  • Contrary to belief, a prius is'nt good for the environment. The nickel for the battery is mined in Canada, refined in Europe, Aseembled into a battery in China, full assembly of the car in Japan and shipped across the pacific. By the time the prius reaches you you have to drive 450,000 miles in one prius to make up for all the fuel used for transportation. Not to mention the acid rain from nickel mines, and pollution from the chinese factories.

  • @Robbieifyoucan You think we havn´t heard that Top Gear-argument before? The prius have been pushing the technology forward, created a larger demand for hybrids and been in a larger scale made people more aware of the environmental issues we are facing today.

  • i myself am not getting good gas mileage from my jeep so i am thinking about a prius myself to get 50+ mpg

  • @Blackcardinal2 Sorry Becca.. I would push my Jeep long before I would ever drive a Prius.

  • I just purchased a 2011 Prius III, trading in my 2005 Cadillac CTS w/102K miles. The Prius is an amazing vehicle for people who aren't concerned with serious horsepower. While I had a 3.6L engine in the CTS, I rarely used the power. The Prius is great looking, rides incredibly well, and saves a ton of money on gas...all important to me. If that's not important to you, then don't buy it. And why do people have to trash this car because it doesn't go fast? Just move on...sheesh! Get a life!

  • the only and best reason im geting this is because of gas mileage

  • oh..., and I live in a country where fuel is less expensive than water, and traffic jamms and congestion charges and gay marriage is a thing unheard of...

  • @namibgtv6 The good thing about priuses, though, is that you can drive alot, and not have to pay alot for gas, this is good if you liek driving.

  • I plan my routes, use my GPS to get somewhere quickly, and avoid unnecessary driving, except for Sundays, when I take my exotic Italian big hearted beast out to play, then I do not care about fuel consumption, I just enjoy driving. Owning a car should be about the joy's, and benefits, unfortunately things like the Prius, remove all these joys, and good times, and leave you with alot of plastic dead nothing, with a relatively low fuel index. Trading your wife with a Robot??

  • You see, the problem I have with this, is the fact that I do not see the motorcar as an A to B mode of transport, or "white goods". I love driving, and if you are a car enthusiast you should, thus for me, a car should have a HEART and SOUL, a CHARACTER, and unfortunately this thing, and any thing else TOYOTA makes, and any other HYBRID econno crazed car has no soul and character, suffocated driving as a hobby, and turning it into a mere nuisince, a mere task. Thank you for supporting this...

  • Hey look, they put wheels on a printer/scanner!! WHAT A TOTAL PIECE OF S**T, and people actually buy this.. This is proof that less than a quarter of the worlds population that can afford a car, are actually car enthusiasts. NOTE: IF YOU OWN, OR PLAN TO OWN A PRIUS, YOU ARE AN INCONSIDERATE PRICK, and there is a very special place preserved in CAR HELL for every existing, and future prius. STUPID, STUPID HYBRID CARS...

  • @namibgtv6 Yep, maybe you won't be thinking those Prius owners are stupid pricks when you are paying $100+ to fill the tank of your gas guzzler every week in the near future. At the same time, all those Prius drivers will be paying half that and going twice the distance as your SUV or Muscle Car. You'll probably be thinking they are smart pricks instead.

  • Can this piece of shit stop? Doesn't come with brakes does it?

  • @mechichi666 Hey bro. Why dont you make a better car?

  • Just leased a new Prius last weekend. My wife, who drives it the most for commuting to work, is very happy with the vehicle You cannot find another vehicle out there that gets better gas mileage. The Prius is king in mpg and to a certain extent, with high gas prices now and in the future, that is what we wanted. I actually like the new design too, very modern. Highly recommend a Prius II for anyone who wants to go further on a tank of gas.

  • Larry David drives a prius. Enough Said: I'm getting one!!

  • I love old cars!! But what is this???

  • 6 disc CD changer? Why do cars still do this? Who uses CDs?

How about an SD slot with MP3 support? Much easier - I got a cheap $30 stereo that has this feature.

  • @1:10 WELL YA, but for all the wrong reasons

  • -Warning ! The Prius will cost mutch more less in Service $, and it will save u a lot off money / mile the longer ride more saweing conpared 2 anny other car. . .

-As it sawes energy from breaking and downhill rides, u will run the car 4 total free $...others just run the engin in idel and at stop signs etc not the Prius and it is clean in the garge backing aout on battry mode...etc some things they didnt tell

  • looks like a volkswagon fucked a golf cart

  • @Bigcountry821 lol true

  • i hate your prius

  • @ihateyourprius then y did u click the thumbnail?

  • a japanese-made lunch box useful to keep rice warm..

no wonder many asian rice-eating students in US own this..

  • @toketjablay Excuse me?

  • @toketjablay at least rice is healthier than your burgers, pizzas & fries - preservative-laden foods.

  • I'm not Evoirmentalist or whatever you call them, but I find the prius an interesting vehicle.

But a BMW M5 is more economical than the Prius

  • @TheTerminator248 no shit

  • 3:52 thumbs up for solar RUFFFFFFFFF ! not solar roof

  • I just got my 2011 prius...its awesome

  • much rather a Ford Fusion Hybrid, this car looks shitty...

  • i checked in toyota.com and saw the prius five is 28k not 40k

  • @saif03paul yeah well a car is never what the car dealers list upfront, by the time they add all the taxes and other BS, it will be at least 35 but yeah, 40 may be pushing it but i wouldn't doubt the prius five could easily get there...they probably didn't include all the features...they always list the base price which doesn't include all the "bells and whistles" so once you do, i'm sure the prius five is 40,000

  • There was some great info given in regards to this 2011 Prius compared to previous models. Makes you want to get out and test drive one for yourself.
