  • Sometimes its hard to comment on this videos. I am Namibian and sometimes it hurts to read all this bad comments about my motherland and about how we are nothing without European interference. Thats not true. The world is a messed up place, Europe and other continents have their own problems to. Why is the world so quick to judge Africa...Other countries make mistakes to but words are much sharper when directed towards us..Change and start helping instead of being so bitter and judgmental.

  • @ndeshyjason I totally agree with you. People here in Europe juge to fast about Africa. I'm a dutchmen and in some years I will come to Africa to see what's really going on. I hear only the europeon version of the story's, but I want to see both sides

  • kocham ten kraj i pozdrawiam wszystkich Namibijczykow

  • BeAuTiFuL CItY

  • this city looks great! but whats with the music?

  • For those of you wondering about the music, it's called 'For The First Time (Kissing You)' from the soundtrack to the film Tre metri sopra il cielo.

  • no white and coloured in nambia are still around they never left leaves country . cause many of them are born there

  • I can't help but admire the how nice the roads are! No joke!! Anyway would love to pay a visit one day.

  • Windhoek is beautiful because whites made it what is was today Namibia didnt become independent until the 1980s in 20 years it will be a dilapidated shit hole because Africans are running it

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls Isn't that a bit racist?

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls Let me tell u , now it has been 21 years now, and Whk, my Capital city is more beautiful than ur uncles and grand fathers did , all they did was still our diamonds and rape my ancestors, even if they had never came there I think it would be purely more beautiful and natural, so dont talk shit useless piece of shit.

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls Another thinG, it is regarded today one of the most cleanest city in Africa, and WORLD, AND still is being run by Afrikans, the REAL OWNERS.

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls Another thinG, it is regarded today one of the most cleanest city in Africa, and WORLD, AND still is being run by Afrikans, the REAL OWNERS. SO JUST GO AND SLEEP

  • @187edo Its clean because whites built it they left in the 80s your mooching off their greatness niggers exist to lick our boots when their not licking our boots they end up killing each other like savages in africa just like all the other african nations namibia will become a shit hole in a few years due to neglect by the local savages

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls

Windhoek is a nice, incredibly clean, friendly city TWENTY YEARS AFTER INDEPENDENCE. So I really do not know what the hell you're talking about. I don't know if you are a namibian like me, but it is very clear to me that the Windhoek municipality, under white AND black governance always plan the city well, and always make an effort to keep the city attractive, so stop your stupid sensless whining...

  • @antonburger01 80 years of being developed and built by whites must make you think that your people actually did something perhaps? No they didnt call it what you will it doesnt change history there is no "senseless whining" only a strong disgust for what africa has turned into.

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls Well perhaps you should apply your argument where it is due and not just throw it at anything that is African. I've also been to the rest of Africa, and I may agree to an extent, however quite clearly there is no reason yet to criticise Windhoek, or Namibia generally for that matter, because it clearly is as of yet a completely different city.

  • @antonburger01 I was in winhoek in the early 1980s and witnessed how the perceived apartheid system south africa had in place was almost non existent in windhoek yet people stilled complained im not denying apartheid or racism in general was non existent but Namibians claiming to have built windhoek themselves and taking pride in something they had nothing to do with is disgusting most of the buildings were built by colonials i was raised in rhodesia and understand african history quite well.

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls only a honky would come up with that kind of gobledegook

  • @TheMambavenom Is that your argument? An unintelligent insult and a phrase that hasn't been used since the 1950s?

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls There could be one outcome after 400 years of colonial pathology on indigenous Africans, victims of genocide, slavery, and de humanising brutality.

But its a done deal, most Africans are waking up to the true reality of their enemy.

  • @TheMambavenom The true enemy of the african people is the african people you all fight each other over idiotic things destroy your countries in mindless civil wars then turn around and blame white people. Try comparing european economic exploitation to endless civil wars tribal genocide child soldiers famine and unchecked government corruption what did you truly gain from independence other then more hardship?

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls the wars will abate and hopefully people can deal with the real enemy, they made a very positive start in Zimbabwe. its a pity the rest of Africa does not follow suit.

  • @TheMambavenom What start in zimbabwe? Their currency went from like 1 trillion zmb to 1 usd to 1 billion zmb to 1usd their still in massive inflation and debt foreign investors are pulling out because mugabe threatened to nationalize the companies if they didnt start paying more in taxes and wages once they pack up and leave the small slither of hope they had economically will dissappear.

  • @Trolleymctrolltrolls not all of africa is like that dumb one

  • @antonburger01 more bullshit coming out your rectum

  • @TheMambavenom I don't understand, from your channel I presume you are a black man with a good dose of black pride, I am a born and bred Namibian (Afrikaner), I love my city Windhoek (though I am currently employed in JHB SA) and would like to return there. Through my pots I have consistently commended the City of Windhoek Municipality under black management for the lovliness of the city. I've come up for my fellow Africans in my posts, and this is your reply? Maybe you misunderstood my posts...

  • @antonburger01 sorry Mr antonburger01 my comment was designed and meant for Trollymctrolltrolls The Rhodie twat!!

  • @TheMambavenom No problem, man!

  • @antonburger01 a white dutch colonizer loves the african people isnt this too much sarcasm since i have never seen a white colonizer love africans and it has never happened by the way

  • @lanamibiacom i am a Namibian in Italy and i am totally disturbed by your view of colonization, if you think that the tens of thousands who were brutalized, killed by the Europeans for our own land did so for you to carelessly spit your venom on such a sensitive as you do now, i would definitely do whatever can had i had the opportunity to cut off of your ties with great country you are preying on and talking rubbish about today...

  • I had to go to Roman Catholic Hospital next to the church at 0:51 in february :P

  • one of the worlds many un-known NICE cities...

  • @finajet ikr!!!. even the country itself. if u tell somone ur namibian they would be like, nam..WHAT?..

  • Wasn't it the Germans who coloised Namibia until after WW2 & then the League of Nations mandated it as part of South Africa? So why is Namibia part of the Commonwealth nations?

  • @karlkarlkarl1234 I THINK it's because Namibia was completely governed by SA as a South African territory while South Africa was still closely affiliated the UK, before Becoming a Republic. SA was part of the Commonwealth, and through SA, Namibia, bacame a member (as once being an SA territory.)

  • @antonburger01

A yes that makes good sense, thank you.

  • @JohnfromPerth DuMBASS LOOK AT RAWANDA,NIGERIA,UGANDA ALL HAVE BETTER GROWTH RATES THAN EASTERN EUROPE.YOU RACIST BASTARDS ARE NOT WANTED OR NEEDED IN AFRICA.STAY OFF OUR LAND OR YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED ONE DAY.

  • @lanamibiacom It's s pity that people who think like you continue to be tolerated in Africa, let alone allowed to operate any form of business.

Africa does not need Europeans, all you colonial Euro's should pay compensation for the damage you have done to Africans, and stop foisting your opinions and meddling in African affairs.

  • @lanamibiacom don't you know about the German concentration camps in Namibia, during the beginning of the 20th century?

  • very nice music! Please tell me the name of the melody! Thanks

  • what a beautiful city....

  • Lanamibiciacom - See series 1 through 6 of the Genocidie of the Namibian people by the Germans from 1902-1908. Complete with concentration camps on Shark Island, atrocities, and other crimes against humanity. There is nothing positive about this. The people who committed such evil deeds are in Hell.

  • @JohnfromPerth ok mr 'john from perth'.look what you whites did to the aboriginals, you makin em extinct like fuckin dinosaurs.thers two sides to the coin bru, yes you whites did bring us to the level of the modern world with your infrastructure etc. however the suffering my people have gone through cos of you people has been unbearable. we support mugabe cos he aint no puppet. just wait and see, your reign as white people in africa will end soon,i assure you.

  • @JohnfromPerth Africa`s problems stem from white invasion then later whites installing puppet governments to steal Africa`s resources and keep the people`s impoverish.Stop acting like Your people are saviors cause they are not.Alot of Africa`s resources are in whites hands and whites are keeping the profits while the African`s starve.

  • @lanamibiacom I would love for whites to leave the African continent.Whites bought so much problems to Africa then tried to act like saviors of Africans.Europeans used Africa's wealth for themselves only, stop trying to fool us into thinking other wise.

  • @barlog20 yeah, that´s why Zimbawe is so much better now. You are pathetic.

  • @zurriagazo71 Zimbabwe problem is because of the Sanctions white controlled America and Europe put on it.Its hard for Zims economy to improve under those sanctions but the economy did manage to grow last year even with the sanctions whites put on it.

  • @barlog20 Ok. So why are the sanctions in the place in the first place? The Zims economy is so bad that it can only grow. That´s why it grew last year.

  • @zurriagazo71 The Sanctions was put their by the U.S and British cause Mugabe was taking the land back from the whites and whites have stole that land.It was designed to make the economy worse and it did but Mugabe managed to make it grow a little last year.

  • beatifull..I hope one day my dream will come true-come to Africa...

  • Fuck this. Namibia and Angola is one. Namibia should be connected to Angola we have the same people and the same animals and the same tribes and everything is the same. Connec Namibia to Angola now its the best thing to do

  • Comment removed

  • @Henry260988 lol. Like there isnt any ion Namibia. You are more corrupted than us. you even fish in our coast and sell our own fish. read the news moron How Shameless

  • @Orionetsirius yes!!, i agree with you. and some parts, if not all of south africa!!:)

  • What a stunning city!

  • @JohnfromPerth i think its beacause of the good nature of namibian people.whites constitute a minimal percentage in our country. stability comes from the general population not just one specific flippen race. all whites brought us was genocides and apartheid.

  • @MrLuckyluciano91 you do so the same en europe

    WOW LOVE AFRICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • what a beautiful city

  • motherland I miss you so much.....

  • Gosh 3more months and I get to go back!!!!!!!! It's sooo long!!!!! Can't wait!!

  • Can anybody tell me if colonialism in here was less "evil" (sorry for that term, I didn't know what else to write) that in other countries; because the german influence is obvious, and they have like six german fella cities. I know it sounds like a silly question but I was curious.

  • @Eaoleolo it was the most evil here.when you here about the apartheid war,it was here in namibia that south africa apartheid fought against the resistance.whats funny is we had a more brutal history amongst ourselves than the south africans yet we are more racially peaceful than SA

  • @sshapewa Ah, ok man, thank you very much.

  • I was checking Windhoek on Skyscraper and totally fell in love. Some people complained about it being very little african, but in the pictures I saw more african skinned people than in the South Africans photos, for example. I also noticed their last mayor (for 9 years) was a member of SWAPO. It seems like it's the way to go.

  • we and my egyptian crew live here im proud to ,live here home sweet home and egypt too fellas yeah

  • we and my egyptian crew live here im proud to ,live here home sweet home and egypt too fellas yeah

  • a highly nice developwed world that where me and my crew live thanks very nice and clean i =im proud to ,live here home sweet home and egypt too

  • @vpelago82 its not merua mall thats in klein windhoek this is in city center. its vern hill shopping mall.

  • because we dont get fokd up by foreign countries. its hard for tourists to get here and there is nothing much to invest in our country there for we dont have a shit load of other countries rapping the shit out of the country

  • This may seem like a silly question, but why isn't Windhoek and Namibia all screwed up? Everything looks well maintained. The roads look like roads and the traffic looks orderly. I've been to Sudan and Angola and they are considerably less attractive than what I've seen in this video. I've passed through S.A. and I've been told it's very dangerous there. Can anyone explain it to me. Please only constructive explanations. Thankyou.

  • @pburkeame because our cultures adore order unlike other african shitholes.immigrants from other african shitholes are coming here destroying our clean enviroment with their drugs and stinking ways of lives

  • oh my... beautiful counrty i was born there!!! :) i mizz it :(

  • if any one is looking for a good pub or club the best pub is joes beer house in eros and the best club is LA DE DAZ in southern industrial near merua mall. peace. enjoy the beautiful country.

  • @alanccoop lol yea i know my name is dumb i used to be a mojor metal fan when i was like 12 :P. yea man depends who u talk to. best thing to do in windhoek is to not let people know ur a tourist play it cool, plan a head ull be good. when i first moved to namibia 4 years ago i learnt the area really quickly just hanging out with friends so try and make some friends while ur over here.

  • the mall is called vern hill

  • Thanks - your name may be stupid but you are not. I learned very quickly never to ask directions in Namibia as you are always told the wrong way. The locals seem to get a kick out of doing that.

  • videos makes thing more beatiful, new york seems the perfect city

  • Namibia is a beautiful country, Windhoek is a city that has many beautiful sites and sculptures.

  • @meracandelljorge Namibia should be connected to Angola we have the same tribes a big part of Namibias tribes can also be found in Angola Namibia is artificial its a desert Namibia and Angola are one and should be one

  • @Orionetsirius You can make the same claim about dozens of countries. SHould they also be united? What would Namibia gain by being connected to Angola? Nothing, likely. SO why try to ruin one of the very few succesful countires in Africa by adding on a giant liability to it?

  • @NozBoyHux You dont understand. Namibia got its name from Namibe which is a desert that belongs to Angola dont you understand? And the ppl living in Namibia, the owners of this pile of shit, they live in abundance in the south of Namibe (Angola). Before colonists came we were United. Namibia is 2,000,000ppl. These ppl are dying. And our land is still separated. Our desert, Our ppl

  • @NozBoyHux you make no sense. TIA. This Is Africa. These limites were and are made up by the colonists. . Its a shame..We need to save this ppl and save our desert. Angola and Namibia is like North Korea and South Korea. I suppose you are white. And you are not helping. You whites treat Africa like a country. This proves how ignorant some are..Well I think it should be combined back Im going to claim our desert man..TIA

  • @Orionetsirius Thanks for the explanation of geography regarding the connection between Angola and Namibia. I did not know those 2 countries were so similar as you say they are like N and S Korea.

Don't play the race issue. My opinions have nothing to do with race. All I was saying is that Namibia, especially Windhoek, looks like Eden where as Angola looks horrible. If they 2 countries are the same people, then YES, they should be reunited much like E and W Germany to help both excel.

  • Does anyone know the name of the mall in the videos I posted of Windhoek? I think it runs off Independence Ave, it is very much "up-market" and has escalators and so on.

  • its called Marua Mall.

  • How many whites are in Namibia are there too many as 1 of ten of less???

  • 120000 whites!!!

  • if i was going to africa id choose this country it rocks

  • i am namibian i live in windhoek i love my country will never leave here

  • I dont know WHY but in South Africa and in Namibia the most color used in cars is white.. does anybody know why?

  • to reflect the sunlight

if you had a dark colour for a car it would would heat up really fast

  • yes u will end up well done if u drive to swakop hhahaha gekook

  • yeah i am living in namibia and when traveling u see the white cars the best on the road

  • cars are white in order to reflect the extremelly powerful sunshine

  • i lived there when i was 3. it was the most beautiful place ive ever lived. i miss it so much. who ever lives there should feel lucky to

  • the horse rider at 2:00 was removed last week. they moved it to the alte feste an old fort. they are constructing a war memorial at that site.

  • É uma cidade muito bonita.

    From Brazil

  • I'm going next summer! :)

to the Namib desert and fish river canyon.

  • wow man!! its clean & tidy city!! gd vid

  • I HAVE POSTED QUITE A FEW PHOTOS/CLIPS OF NAMIBIA ON WEBSHOTS. YOU CAN VIEW THEM IF YOU DO A SEARCH ON "coopec100"

  • "Colonialism is not always a bad thing for a people..." How do you think Ferdinand and Isabella would respond to such a statement? That was 700 years in which Spanish was enriched -- mathematics, philosophy, architecture, art, poetry, systems of justice, public education, dance, you name it! Nevertheless, the good queen Isabella in 1492 asked the invaders to pack their bags and go home. People are funny that way!

  • I am ethiopian and i would loe to go to Namibia one day. One Africa!

  • Is Botswana like Namibia?

  • Namibia..one of the most unique countries in the world. I'm a born Namibian now living in London...how I miss the beauty and peace. One only realise the what you had when you don't have it any more or as in my case, far away. Thank you very much for the lovely shots of my beautiful city. God bless

  • what do u mean u don't have it anymore?....hey you chose to move to london....for me i prefer to be a king in the jungle than a dog in the city.....i hate being a second class immigrant not even citizen....even if u are a citizen, in ur mind u know u r african!...namibia is crazy beautiful just like south africa.

  • very nice sentences, thank you :)

  • God bless you for posting this video,to show others, specialy this white eauropeans, for their ingorance.currently im study in europe, and people here really innoys alot, coz they see alot of African countries suffering or at war and they think its everywhere. All they ask is:how is life there,we heard its poor there.its really annoying

  • 10-20 years ago most of Africa was very poor & many people think most of Africa is still poor. Now South Africa, Namibia and Botswana are somewhat prosperous because of lower corruption and plentiful resources. There are a few other countries in Africa that have vast resources like oil, diamonds etc. but their governments are corrupt and the money doesn't go towards development where as some other African countries are spending donations intended for poor people on weapons to fight wars.

  • Yeah u right about corruption, thats why i dont support any African leader.they are all old and corrupt,we need young and educated leaders in Africa.on the other side about spending donations on war,i will say,its white people who are even behind the war in Africa.Africa doesnt produce weapons, its white people who sells weapons to African countries, while they know what they will use it for.

  • Jugglermaxx search Namibia on wikipedia. I doubt you're educated.

  • Is namibia a rich country? africa is very poor!!! but this country means rich I'm spanish from seville and I like the geografy

  • noo, it is a developing country, there are few german people living here of whom, some are rich, but overall namibia is a very poor country, it does bring in quite a bit of money through tourism though.

  • Africa is a continent made up of 54 countries...just because one or two countries are at war or suffering from poverty doesnt mean it's like that everywhere..there are other developing countries in africa.

  • whtas the racial situation in namibia like ? is it as bad as SA?

  • Namibia is a relatively peaceful country, i think.

  • who told u that there's recial tension in sa?

  • my home girl is from nambia...i didnt knw it was that beautiful

  • Man now this is it. Thank you for the correct rep that you are giving Namibia. Unlike ignorant JourneytoSouthAfrica who is posting bad vidoes. Thank you

  • Blaqpearla. You didn't say how good my clips of Namibia were

  • LONG LIVE THE LAND OF THE BRAVE!!! Happy Independence Day to all Namibians worldwide!x

  • Yes, Windhoek is a lovely city and well worth visiting. The animals of Namibia are fantastic - baboons grazing beside the road within (say) 15 klms of the city. The huge Etosha National park (in northern Namibia) is world famous for it's beautiful animals and luxurious lodges. You might like to look at my clips of Namibia

  • Looks like a beautful city. I'd like to visit one day!!!
