  • I watched this video earlier today and I told myself i was going to make me some toffee. BUT please tell me exactly the exact name brands of the ingredients you used.

  • i am looking at every single toffee recipe on youtube and every one shows nuts in it...it's ridiculous, i have never eaten toffee with nuts in it. why do people think toffee should have nuts in it?!

  • Seriously what is up with you americans always changing the original recipe if you make ENGLISH toffee you don't add nuts it's so simple. For every toffee recipe i see it's always nuts, nuts, and..........nuts.If you go to England you will see Werther's make the best toffee WITHOUT nuts same for every cheap toffee there.

  • What is it with you Yanks and NUTS, as a REAL Englishmnan I can tell you that REAL English Toffee does NOT have NUTS, so please either quit with the nuts or don't call it "English Toffee" cuz it AINT

  • @crushed51 I agree. But there's no need to be a dick about it, people have different preferences. If you don't want nuts in it, then simply skip that part of the video.

  • hey, you know, today i tried to do it twice, and both times i didnt succeed. the thing is the butter separated from the sugar completely, although i stirred it, and the sugar sort of cristalized...it was quite a disaster, actually so i gave up!! could you tell me what could i have done wrong?? you make it seem so easy!!

    thank you.

by the way, you are a spectacularly good gastronomy teacher!

  • Make sure you guys use unsalted butter! makes a huge difference.

  • is it ok if u dont hav nuts for the recipe

  • I disagree. Your recipe sounds GREAT!... but... Bacon Toffee IS BETTER! Try it you might be surprised.

  • Thank you 

  • yeah you tenderize those nuts!

  • hey. thanks for the recipe! i love butter toffee!

  • do you have to use nuts?

  • can i use margarine?

  • 300 celsius or fahreghnhieght?

  • between 285 - 300 degrees Fahrenheit. 285 degrees is the minimum.

  • LOL.

  • lol 300 degrees celsius is 572 degree farenheight. that would burn most anything you cook very quickly

  • @kyleguy298 "fahreghnhieght"... wtf?

  • @kyleguy298 are you kidding?? 300 degrees celsius????
