@Luscinia57 It was originally written in 1979. But even though it was a solo song they put it on the Jackson's Victory album in 1984. I think it's a shame it wasn't released on any of Michael's solo albums. It's his song completely! Michael also wrote Can You Feel it around the same time, 1979 - 1980.

@8MJfan8 No,this song "Be Not Always" is from 1979.Michael was about 20 years old when he wrote this!It has very mature lyrics in many ways for someone so young,but Michael was always ahead of His time.And even as a child He was more adult like,He sang like an adult when he was 9 years old.Marlon said "We wrote a song called Be Not Always and it's about children"
