  • so all you are using is the 50mm 1.8 mark2? no adapter?

  • @tvdang7 Yes. It's an EF lens, and the 500D has an EF-S lens mount, compatible with all EF lenses. No adapter required.

  • Im sorry but i dont understand what white balance is. Could someone PLEASE explain?

  • @Appleaddict22 The reason there is white balance at all is that most light ain't white :) some light is more blue other light more of a yellow color.

your eyes automatically adapt to the new lighting you step into so that the yellow or blue looks white but your camera doesn't and you have to do it yourself or just let the camera try to do it on auto-mode

  • lol why did u sell ur t1i?

  • Good stuff. whatever program you're using to render your video- disable the frame blend or motion blur.

  • the best part of the video is .. the sexy voice.. LMAO!!! cool HD video dude!!

  • MAYBE the video was stuttering because ur memory card is not fast enough to record HD video. im not sure, just a possibility

  • whats the difference between Rebel T1i & 500D?? thanks

  • how did you get things to focus without the noise =\??

or was your voice just a voice over?

  • my voice was voice over, thanks for watching!

  • @ferlonjrTV just manually focus. much more smooth and no noise. here's a video i shot with the t1i, same lens and manual focusing. check out my profile to see tome t1i videos shot with manual focusing.

  • video looks good but how do you do white balance on T1i? when you say manual you mean turning switch to manual? also was this the lens that came with T1i?

  • i sold my t1i so i forgot how to white balance it, but when switching to manual you just switch to manual on the lens and the lens was not the one that came with the camera, it's the 50mm f1.8 lens from canon, which is cheap and gives good depth of field. thanks for watching!

  • did you have a lens filter on it?

  • i think i had a uv filter on it, i apologize for the late response?

  • This is going to sound like a really stupid question... but lol I don't even get how to use the high def video? I went to video mode on the dial and pressed the shutter button, which seemed obvious enough, and it took a picture! then I tried pressing live mode instead but again.... can you explain in a reply? LLLLLLLLLOL

  • lol....don't press the shutter button...instead....press the button with the red mark next to it....it's right next to the LCD screen of the camera

  • for how long can record full hd? and how many take can record? tenx

  • Next time, instead of begging everyone to stay and view the actual movie, you could show us the movie first, and then give us the proper explanation

  • nice I also have the camera its dope, What is the camcorder you have torward the end of the video?

  • Thanks, the camera was a canon hv30 with a lot of attachments on it.

  • damn man cut out the text stuff at the front a lot of people need to see this footage this is exactly what i wanted to see. now im gonna buy this camera

  • I too have the hv30 and just picked the T1i up today. F1.8 lens on order.

  • Thank you dude, finally someone putting a video up of this lens at work

  • Hi,

    What's the brand of your lens ? 50mm f/1.8 ?

What software did you use to edit it ?

    Nice video !

  • The brand of the lens is Canon, and I used Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 to edit. Thanks for your comment and compliment!

  • Thank you but where have you found the time effect ?

  • It's in the Project Panel at the bottom, you click on the icon that says "new item" and you'll see the "Universal Counting Leader" and there you go. I think this is what you are speaking of, right?

  • ouaaa!!!!!!!!!!! awesome You learnt me lots of things. That the fisrt time that I saw it on a video.

    Thanks man

  • does the kit come with a flash?

    good little review btw!

  • it comes with the built-in flash but I brought a 430EX II flash because the built-in flash is not that great. Thanks for the compliment and comment!

  • What export settings do you use? and what software to compress them?

  • I used the Adobe Media Encoder to compress the video. The settings I used were probably HDTV 1080i, not sure, I might have exported it wrong.

  • was that at 20fps? or 30?

  • Sytran, shooting in 1080p is 20fps | shooting in 720p is 30fps. This was shot in 720p.

  • 3:26 is that you camera set up? becasue its awesome. Also how much does the rebel cost?

  • Yes, that is my camera setup and thanks a lot!!! it works very nice. The rebel with the kit lens cost $900 and with just the body it is $800. I got it from Ritz Camera and the accessories from B&H and some from Adorama.
