Soviets did a perfect job back in the days

I know breeders who had to deal with caucasian mix dogs.

Mixing Caucasian with regular dog breed is very dangerous. They can come out looking like regular domestic dog but have behavior of caucasian.

99% of people in the west are not familiar with Caucasian Ovcharka temperament.

Would you mix lion and domestic cat if you could? Of course not.

Moscow Watchdog is not superior to CAO or CO. You are confused. Saint Bernard is "modern" breed designed for rescue of people. Any mixing of dogs is destroying ancient blood lines.

Caucasian Ovcharka as most people know the breed is not even a pure breed due to the fact that only Transcaucasian/Kavkasiuri nagazi is the only pure breed of CO. The CO in general is a bigger and newer breed that russia made mixing Transcaucasian with dogs from the Caucasus region and the breed that was made was the modern CO and the modern CAO.
