I ve sold off most of my old stuff because GWS retail prices are far too expensive. I thought as soon as finecast models came into production that they ll drop the prices for the plastic models but they have n`t!
Wow Vampire Counts Blood Knights (5 models) in the U.S. are $99, that's 64gbp not including the 10% extra tax we get charged over here. I think it would be cheaper to cast them out of pure gold. Ouch.
let's see what it takes to play a "legal" 40k with the basic components;
1 Space Marine Commander (1xHQ): $20
10 Man Space Marine Tactical Squad (2xtroops): $37.25
Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook: $57.75
Codex: Space Marines: $33.00
Total: $148+$15.18(tax)=$163.18
163.18! This is just for 11 models and the rules. I really enjoy 40k, but like most GW customers I don't understand how they expect to raise their prices for the same exact product and expect us to keep on buying when we feel ripped off.
Well said! I stopped playing Warhammer and 40K when they brought out 8th edition for Warhammer when 7th was only four years old! And they wanted to charge £60 for the rulebook!! They also hype up games like Battlefleet Gothic when they come out and then totally forget about it! I play a lot of boardgames and for £50 you can get a very good wargame from the big companies.
Alas, too true. Their figs are nice (some are brilliant), but they are, let's face it, just plastic toys. The prices are becoming ludicrous, and it's a slap in the face for loyal hobbyists.
Go and try out some none main stream games, 15mm sci fi is amazing as well as 28mm strange aeons . i agree this hobby has gotten so ridiculous. I used to play 40k like 10 years ago and after assembling my army of orks, a small army of necrons and a squad of tyranids with all the paints and brushes that i needed as well i spent well over $1000. It was fun and i enjoyed playing and painting everything, which is what i enjoyed the most. With these new price increases I just don't see how anyone can play this hobby without breaking their bank.
@CoolsBreeze you` re right fellow- it is becoming too expensive. you take warhammer fantasy battles for example- GW Orcs and Goblins Arrer Boyzs £12.50 for 3 figures, unit composition 10+ You` ll have to spend at least £50 for you to put this unit togther, Time to shop @ ebay!!
As of 11/11/2011 the Price of 1 Box of 5 plastic Vampire Counts Blood Knights on is £51.25. Who in their right mind can justify spending £50 on 5 tiny plastic Models that cost no more than £3 to manufacture. What child is going to walk up to their parents and tell them that they spent weeks of pocket money on some shitty little models for an out of date army.
true i mean it costs £61.50 of the assault on black reach box set and thats ok, now go on the GW website and look at the price for a box of 5 vampire counts blood knights and look at the price of them. thumbs up for people who think that the prices are BULLSH*T.

I Stoped playing a year back because of the prices... i tried getting into it today untill i had a Hart attack when i saw the prices had rised even further.
Hah! You are so right when it comes to staff. So recognizable! I dont even care about their miniatures, but whenever i come in their shop to pick up some white paint.. it often goes like this:
"Hi, how are you doing!"
"Fine, thanks, can i have some Skull-White please."
"Sure,.. ohh, by the way, have you seen our new HighElf dragonLord?!"
**i didnt get my skull-white before i had a look at the model**
"Are you interested in this model? Its only EUR 69,99"
dude u have got it spot on and tbh and i don't buy models at gw anymore just cos of the price i mean 70 quid for a battle force is just a pure rip off :/ i go to wayland games to get my tyranids cos they have battle forces for about 55 quid and loads of deals on :)

I have been playing 40k for 12years now An i use to work for games work shop in enfield. I think Games work shop has lost the plot. I have used Dark Sphere in the past . Call me made but I really do think games work shop if they keep going on the way they are the will put them selfs out of business.
From Australia - we got shafted...btw 10 tac marines costs $62 as of the latest price increase. as a GW veteran enthusiast for 12 years (me being 21 now) i feel pretty neglected, i wont be buying anymore of there stuff.
They are raising prices because they can, and most likely they have to. I would bet that as a company they are anticipating an inflationary period in the US and UK. this will destroy their margins if they don't actually get ahead of the wave. Other wargaming systems that don't raise their prices in the same way may actually go out of business because they won't make revenues that cover their expenses. GW will be around for a long time because they run their company like a business.
Your comment about not being able to get your friends into the game does it for me. It's so true. How can you continue in a hobby that requires playing a game that is unaffordable. Also, the staff at GW are so pushy and childish that I would never take my wife in there for sheer embarassment.
@MKPoosh you are so right about that.... i have been collecting GW stuff for ages and have over 6000 points worth of space marines... I have now stopped collecting and painting warhammer because of these redickulous price rises.... I have now started Hiking and iam really happy so much more enjoyment for my money
i hate how they make it so you pay more money in real life for better units in the game..they are using our love for cool fiction to get money out of us...in the end your just buying small bitz of plastic...to people..wifes,friends ect it must see insane..its is insane! its ment to be a FUN hobby...not an investment :(
loved the video. I live in Australia and I would LOVE to know WTF. TWICE as much it costs be fore anything. Actually its more like 55%. Thats retail off the shelf. And now they wont let us buy over seas. The amount of profit that GW must be making from Australia alone must be HUGE. With this new price rise I dont think Ill be able to afford to keep playing.
I just got into the hobby myself, after years of deliberation I decided to go for the Skaven (fantasy). I must say I was intimidated to see what the total cost was of the minis I ordered! This must be 1 of the most expensive hobby's ever. When you buy minis you need to paint them. So you buy paints, brushes, flock, glues, bits, trays, dies, templates, codex's, etc. Bring the price down, more people will start playing. Stop raising prices; you give back the hobby to people who enjoy playing it!
40k Is already expensive without the price increase. I recently started a new Eldar army and I have spend around 250£ for a 1500point army. And I am not counting paints and modelling materials.
@holanoobs Holy shit, do I agree with you. I was going to get into 40k, and I thought it was going to be great. And then I saw these types of videos, and I realised that the company making my miniatures are complete idiots! I'm quitting 40k and I'm going to Warmachine, because Privateer Press is a great company! I'm thinking of starting a Khador army, they look really cool. I gargled over the Warjacks! They just look so damn good. Part two below.
@SmerkenKerk Also, Privateer Press don't pull that bullshit like with GW. Oh, I'm sorry, you can only sell to your country and to the US, what a load of crap. Also, Warmachine seems to have alot more balanced and tactical gameplay. And at least Privateer Press updates their armies on time. Anyway, I'm going with Warmachine and if GW dosen't turn themselves around, I fear for them. Anyway, see yah!
@SmerkenKerk aww khador? iwas thinkin of dem too, the spriggan is badass, iv got a huge necron army, and the only things imma gona get from em is the new necron dex, and the white dwarf, and of course Gw paints (because blood red looks good on khador)
I am from Australia it costs me $150 for a battle force and our currency is worth7 cents more the the English economy and our GST is only 10% compared to your 20%. It is all bad management the current business leader is a cock with shit for brains he has no idea how to run a profitable company if you look a their profit statement it is skimpy the money is just being put in the wrong places they need to advertise and be competitive the ultramarines movie could have been realsed that the cinema
Dark sphere is my local store as well, and i support them fiercely lol :) great video mate, ive just converted to warmachine i think its the way to go imho.
@cyphertheory You are so right about everything you said in this video, finally someone who has the same views on GW and there redick prices as me... and finally iam from australia and the prices are soooo redick here man
Hey would you like to try out this game thats been around a couple of hundred years. Its called Golf. Now it will only cost you a few hundred pounds for a basic set of clubs and oh by the way you need to pay to use the gaming area, its called a Golf Course. Oh you don't fancy that. Hmm. I know lets go kill fish for fun. All you need is a rod, some line some hooks. The cost, well a decent beginners set is only a few hundred pounds. Oh by the way the rivers are not free you need to pay to use them
@squidgybidge sure, I can see where you are coming from, but your logic is slightly off. I can pick up a single club from the charity shop and go to a driving range, or buy a rod from a discount store for less then £20 (which I have recently done!) these things have not had dramatic rises year on year for essentially the same product.
I am not happy being a GW customer any more. thats how I feel about it. if you are happy with it then good for you, rock on!
@cyphertheory I can see what you are saying, but I have also picked up cheap GW product from sites such as eBay. Yes you can go to a driving range, but you still need to outlay to use even a driving range and after a finite amount of balls your money is spent. If you want new product like in any hobby then it costs and unfortunately for GW it seems the cost has gone up again. Fishing you still need a permit for the water you are going to and the better the stretch the more expensive the permit.
@squidgybidge long may the good ebay deals last, I have also got some good kit from there. to be honest it's less the price, but more the attitude of GW (especially the way the staff are trained and motivated these days in the retail stores) that puts me off
@cyphertheory I totally agree about the hard sell. If the staff don't know you, then they pounce all over you and it does get right up my goat. My local branch manager knows us and yes he tries to sell us stuff, but without the hard sell. The Glasgow store however does give the hard sell, which puts me off. However, compared to furniture stores, electrical etc they are just doing the same thing.
What puts us hobbiests off is that traditionally our market place isn't used to the hard sell.
@cyphertheory That said I always have to justify whether I can afford GW product as it is expensive and my budget only goes so far and am more than willing to use other companies products if I can source a better alternative,
@squidgybidge I think this price rise may be that tipping point for a lot more collectors then last years one, most likly in the Oceanic region. GW will have increased profits but reduced sales for another year. they are haemoraging sales
I'm from Argentina and i really want to play War40k but with those prices i simple go for Warmachine : $64.37 on Amazon a BattleGroup+theExactpaints for that faction , while for the other game i need $150 to begin it... no way!
I Agree with everything you just said. I have had my suspicions for a long time now with their price increasing steadily. Now they have decided to shaft their Australian customers and are increasing the price of what used to be metal miniatures when resin is cheaper...well i'm going to have to say no. I won't have this. I am going to look into Warmachine/Hordes and also Mantic games. I believe a great many other people will too.
Ive felt this for a long time from the ever so greedy GW, Ive sinced moved onto Warmachine and Hordes with Privateer Press, where I find the models very high quality, and the pricing based on pewter used in each mini, the models are superb.
They dont charge 2-3x more for a HQ just because its an HQ, if its a single small based model its the same price as a normal rank and file soldier because its the same amount of pewter. Regardless that the sculpt is amazing and more detailed then a troop
Every price hike comes with it attached a bunch of disgruntled gamers who, 10-20 years ago used to get a lot out of the games they made.
Personally my entry was through Block Mania in the late 80s and Warhammer came from there.
I can't enter the store, you will NOT find any staff on the High Streets anywhere in the UK that have staff that give a hard sell like GW do. It's enough to make me not want to play. Coupled with more price hikes, well yeah... how do you suggest that to your mates? :(
I've shifted to vallejo paints and generic brushes - you get more for much less price and the quality is excellent.
Minatures wise - I've developed the habit now of ebaying as much as possible and stripping the (normally poor) paintjob. Dettol is cheap and I have kitted out a 2000 pt Sm force for less than £100.
But then I am an experienced converter/painter - I wouldn't even try to sell the 'play with me - it'll cost you £300 to have a nudge around.
I'm from the LOTR corner and I couldn't agree with you more!
But don't forget Canada. Some 2-model blisters here go for $30 Canadian while $15 in the US. Even when the Canadian dollar is currently HIGHER than the US dollar! Yikes!
Everyone, thanks for the comments! glad to see I'm not the only one who is disapointed or enraged by the attitudes of gamesworkshop. I think this time round might have been one time too many for gamers and this bad choice will come home to roost for them
and to everyone that has subbed, many thanks! more vids will be forthcoming shortly!
Just support your local store and dont buy their stuff. Simple. Your doing it anyways. GW will go broke eventually and or be forced to change their ways. Be glad they are doing it, it has given other companys and games a look in. Seriously though my view is that they are aiming for the prestige market and WANT other companys to take over the "mass market" space. its a win win for em as more gamers flock to the cheaper stuff and they get natural overflow. they make the same in the end costing les
@cyphertheory The people at GW should seriously consider taking a business class. Having customers pay an arm and leg or miniatures is wrong, but the fact that they're also cutting off another arm (figuratively speaking) is just down right wrong. If they want the product to sell more they should lower their price range. I do believe the supervisors need to seriously pull out the rod that's so far up their asses. sorry, still agry about the price hike.
@cyphertheory honestly, if it's cheaper and has just as good of quality miniatures, it will probably happen. Granted GW will keep their fanboys that have been there since the beginning, but still, it'll not end well for them. That's just my two cents though.
@cyphertheory I don't know why they're treating their customer base so shitty. They seriously do need to stop or else new players won't get into the game, for reasons like you said (having to drop up to $500 just to get an army, and that's excluding paints and greenstuff and the whatnot. I don't know, I just feel that if they keep these shenanigans up, they're going to lose A LOT of revenue, and some other game will knock them off their "golden throne" and take the power.
@cyphertheory well spoken mate, i feel this did need to be addressed. I live in the States, and well, our currency is crap now, basically if I were to buy a box of Terminators (just 5) I could've bought an xbox game...to me, yes terminators are really cool models, but i don't think $2 worth of plastic at most, should be sold for $50+ dollars if you know what I mean. Idk, I love GW, they've got awesome figs, but as a new collector/painter they make me regret getting into the hobby.
@Girhin I completely agree, i got into the hobby at christmas and the fact im collectiong guardsmen, is going to be **** expensive but im still eager to collect, I just hope not to many people leave the hobby!
No way I'm going to pay $62 (£40) for a box of 10 regular space marines that come with little else. I already moved away from most of the paint range because $6(£4) is far too much for 12mL of paint that has poor coverage and dries up easily.
Its nice to see that other people have the same opinion as me. People tell me that i am not supporting GW because i moved onto 6mm. But there business venture over the last 6 years is the craziest I've ever heard of.
Thank you sir for making people finnaly understand that they are pushing their Luck!
well said mate. I hate going in to my local gw for the same reason. I went in there with my wife about a year ago. when we left she said are they always that obnoxious and pushy. I said yup at my store they are :( The main point you make value for money is spot on
a rhino £20 = 35pts in game that is pretty essential to you army but need to field at least 2 or 3 rhino/razorbacks in a regular army to make it fairly competitive
@OrcPainterNerd I agree with the pushy part. When I just started the hobby 2 years ago I took the academy, which, by the way, sucks since the only two painting techniques they teach you are dry brushing and washing, and for basing they only used one color! And after the painting, where they gave me an old standard brush, there words were "Pay more $6 for a dry brush, it's worth it." after the painting lesson, He wouldn't stop hassling me until I borrowed a dollar from my dad to pay him the $6
Very well said, I learned of your channel in our Ventrilo channel. Subbed. Please consider this a personal invite to come join us for the fun! Pm me for the info.
Well said sir! A major part of an hobby is getting your friends involved. It is totally embarrassing to even hint towards the amount of money dumped into little plastic toys. With price hikes people will always tend to leave, but they just do it too often for the consumer to feel valued anymore.
It's indeed a shame that the prices have to get so high for GW's products. It's hard enough to get new players, and you're not going to get them interested in a game that, like you said, costs you an arm and a leg to actually play.

Warlord games, rulebook, starter box set, officers £100 with maybe 130 models
GW need to sort prices out, they seem to be under the illusion that they are the only game company around still, morons.

i hate how they make it so you pay more money in real life for better units in the game..they are using our love for cool fiction to get money out of us...in the end your just buying small bitz of plastic...to people..wifes,friends ect it must see insane..its is insane! its ment to be a FUN hobby...not an investment :(

Tactical squad in NZ is $72.60 - Our minimum wage is $13.00 an hour.
BigJaseNZ 9 months ago
loved the video.
Valbarca 9 months ago
I just got into the hobby myself, after years of deliberation I decided to go for the Skaven (fantasy). I must say I was intimidated to see what the total cost was of the minis I ordered! This must be 1 of the most expensive hobby's ever. When you buy minis you need to paint them. So you buy paints, brushes, flock, glues, bits, trays, dies, templates, codex's, etc. Bring the price down, more people will start playing. Stop raising prices; you give back the hobby to people who enjoy playing it!
bazZy33K 9 months ago
40k Is already expensive without the price increase. I recently started a new Eldar army and I have spend around 250£ for a 1500point army. And I am not counting paints and modelling materials.

soooo...... anybody up for some warmachine?
holanoobs 9 months ago 8
@holanoobs indeed.
theclash24 9 months ago
@holanoobs Holy shit, do I agree with you. I was going to get into 40k, and I thought it was going to be great. And then I saw these types of videos, and I realised that the company making my miniatures are complete idiots! I'm quitting 40k and I'm going to Warmachine, because Privateer Press is a great company! I'm thinking of starting a Khador army, they look really cool. I gargled over the Warjacks! They just look so damn good. Part two below.
SmerkenKerk 7 months ago
@SmerkenKerk Also, Privateer Press don't pull that bullshit like with GW. Oh, I'm sorry, you can only sell to your country and to the US, what a load of crap. Also, Warmachine seems to have alot more balanced and tactical gameplay. And at least Privateer Press updates their armies on time. Anyway, I'm going with Warmachine and if GW dosen't turn themselves around, I fear for them. Anyway, see yah!
-SmerkenKerk
SmerkenKerk 7 months ago
@SmerkenKerk aww khador? iwas thinkin of dem too, the spriggan is badass, iv got a huge necron army, and the only things imma gona get from em is the new necron dex, and the white dwarf, and of course Gw paints (because blood red looks good on khador)
holanoobs 7 months ago
In Australia it costs men between $400-$600 to make a 2000pts standard warhammer 8th ed army
ushabti1 9 months ago
I am from Australia it costs me $150 for a battle force and our currency is worth7 cents more the the English economy and our GST is only 10% compared to your 20%. It is all bad management the current business leader is a cock with shit for brains he has no idea how to run a profitable company if you look a their profit statement it is skimpy the money is just being put in the wrong places they need to advertise and be competitive the ultramarines movie could have been realsed that the cinema

I was told by a GW rep that the kind of resin they are using is a kind that will work in their old metal spin-cast molds.
So they're not even getting new molds.

Reason I commented as below. I agree somewhat with your rant, but all hobbies are expensive.

@squidgybidge aye they do, but if they stop representing value(entertainment, quality etc) its time to walk away imho

Oh by the way the rivers are not free you need to pay to use them
squidgybidge 9 months ago
@squidgybidge sure, I can see where you are coming from, but your logic is slightly off. I can pick up a single club from the charity shop and go to a driving range, or buy a rod from a discount store for less then £20 (which I have recently done!) these things have not had dramatic rises year on year for essentially the same product.
I am not happy being a GW customer any more. thats how I feel about it. if you are happy with it then good for you, rock on!
cyphertheory 9 months ago
@cyphertheory I can see what you are saying, but I have also picked up cheap GW product from sites such as eBay. Yes you can go to a driving range, but you still need to outlay to use even a driving range and after a finite amount of balls your money is spent. If you want new product like in any hobby then it costs and unfortunately for GW it seems the cost has gone up again. Fishing you still need a permit for the water you are going to and the better the stretch the more expensive the permit.
squidgybidge 9 months ago 2
@squidgybidge long may the good ebay deals last, I have also got some good kit from there. to be honest it's less the price, but more the attitude of GW (especially the way the staff are trained and motivated these days in the retail stores) that puts me off
cyphertheory 9 months ago
@cyphertheory I totally agree about the hard sell. If the staff don't know you, then they pounce all over you and it does get right up my goat. My local branch manager knows us and yes he tries to sell us stuff, but without the hard sell. The Glasgow store however does give the hard sell, which puts me off. However, compared to furniture stores, electrical etc they are just doing the same thing.
What puts us hobbiests off is that traditionally our market place isn't used to the hard sell.
squidgybidge 9 months ago
@cyphertheory That said I always have to justify whether I can afford GW product as it is expensive and my budget only goes so far and am more than willing to use other companies products if I can source a better alternative,
squidgybidge 9 months ago
@squidgybidge I think this price rise may be that tipping point for a lot more collectors then last years one, most likly in the Oceanic region. GW will have increased profits but reduced sales for another year. they are haemoraging sales
cyphertheory 9 months ago
I'm from Argentina and i really want to play War40k but with those prices i simple go for Warmachine : $64.37 on Amazon a BattleGroup+theExactpaints for that faction , while for the other game i need $150 to begin it... no way!
DraskyVanderhoff 9 months ago
I Agree with everything you just said. I have had my suspicions for a long time now with their price increasing steadily. Now they have decided to shaft their Australian customers and are increasing the price of what used to be metal miniatures when resin is cheaper...well i'm going to have to say no. I won't have this. I am going to look into Warmachine/Hordes and also Mantic games. I believe a great many other people will too.
Wraithspine 9 months ago
Ive felt this for a long time from the ever so greedy GW, Ive sinced moved onto Warmachine and Hordes with Privateer Press, where I find the models very high quality, and the pricing based on pewter used in each mini, the models are superb.
They dont charge 2-3x more for a HQ just because its an HQ, if its a single small based model its the same price as a normal rank and file soldier because its the same amount of pewter. Regardless that the sculpt is amazing and more detailed then a troop
miniwargamereric 9 months ago
Every price hike comes with it attached a bunch of disgruntled gamers who, 10-20 years ago used to get a lot out of the games they made.
Personally my entry was through Block Mania in the late 80s and Warhammer came from there.
I can't enter the store, you will NOT find any staff on the High Streets anywhere in the UK that have staff that give a hard sell like GW do. It's enough to make me not want to play. Coupled with more price hikes, well yeah... how do you suggest that to your mates? :(
w0lf101 9 months ago
I've shifted to vallejo paints and generic brushes - you get more for much less price and the quality is excellent.
Minatures wise - I've developed the habit now of ebaying as much as possible and stripping the (normally poor) paintjob. Dettol is cheap and I have kitted out a 2000 pt Sm force for less than £100.
But then I am an experienced converter/painter - I wouldn't even try to sell the 'play with me - it'll cost you £300 to have a nudge around.
HairyTaff101 9 months ago
I'm from the LOTR corner and I couldn't agree with you more!
But don't forget Canada. Some 2-model blisters here go for $30 Canadian while $15 in the US. Even when the Canadian dollar is currently HIGHER than the US dollar! Yikes!

Everyone, thanks for the comments! glad to see I'm not the only one who is disapointed or enraged by the attitudes of gamesworkshop. I think this time round might have been one time too many for gamers and this bad choice will come home to roost for them
and to everyone that has subbed, many thanks! more vids will be forthcoming shortly!
cyphertheory 9 months ago
I say it's time for someone to start producing quality knock-offs in China. You can change things up just enough to avoid copyright issues.
GhostofCicero 9 months ago
Just support your local store and dont buy their stuff. Simple. Your doing it anyways. GW will go broke eventually and or be forced to change their ways. Be glad they are doing it, it has given other companys and games a look in. Seriously though my view is that they are aiming for the prestige market and WANT other companys to take over the "mass market" space. its a win win for em as more gamers flock to the cheaper stuff and they get natural overflow. they make the same in the end costing les
vertigus28 9 months ago
@cyphertheory The people at GW should seriously consider taking a business class. Having customers pay an arm and leg or miniatures is wrong, but the fact that they're also cutting off another arm (figuratively speaking) is just down right wrong. If they want the product to sell more they should lower their price range. I do believe the supervisors need to seriously pull out the rod that's so far up their asses. sorry, still agry about the price hike.
Girhin 9 months ago
@cyphertheory honestly, if it's cheaper and has just as good of quality miniatures, it will probably happen. Granted GW will keep their fanboys that have been there since the beginning, but still, it'll not end well for them. That's just my two cents though.
Girhin 9 months ago
@cyphertheory I don't know why they're treating their customer base so shitty. They seriously do need to stop or else new players won't get into the game, for reasons like you said (having to drop up to $500 just to get an army, and that's excluding paints and greenstuff and the whatnot. I don't know, I just feel that if they keep these shenanigans up, they're going to lose A LOT of revenue, and some other game will knock them off their "golden throne" and take the power.
Girhin 9 months ago
@cyphertheory well spoken mate, i feel this did need to be addressed. I live in the States, and well, our currency is crap now, basically if I were to buy a box of Terminators (just 5) I could've bought an xbox game...to me, yes terminators are really cool models, but i don't think $2 worth of plastic at most, should be sold for $50+ dollars if you know what I mean. Idk, I love GW, they've got awesome figs, but as a new collector/painter they make me regret getting into the hobby.
Girhin 9 months ago
@Girhin I completely agree, i got into the hobby at christmas and the fact im collectiong guardsmen, is going to be **** expensive but im still eager to collect, I just hope not to many people leave the hobby!
MilkyWarhammer40k 9 months ago
@MilkyWarhammer40k im glad im not the only one in that boat lol
Girhin 9 months ago
Totally agree. I really hope GW starts to listen to opinions like this before it's too late.
6necro66 9 months ago
You tell em!
No way I'm going to pay $62 (£40) for a box of 10 regular space marines that come with little else. I already moved away from most of the paint range because $6(£4) is far too much for 12mL of paint that has poor coverage and dries up easily.
Keep shooting yourselves in the foot GW...
ArynCrinn 9 months ago
Agreed. Unfortunate. Price hikes are not the way to keep a customer or fan base. At some point it becomes gouging.... Sad really...

Its nice to see that other people have the same opinion as me. People tell me that i am not supporting GW because i moved onto 6mm. But there business venture over the last 6 years is the craziest I've ever heard of.
Thank you sir for making people finnaly understand that they are pushing their Luck!
AchtungSPITFIREroar 9 months ago
well said mate.
OrcPainterNerd 9 months ago
@OrcPainterNerd I agree with the pushy part. When I just started the hobby 2 years ago I took the academy, which, by the way, sucks since the only two painting techniques they teach you are dry brushing and washing, and for basing they only used one color! And after the painting, where they gave me an old standard brush, there words were "Pay more $6 for a dry brush, it's worth it." after the painting lesson, He wouldn't stop hassling me until I borrowed a dollar from my dad to pay him the $6

Well said sir! A major part of an hobby is getting your friends involved. It is totally embarrassing to even hint towards the amount of money dumped into little plastic toys. With price hikes people will always tend to leave, but they just do it too often for the consumer to feel valued anymore.
BlueWarGaming 9 months ago
It's indeed a shame that the prices have to get so high for GW's products. It's hard enough to get new players, and you're not going to get them interested in a game that, like you said, costs you an arm and a leg to actually play.
fyberness 9 months ago
I agree matey, I don't think they do enough for use older players or value the people that advertise their product. Well said, well said.
