If you drop ANY cell phone/mp3 player/laptop or anything in water.

TAKE OUT the battery and let the thing sit for a WEEK in a bucket with rice.

a full week is the safest way....

Last year, me and my friends went to Cabo for the weekend, I was recording the trip on my iphone. Then we decided to chill out the pool and dropped it by accident on the water, so I immediately pulled it out and began shaking and doing crazy stuff to avoid critical damage on it. I actually did the same hair dryer thing too but I waited patiently till no water remained and powered it back on and worked perfectly. A week after that, it fell off my desk and stop working. That really sucks though!
