13 is not what it used to be. but seeing jerry and denise doing recap (which could be a whole 'nother journey into broadcast reality at times) brought back great memories. baltimoreans truly support personalities...and there were none like jerry turner.

I remember (and wish it was part of this video) when the baltimore Orioles were in last place at the end of the year. John Buren (the sports guy then) asked Denise who was going to win the world series next year? She said the Orioles. She was right!

It is so great to see newsanchors stick around and become a legend. I remember seeing Denise when I worked for Balitmore International Culinary College back in the mid 90s. I worked in Michigan, but came out to Baltimore for meetings. WJZ-13 was the best station in Baltimore from what I remember from those visits over 3 years.
We had major legend newsanchors from the 80s and 90s here in Detroit. Not so much any longer. A few remain, I guess.
