  • do you know what to do when your beardie isnt eating?

  • They can see red lights turn it off at night it can get as low as 60-65 F at night and its actually healthy for them to to cool off in the night

  • I used to have a fish tank its about 2ft by 2ft is that ok? Just for one though.

  • i have a redmouth , they are rare :D

  • how do you take care of your pets without getting lazy?? cause sometimes I get lazy and postpone my lizard's feeding

  • cool vidio

  • @hater4life1334

My beardie is about 6mo old and she eat anywhere from 15 to 25 crickets a day (sometimes more). And for feeding it a backyard worm, I wouldn't recommend it. They could have a disease or parasite that could harm your beardie.

  • i love reptile carpet but when my crested gecko attacked his crickets his teeth would get stuck in it so i had to change it.

  • I am getting a bearded dragon pretty soon that is 6mo old. How many crickets would he eat? And if I were to find a worm in the garden would it be ok for him to eat it

  • My biology teacher has 2 of these and when she let me hold the male, i fell in love with it xD

  • I use dubis(my spelling may not be correct) Roches. They are verry easy to care and breed at a constent rate, all i did was through them in a large tupper ware box cut a hole in the to hot glued a mash screen in its place and bought 50 male and 50 females for 40$ through some crushed ice and an orange and bam! the best part is if they smell you just through that orange in and they dont smell for a month

  • What about heating pads underneath? I have three leopard geckos, and I keep them warm using a heating pad underneath both. One doesn't even have a lamp. They stay warm via heating pad and a heating rock.

When it comes to bearded dragons... A heating pad would prove pointless, right?

  • Ive been a bearded dragon lover and owner for several years now ... Im looking to buy another female and i was wondering if its safe to put it in with one of my other females in my large cage the female is 16in and the beardie i looking at getting is 10in.... im def getting this new beardie and and just wanna make sure its safe to put the 2 together and if not i have other cages she can b in its just a space saver to put them together.

  • HEY really important question. what do you do if the power goes out in your house

  • you're lucky that yours get along. none of our 5 beardies can be put together. Our females beat the crap out of our poor males and eachother....

  • Hey..thanks for making these vids. I have a question. I have a 2 year old female beardie who has always been sweet as pie and non-confrontational, and now, since getting a new light 2 days ago she has gone all Cujo on us....bobbing and angry, which she has never been before. Could it possibly be because the light is too strong? We have a 150watt in a 30-40 gallon tank. We are moving her to a bigger one, just waiting for it to be built. She's not gaping like the others do when they're hot...

  • Whats the aluminum foil for?

  • what website do you buy your crickets from?

  • @ShogunGaming Try WestCoastRoaches.. just google it.

  • I love how you're putting you're thumb on his head and he's just chilling saying 'I ain't even mad' I love these guys. I just got a new one today :] I owned one for 2.5 years but I had to give him away and I got this chubby one at 8 months :] he's a punk, got a basking rock for him and he just sits in the tree looking back at me then the rock and then back at me just to spite me lol

  • How do you clean the poop off the carpet? Do they smell? I'm thinking about getting one but I don't want to spend so much time cleaning and having my room stink.

  • @Vette26 we used to have a carpet as well but it did smell reaaly really bad, so now we use bran flakes, which works beautifully because they can ingest it with no issues.

  • How long should. My dragon be At 4 months old

  • a day light does not give off uvb!!

  • @11coolanimal my light is a UVB light, not just a 'day light'.

  • How much is he eating and what? What is the temp???

  • hi my bearded dragon keeps going the colour black and is not that active please help!!

  • @tonyjragan is your cage setup properly and is his food/diet good?

  • I'm thinking of getting a corn snake< is that a good idea because my parents are a little bit scared of snakes but i am not?

  • @neiljjp123 corn snakes are good beginner snakes. they stay fairly small and are easy to care for.

  • @neiljjp123 corn snakes make absolutely WONDERFUL pets! we have 2 of them, and I tell you, when we go to our female Caspra's cage to get out, she comes straight out and is shaking because she is soooo excited. They love to be pet too! believe it or not. Mine stay in one place to be pet, and they like to watch tv and You Tube videos! lol

  • i was thinking of getting a bearded dragon but im in college and i have a dog do you think i will be able to do my work as well as giving equal attention to the dragon and my dog ?

  • @donnaf630 You are the only one who can answer that question.

  • Is it normal to find crickets in the kitchen and bathroom, both downstairs and upstairs bathrooms. My tank is upstairs and the cricket keeper is in a drawer under the tank. I don't know what is happening, please reply

  • @SL3APYH3AD11 u must be losing some crickets from time to time... be careful. and keep your house clean of food or they will eat and multiply in your house

  • I have one of those pull up bars to :) cool beardies btw

  • im getting a bearded dragon next week

  • hay can you offer any advise for a beginner dragon career

  • You cant feed bearded dragons eggs or am i wrong?

  • please read! i bought a beardead dragon yestarday he is 2 years old, the day i got him he ate three eal worms. i got some fruits and vegtebals today and he wont eat. i dont know if he is sick or any thing like thattt.

  • hi i was going to go get a beardie tomorrow he is 12 months old in a 75 gallon tank. when feeding him mice how often/many per week would he eat, also when feeding him worms etc how many is to many, also the temperature of the tank should it be 95-105 on the very bottom of the tank or moreso towards the peak of the tree that i have for his basking are this is my first reptile so please bare with me. all info is greatly appreciated thank you

  • @slayyyer2 mice are more of a once in a while treat rather than a main food. Your beardie will be eating a lot of veggies also as he ages, but you should feed mainly crickets, and other insects, a pinkie mouse from here to there, and some veggies.

  • PLEASE READ IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!! my beardies night light died will he be ok !!

  • @FXoReflex if its at night time he should be alright but the very next day rush out and buy 1 ASAP

  • @FXoReflex I have a bearded dragon and he doesnt even use a night light....he really only needs the heating lamp. The night light is just for you and him to see.

  • @earthling1984

Hello. I was going to buy a bearded dragon tomorow. The thing is I can only afford a 15-120 Gallon tank. this is the size of tank he is in at the pet store.

    He is only 6 months.

Now I was going to buy a pre built setup.

My question is should I just purchase eveything first then buy the Beardie?

It would be fully set up to a 40 galon tank in like 2 months.

So could it still be healthy and happy in that setup for 2 months?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @xlUBETARUNlx hey heres my advice if you didn't yours yet

i think you should wait to buy him so when you get him you immediately introduce him to his long term home. it's better to wait and not take the chance to stress him out. and the less stressed he is the happier he'll be and the better he'll look.

  • @TheWhoafish I agree with you 100%. Its what I came to realise a couple of days ago.

But thanks for the advice and have a great day.

  • Earthling do you think that a tank wit the dimensions 60*40*30cm will be enough for 2 adult dragons?

  • @rolgarcia1 no

  • @earthling1984 What dimmensions would you recomend?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheWhoafish because i have to guide myself by dimmensions to fit make a tank for them, the tanks arround here are tall.

  • Ok, I have a 2 year old bearded dragon that I feed 10-15 crickets a day, but the guy at the pet store told me to feed 10-15 every other day, my question is how many crickets should I feed her a day.

  • EVERYONE READ THIS! Do NOT give your bearded dragon iceberg lettuce! It contains a poison which can kill your beardie!

  • Comment removed

  • PLEASE READ soo i just bought a baby bearded dragon like 3 weeks ago and he is doing GREAT but he ran out of crickets but i still have mealworms left.. he loves mealworms i was wondering if i could just feed him mealworms instead of crickets if i soo how many of them a day thanks!!!

    -Nick

  • @FXoReflex mealworms are too fatty for a daily diet, but are fine on occasion. try to get more crickets, but your dragon will be fine with the mealworms for a bit.

  • @earthling1984 if i got a 35 gallon tank for 1 bearded dragon. mine is an adult, bout 7 years old.

  • what kind of eggs

  • what would you recomend for bedding?

  • @cabelasportsmen I use reptile carpet in my beardie's viv. But I have heard of people using shelf liner also. I really like the carpet though, it is easy to clean up her poop and every other week I take out the 4 pieces (I cut them to fit perfectly) stick them in my shower run super hot water through them then let them soak in clean water for about 5 minutes and then let them dry out completely. If she throws some greens around, I use a lint roller for an easy clean up too.

  • nice bearded dragons but u dont feed them lettuce it bad 4 them

  • @Sardenz303 I don't know, I would buy a cage and a 75 watt bulb. Beardies should be in a 50 gallon aquarium or terrarium.

  • Thanks I have a guestion could I house a adult bearded Dragon in a 45 gallon long tub but cuting out the sides and putting plexi glass with a screen top and a 125 or 75 whaat bulb with UVB

  • What do u keep ur crickets in

  • @Sardenz303 tubs

  • Do u breed crikets

  • @Sardenz303 sometimes yes, but I don't always have them breeding, but I do from time to time.

  • @TheTurtleaddict don't worry too much about it. Normally it's just nipped tails (A brother or sister probually bitt his tail thats all!)

  • @lostinthepiano no, bearded dragons are VERRY easy to take care of. I recentley got my 2nd one. I wouldent worry too much about that.

  • how long does it take to tame these guys?i have one and ive had mine since the beginning of august, but mine is still jumpy

  • @wolverine1865 if you purchase from a quality breeder, they should be tame their whole life. if they are mean, it means they weren't handled or were in bad conditions before you purchased.

  • Dude your NOT suppose to feed them any mice they could or will get impacted and die. Also when they are young they show no intrest in fruit or pelits veges.

  • hi, i was wondering where i could buy a baby leather back bearded dragon because i live in canada and i,m only 15 so if you could help i would be very happy :)

  • @larch7811 i got mine from lllreptile website

  • The bearded dragon i am getting dosent have a pointy tail like yours it justs stops suddenly but there is not wound its just about half a centimeter wide at the end he is only a baby

  • awwww ther soo cute i wish tht i could hav one but i already hav 2 leopard geckos and im afraid taking on a bearded dragon would b 2 difficult

  • ¿sabes la cantidad de dragones barbudos son animales de compañía en vi?

  • aha they look like they must love you!

  • :I I have one it's in a 50 Gallon cage, getting another one so I can breed them too. :D

  • @DylanBurke11 lucky! (: thats good

  • Bearded dragons are awesome I have some but there hypo red tigers

  • Do you know of a good thing to say to my mum to persuade to let me get a bearded dragon? I want one so bad!

  • Is it ok if my bearded dragon dosent open his eyes when i hold him he is just a baby but sometimes there closed in the cage as well like in his basking spot once he had em closed just laying on the ground

  • How much would a 30 gallon tank be? Do you know where to get a cheap one? Thanks.

  • @JordanaOfficial try to find a used one at a local pet shop or online auction site.

  • hey i gota question im gettin a chris allen red in about 5 days and i was wondering how big a full size one gets

  • @AlphaaClann Some of the larger bearded dragons can get up to 2 feet(including tail); however, most stay between 18 and 20 inches. Males are usually a bit larger than females as well.

  • hey nice one i have pigmy beardys. u spent 100 bucks getting them and walk outside and theres wild ones everywhere

  • what size tank do you need for just one

  • ....okay thanks....btw check out my vids... new ones every monday

  • how many bearded dragons can i keep 3 adults in....

  • @legomygecko123 you mean what size cage? A 75gallon to 125gallon would be ok

  • no mine is two times bigger than yours because mine is a german giant

  • got a leatherback

  • Where would you recommend picking up a baby dragon at? I've heard terrible things about PetSmart, which is the only pet store near me. I purchased 2 leopard geckos from them a couple years back, and one of them died from a parasite. Same thing happened to my buddies gecko, which he picked up the same day as me from the same store.

  • Is pineapple good for them is a female better cause usually females are nicer and stud like that

  • what uva uvb piont should i use... e.g. 5.0

  • how big does your bearded dragon have to be to give it a bath

  • Thanks

  • Thanks I should probably get one! My power goes out slot in the winter that's New Hampshire for ya.

  • @glitchminion ya, they are often sold for computers, but they will power anything. it's just like a power strip that has a battery backup in it. 'APC' is one brand that sells them.

  • What should I do to keep the tank warm if my power go out

  • @glitchminion for a day or two it should be alright. Well, unless it is like freezing in your house, but at temps above 60F, they should be ok for a day or two. You could go buy one of those battery backup power strips, they would keep at least your heatpads running for a long time, if not ur heat lights.

  • What should I do If my power goes out?

  • i have a female bearded dragon, and my friend brought his male over and the male was biting my female, i dont know what is wrong

  • is all of the lighting information the same for a juvenile/baby bearded dragon? and also, do you HAVE to feed them pinky or fuzzy mice? are the okay on a diet with crickets, pellets and fruits and vegetables?

  • @Fewey12345 baby dragons you can have the temp a little warmer by a couple degres, but pretty much the same. you don't need to feed pinkies at all, insects are fine.

  • I just got a Baby Bearded Dragon today, and it sits for long periods of time. Is this normal? Its almost like it's scared to move.

  • @bornonice87 probably normal, mine often sit on their log for hours at a time, only moving their heads from time to time.

  • @bornonice87 hes probualy just getting use to his new home they tend to be stressed and wont eat alot for the first few days

  • Does reptile carpet damage the nails?

  • (I have a thermometer)

  • Thank you so much for responding I will put your advice in GREAT consideration yes I assumed my UVB was a little on the low side and it seems to take awhile for my cage to heat up does that happen with you? My temp in the daytime is about 85f and at night 70f I know temp should be about 90-95 basking 100-115 and night around 80f I'm about to get my beardie in a weak and making lots of cage preparations before the bIG day thx so much for responding and plz reply

  • Plz respond

  • I have a question I'm about to get my beardie in a week I have a 150 watt blue day lamp for basking 20 watt UVB and a 50 watt night black heat lamp is that good?

  • @EpicDanceFreak as long as your temperature in your cage is good, then you are fine. The wattage of lights doesn't really tell me much because the height of the bulb will greatly vary the temperature of the cage. you need a thermometer and you need to make sure cage is proper temp. The UVB light also sounds weak, probably a tube or fluro of some type, I would go with a metal halide or mercury vapor bulb instead.

  • i wish you had this vid up 2 yrs ago it might of made a difference in my breaded dragons life span. it lived for a good 4. 5 yrs but i think this vid would lengthed it abit more -r.i.p. ivanna- p.s. 1 do you now how long they should live. and could you make a shot view that goes into very well detail on how to tell gender plz

  • @etemon65 they can live up to 15 years.

  • my bearded dragon wont eat its crickets... plz help! :'( it like.... just closes its eyes... and lays down... and we dont kno what to do. plz reply..

  • @jakedadio3448 is cage setup properly, how long have you owned, do you have proper UVB lighting and proper temperature?

  • @earthling1984 thank you so much for replying.... you see.... my temperature is at 80F and thats not my problem... he like... all he does is sleep. when hes awake he stays still and doesnt move. i actually saw him try to catch a cricket, but it touched his tounge, and it jumped away.... idk if hes sick... or ... im scared for it. i mean i gave it a bath, (warm water.) and it drank the water and i thought that was the problem cause he was active, but i havnt seen him eat not one cricket... :'(

  • @jakedadio3448 80F is not warm enough. Do you have UVB lighting? How long have you had him? how old and/or long is he?

  • @earthling1984 uhhh..... i have a 60 watt light bulb.... yes its UVB and its 50 watt at night time lighting. its a young dragon... so i would have to say about maybe 8 inches. maybe 9.

  • @jakedadio3448 your tank is too cold at 80F in the hot spot, and I doubt you have proper UVB. Try to get tank setup correctly or the bearded won't have a chance to live. It would be like a human living outdoors in 40F degres without a coat, you would last a while, but not too long.

  • @earthling1984 ok. i think i kno what to do now. thank you so much :) you helped alot.

  • sub to me im new and need some confadince i'd apriciate it thanks

    btw nice vid

  • hey do you have any tegu's

  • @11beardeddragon no :(

  • You wouldn't want to do lettuce because it clings to calcium in their bodies, making it harder to convert and help with healthy bone growth. Also, banana's have too much phosphorus in them, and while a little is always good, the amount is banana's can counter-balance the calcium in their diet in a negative way. Just a friendly heads up.

  • @Eric21228 Thanks for your comment, I'll keep the banana's to a minimum.

  • wow you hardly see yours drink? God, my little girl LOVES to drink! lol She gulps it down. And yes I feed her fruits, veggies, crickets, etc. She just loves water I guess.

  • hey i have a classpet bearded dragon and we get to take him home how many times should i feed him and where should i keep him are they sinsetive to loudness because my brother isquite loud!

  • @lovedanceXx2 feed him at least once a day, depending on age/size you will feed either mostly insects, or veggies(younger dragons eat mainly insects, older dragons eat mainly veggies)

  • i just got a female sandfire bearded dragon. How big of a tank do u nee

  • i have a bearded dragion and i dont know what to feed him other thin kail

  • @28986751 crickets

  • I WANT THAT FEMALE!!!

  • i have these cube things and the crickets go to them and he eats both

  • Lettuce is bad to feed Beardies, they have very little nutrition and they cause Diarrhea.

  • in a 29 gallon c;

  • gonna get one

  • Can someone please help me? I just got a bearded dragon, and from what I've noticed, he seems healthy. But yesterday, he made these "hiccup/squeaking" sounds, and then he went back to normal. Today, he twitched when I picked him up...Well, sort of. What happened was, when he was putting his hand on my finger for balance, it was making this twitching motion until it got to my finger. Also, he's going crazy, and he doesn't poop very much! And sometimes he eats a lot and sometimes he doesn't.

  • @CashSmeller I would just leave him alone in his cage for a few days. you said you just got him, so give him some time to get used to his new environment. Make sure his cage is setup correctly with proper temperature and UVB lighting. If he is young, give him a few crickets in the morning and late afternoon.

  • @earthling1984 k, thanks! (i think i exaggerated the pooping thing, he finally pooped today lol)

  • Your not suppose to put more than one in a 40 breeder. A 40 breeder is the bare minimum for 1.

  • @TheDrago1993 u want a 5.0 or 10.0, not a 2.0. but it would be better to get a metal halide or other type of UVB, or mercury vapor or one of the other types of good uvb lights.

  • Comment removed

  • What do i do when its winter and cold? More lights?? Oh and by the way can i like carry it around in my shoulder and stuff like that?

  • hey can u please do a feeding video like tips and step by step what you do

  • i got my bearded dragon Oct/8/2011 it is Oct/9/2011 so good video

  • can u make a video on baby bearded dragons

  • what about a baby bearded dragon

  • oh ok so wbout the feeding?

  • ok so u said 40 gallon tank for 2? so do i need a lid? i am gettin a 40 long and also can i only feed them crickets once a week? and fruits and others for the rest?

  • @hajello913 this is an old video, I would really recommend 40 for a single and 75 for two.

  • what size cage for two i have a beardy and want to get two leatherbacks please help thanx bray

  • @gage0997 a 75gallon would be good.

  • my dragons eaten some sand with the crickets but after that it eats it without eating the sand

  • would a 40 gallon work for an adult dragon

  • @feefee971 for a single adult dragon, yes.

  • Love you video, check out my CritterNook channel, I have added your video to my favorites.
