  • NUT! I just moved to Boise for college (GO BRONCOS) Can you tell me exactly where you filmed this? GPS coords would be nice! Thanks bud!

  • @HuntHawaii808 We would all like to know but we arent going to find out, he likes to keep it to himself.

  • God I hate the sound of that timer!!!!! Every time I hear that same tone beeping rapidly I always think of my alarm waking me up for school! Oh how I hate that alarm!

  • All you talking about .22s not being loud and causing hearing loss, I shot for many a year always using mouse ears and or plugs. for 17 years I worked in a kitchen with my head under exhaust hoods that were loud, but not gunfire loud. My ears are toast! ear buds on your iPod, ear killers. I see so many people running around today that by the time they are old will be stone deaf. lots of moderate loud will cause just as much harm as big noise.

  • @markahart45 yea i hear that lol no pun intended. i worked in a kitchen for a few years myself. my ears could be better

  • Love the sound of .22's going off....love it even more now that I have my own 10/22!

  • @jhawley1995 Youre a dumbass. Are you really actually bragging about hearing loss? "I lost my hearing shooting glocks, ar-15s and ak-47s." I wouldnt care if you lost it shooting the Golden Gun, I would still say your a dipshit for A. Not plugging your ears when shooting, and B. Bragging about losing most of one of your five senses. When did you lose your reason? Idiot.

  • hey what vest is that???

  • Hey nutnfancy,

Me and my buddy headed out on the weekend and set up our first Run 'N Gun and had a blast with the 10/22. We set up so that we run to the first stage at 30 yards take two shots, run to the second stage at 20 yards, take a knee and take two shots, then run to the last stage at 10 yards and take two shots. Each miss on the 4" target counted added 5 seconds to your time. It was fun to see our accuracy and time improve throughout the day. Thanks for the great idea!

  • hey Veri I already have 40 percent hearing loss and its not from shooting 22s it from shooting ar-15s ak47s and glocks

  • @jhawley1995 Actually, you think its just the large calibers, its the 22s too.

  • @jhawley1995 Not good. Nutn has been around firearms and planes his whole life and has great hearing..but he protects it. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Hey Nutn, it is great to see how much weight you have lost since this video and how much more healthy you look in today's "Trench Warfare" series. Keep it up!

  • @101goodenergy101 I was just thinking that the other day when i was watching some of his first vids. Good job Nutn!

  • ear protection with a .22 WOW what a joke

  • @jhawley1995 Not a joke at all. Do some reading about hearing loss and firearms, even .22's. Or, wait til your older and your hearing is fried..then check into it. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @jhawley1995 You go there tough guy... in 20 years see if you can figure out what that constant ringing sound you hear 24/7 365.

You know what that sound is? It not really the sound of damaged hearing, it's the sound of dumb shit you did when you were younger.

  • this pisses me off! every couple shots mine jams, its extemly frustrating, no matter how much i oil it or clean it!

  • @CHOSENMARINE what kinda mag you got for your 10/22 if its a shooters ridge you have to sand a tiny bit off the back to angle it off.

  • @CHOSENMARINE then look into getting a whole new action. the 1022 is the longest lasing out there

  • i was wondering why do your vids come up in my susbsriptions as new when there 2 years ild lol i just noticed that

  • 00:22 micky mouse ears lol

  • @benpie12 Kung Fu Panda -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy oh sorry fo using the wrong literary term lol

  • @nutnfancy AHAHAHAAHA very true

  • Hell yeah-Go Broncos!

  • @check1check2 Yep those donkeys from denver better win this year.

  • Hey Nutnfancy... I'm currently training with my new 10/22 inspired by a few of your videos, and was wondering if you could suggest a red dot sight that is inexpensive but accurate. I don't plan on dropping it or banging it a whole lot, so durability of an aimpoint isn't important to me. I don't have a whole lot of funds, so I would like the opinion of someone who has already tried it.

  • haha at 7:44 sorry if im yelling....NICE!!!!!

  • my first gun that i shot was a rugar 22 short. i got a 5x5 in target at 90 yds. i was told it was good.

  • I got a 10 22 carbine because of these videos, i traded my pump action shotgun for it. I went to the range and was not happy with my accuracy with open sights, i have bad eye sight, i ordered a millet red dot sight, hopefully it will help me have more holes in the paper and much more fun, thanks for the vids

  • @robertdihno dude ordering a new sight isnt going to improve ur eyesight

  • nutnfancy where exactly is your desert shooting range in idaho i live in the boise area and i want a good wide open spot to go shooting

  • great vids man. ive got a 10/22 of my own and i like how you guys are putting it into action

  • bro, is that a knife on your back?

  • haha thats just their style. they're ok guys, they're just... well... bikers! lol.

  • I really like how Nutn tells it how it is.Great video.

  • Love this concept. I'm going to have to get some of my co-workers together and give it a try.

Thanks for doing the clean up. Too irresponsible people here in Idaho trash the desert when they go shoot.

  • Yeah man we went shooting @ the unofficial blacks creek range (off kuna rd) and it is littered!

  • I won't even go out that way any more to shoot. I once hauled off an easy chair somebody had dumped out there and shot to doll rags. Just too much of a mess.

These days I shoot out at the public range south of Nampa/Caldwell, down by Pickles Butte. It's a decent range and fairly close to me.

  • cool little idea.

thanks for cleaning up man. serious.

it almost seems with shooters the less experience they have the more shit they leave behind and bull they talk!

    good video champs!

    -brian

  • im so happy im going hunting next weekend for the first time with my uncle in pennsylvania for deer its gonna be fun experience

  • I wish you good luck. my season starts in about another 3 weeks or so

  • why do people hate on airsoft?

thats like a gsxr600 rider hating on a moped, how low of a self asteem do you have to have before you hate others, if its a 14 year old "plinker" with an attitude pretending to be a know it all thats justified, but in england wer enot allowed gun so i do airsoft and love TNP till i can move over there and get a 10/22 and become a ccw sheepdog, im a good hearted person and i feel sorry for anyone who doesnt understand that shooters are shooters, bikers are bikers.

  • A Canadian group has recently presented the gov. with a new registration reform on firearms, and it seems to be widely accepted. The gov. alone has given way to certain registry of firearms this year, and hopefully it will only progress. I hope that one day I can shoot a pistol on a farm, as opposed to only shooting in range.

  • What bill is that?

  • that dood gots a jacket on in the desert? lol

  • Desert does not always mean "hot". When it gets cold, it gets really cold.

  • lol i know tat but it wouldnt of been jacket cold in november

  • Dude, I was out in the southern desert last November for 3 days, and it was jacket weather. Also, the desert he is in is up in Idaho, I was in Socal. It gets as cold as it does hot, because of the absence of moisture in the air, which tends to moderate temps.

  • december gets colder then november i was in washington dc desert for 14 days, and it was barley foggy breathe weather

  • @chickenz666 we have deserts in canada even in qubec.

  • tasco world class 4 to 16 power awsome scope!! for 10/22

  • you should drop off a trashcan there maybe people might use it...looks like and awesome place though no one for miles

  • You no how your mom said never run with a knife its ok with 10\22 jk lol Nice vid.

  • Looks like FUN! Run n' gun is necessary training for the aspiring "Rifleman". Push it hard!

  • what scope would you recomend for ruger 10/22?

  • you are cool nutn keep up videos

  • very good video, did you like hunting?

  • cool bro's, bro

  • STFU you stupid airsofting poser piece of crap.

  • Hey nutn what knife is that on your back?

  • yeah I was wondering that too.

  • Looks like maybe a cold steel!

    Recon scout?

  • Thanks I guess, lol I just looked at your name.

  • LOL I dont know for sure!

  • I knows!

  • looks to me Iike they were doing it right.

  • I didn't mean them, I meant just some stupid Americans. After all, alot of crimes in the US are related to the gun laws.

  • I think I know what your talking about.

  • what was Mr.Andythoms saying??plz answer

  • what?

  • Very insulting, derogatory comments.

  • yeah, and a lot of crimes in the US are NOT committed by Americans.

  • Of coarse a lot of crimes are not comitted by americans. But most are. Its simple fact. Most of the people in America are Americans, so the majority of crimes are commited by Americans. It's simple demographics. It's the same everywhere.

  • The only bitch I have this. Don't leave those ramline hi-cap mags loaded untill right when your about to use them the springs wear out fairly quick and the gun will jam. Thankfully they are fairly cheap. For whatever reason I have had better luck with the 25 round single stack than the 30 round double stack. I wish they made some hi cap with the cylindrical design that the original ruger 10 round mags have seeing as they have never ever failed me. If they do and im stupid someone show me where!

  • 10/22 is my favorite gun that I own. Cheap ammo and modifications huge array of modifications accurate durable. I just fixed up some loophole scope mounts so I can use both the scope and the iron sights. I love this gun! you can shoot all day for about 5 bucks cant beat that!

  • Being able to use a .22 like nutnfancy can provide you with a lethal close range weapon. .22s are made for highest probability of headshots.

  • Looks fun!!!

  • are you a cop?

  • From what Nutnfancy has said, yeah, he works in law enforcement.

  • is that a Boise State "smurf turf" hat on your bro?

  • nice shooting. How old is Last Suspect, just wondering

  • hey what was with the limp wristed running at 5:13? LOL just poking at ya.

  • haha i noticed that too

  • 10/22 is great gun real fun

  • gotta love the 10/22. Classic.

  • nevermind it was just a google ad. lol

  • Hey portland oregon thats where im from! lol

  • Sorry guys. I spoke before the video was done. Good job. Don't give the anti gun nuts a reason to cry.....

  • Good video dude. I was just wondering, do you or anyone else ever police the brass off the ground at that site ? I just noticed that there is a lot of brass all around on the ground. Remember, Be responsable.... Take care.

  • Looks fun, I like ruger 10/22

I think I will try that out some day =)

  • More like a shoot and scoot lol

    Or scoot and shoot

  • need more 10/22 videos!

  • yeah 10/22s are the bestest

  • dude can you plx do a reivew of your ruger 10/22 i wouldreally love that

  • Hes outta breathe lol

  • FWIW, If I run a dual firing line it's always at 90 deg. but that's usually with half a dozen shooters. For a 2 man comp. like this more like 45 deg. seems safe. Don't know if I'd run the tgts. this close :^0

  • lol i had no idea 22's were so quiet

  • ha ha, Bro One has way too much donkey state gear.... Any ways, glad to see Nutnfancy is a fellow Idahoan.

  • Excellent!!

I'm getting tired of shooter thinking the only way to shoot is off the bench or off of a bipod.

  • Anyone know how to put those anotations up that he has, they are different then most, the one that says Reason he said wait: etc

  • Wow that looks fun. The course looks like great practice. I think it is important to practice shooting with your heart rate up. In a combat situation your heart rate is going to be higher than normal.

  • do you know a good .22 scope that is cheap but is good for target practice

  • i will buy your brothers thirty old ruger 10/22 if for sale.

  • holy shit for reel

  • If you absolutely had to choose;

-9mm Pistol with 15 round capacity mag

    or

-.22 Rifle with a scope and 30 round capacity mag

Which would you choose for fighting, lets say, drugged up bandits/bikers armed with concealed weapons like knives, pistols and sawed off shotguns. Not a too far fetched scenario.

I'd personally take the rifle since as a Brit I have zero experience with pistols.

  • In the video it appears that you are running downrange of your "bro". I agree that this is an awesome way to train. If I am mistaken I apologize, but if you are going heads up with someone don't run in front of them.

  • i tyook a r700 and hit a target 130 yrds away and im only 13

  • I took a Remington 700 and put a 3 round group the size of your head, on a target at 301 meters.

  • Gr, i'm trying to find a SHTF gun, I'm not sure if i should get an SKS or a 10/22. Only thing stopping me from getting a SKS is the cost of ammo, i won't be able to stock up on a lot of it. With a 10/22 i'll have tons of ammo, and it will be plentiful.

  • You'd be better off with a compound bow than a 10/22 as a SHTF weapon. Any ammo capable of stopping a human is expensive now, you pretty much have to get used to it. I would recommend saving up for an AR-15, because of the multitude of parts and accessories for it. 5.56 will probably be available even with an AWB, and if it's not, you can buy AR uppers in nearly every major caliber.

  • I disagree. While a 10/22 is not ideal, a couple of rounds to the head or chest will definitely ruin one's day. Don't be a caliber nazi....anything you can shoot and shoot well will serve you well. YOU are the weapon system. The gun is just a tool. Obviously, larger cartridges will do more damage, but don't let that stop you from getting and shooting what you can afford. Develop the Warrior mentality and any weapon will be deadly.

  • btw, the comment below was in response to Otacon237's comment about the ineffectiveness of a 10/22.

  • You can talk about the "warrior mentality" all you want, but I (and most likely you as well) haven't seen any real combat, and that .22 isn't going to do much against someone wearing armor plates and a kevlar helmet.

  • If your foe is wearing kevlar plating & helmet, you have bigger issues to worry about than your caliber.

  • It's more likely than you might think. The 2nd Amendment was specifically designed to protect against government oppression first and foremost. Hunting and home defense are just partial benefits.

  • Oh trust me, I agree. But I don't believe that Marine & Army infantry would go against their own neighborhoods. Think about it, most of those guys would be fighting their own people if it came to that. If anything, the makeup of the military gives me hope that the military itself is a safeguard against government tyranny.

  • I hope so. But we've seen from the weapon confiscations during Katrina that the police can be mindless drones following orders without thinking for themselves, too. Afterward they said "never again", but I'm not convinced yet.

  • I plan on becoming a cop myself, before or after the Marines. I've come to the conclusion that this is the best way to defend MY 2nd amendment rights, as well as being my ideal occupation.

The thing that bothered me about Katrina was that in an emergency, they disarmed the weakest individuals, and the police whose job it was to DEFEND the weak left town when trouble showed. Preparedness is our only defense. I'm extremely wary that our right to self-defense will survive this administration.

  • I definitely hope it will, though I realize that it will be under attack. I think if civilian life turns bad, I'd want to be a contractor, but at this point it's unlikely for me. Semper Fi, dude!

  • It will probably be NATO forces, not US forces. Our guys are out subduing other populations. It's easier to shoot someone when they don't look or talk like you and your family.

  • Of course, but I'm worried more about our current government oppressing us. I doubt NATO would attack an ally without good reason.

  • NATO is the New World Orders police force. Our government would use NATO to do the dirty work.

  • Yeah, but I'm counting in the EU crashing and tying them up before our economy crashes. They is already tension between the Euros, I think they don't need much more to set them off.

  • Hmm, it will be interesting to see how everything goes down. Either way, no one is taking my gun from me, i don't care what kind of accent they have haha

  • Damn straight!

  • Yeah, too bad .22lr is pretty much limited in range, so it's not going to be especially easy to get headshots on moving targets, especially if they are shooting back at you with bigger, faster bullets. Yes, you CAN kill someone with a .22, but you can also kill someone with a pencil. A .22 as a shtf gun? I think not.

  • I don't disagree, but a compound bow over a 10/22? I would much rather have the Ruger. And, Im not Rifleman (yet), but I hit headshots consistently with my 10/22 at about 75 yds with a scope and no other modifications, so I think they're pretty accurate. Of course against an assault by the Marines, forget it. But if theres trouble in the neighborhood, your 10/22 and 10000 rounds of .22 are gonna keep looters and troublemakers thinking twice about stopping by for a visit.

  • I'd rather have an AK or AR and 2000 rounds. But don't underestimate the compound bow, some of them can exceed 600 meters in range, and that quad tipped razor blade is going to do a LOT more damage than almost any bullet, and once it's in, you can't pull it out without debilitating pain. It'll probably go through light vests too, in the middle ages archers could pierce knights' armor from a kilometer away. Sure it's not as menacing as a gun, but it'll finish the job.

  • Dude, you just won the internets for real. Great post.

  • This vid and armed serenity make me want to get Conversion kits for my ar and Berreta 96. That way I can practice weapon familiarity and transitions with SHTF guns. I could also pack them for hunting purposes should the need arise in that awful scenario.

  • no kick i love it

  • Nice vid.

Only thing is that you said no issues with gun safety, except that you have one gun that isn't facing downrange...and it has a mag in it. :/

    Nice vid though :)

  • great video guys wish i could join you

  • Great Video great idea to make shooting fun for a group

  • Great!

  • my dad has one from 1964, it went through a fire, he got a new stock and it still shoots great.

  • I enjoy all of your informative vids. Thanks. I'll have to try something like this. I was pleasamntly surprise when you guys start picking up trash. That's something my dad tought me. Leave it cleaner than when you get there. People who leave oll that junk and shoot up signs and even equipment get areas closed to the rest of us. So thanks from me in Oregon.

  • what type of mag are using for your ruger 10/22

  • which of the two magazines do you prefer?

i also like the knife on the back of your vest,

  • That looks like a pretty good course of fire. One bit of advice I would suggest, is that you cut that time down even more, and yell at them alot when they are shooting in order to increase stress. I also think that at the 7 yd line, kneeling is kinda a bad idea, as it greatly reduces your mobility. Other than that, it looks badass. I like the use of "Bro" also, lol

  • "word" lol. nutnfancy is gangster.

  • like the vid u should do more tactical shout outs like this.

  • your shadow looks like mickey mouse...

  • Great idea!!! Next time I go to the range I'am so doing this drill!

  • nutnfancy is right this is a great drill we do it in the ARMY all the time. Keep up the good vidios. Hey what are some good forien .22 rifles?

  • CZ makes good bolt guns

  • ya i love mine

  • Nice vid!

  • 'how to shoot a double tap" i am way to tired

  • here here, shooters cleaning up, what a CONCEPT! They are very messy here. I always try to do my best to clean up my area. Remember your targets too, if you're shooting junk you hauled out there, haul it back too! Great little exercise thanks for sharing!

  • I wish I could do this, but at the range I shoot at there is usually some one else there that would make it unsafe shooting, GO North MN US of A and all our armed forces.

  • My wife likes the Sanford n Son music in the videos too. Steve in Florida.

  • Ammo is getting expensive - I might look into getting a 10/22. I love nutnfancy's reviews and videos, they give good info and cack me up some times. Steve in Florida.

  • I would like to see the AR version and then perhaps a 9mm handgun version on the same course...

  • I love my ruger 10/22 :]

Keep gunnin , your vids are awesome.

  • Good video should try firing three rounds as fast as you could pull the trigger at each position/station. practicing this way will not only get you used to it but also improve effectiveness all around and muzzle control.always 3's.. good video tho

  • that does seem like its a good way to practice but id rather take 3 well aimed shots than 3 fast ones. cause guess what, in a tactical situation once you hit a guy he will give you time to take another good shot when hes thinking or yelling (holy crap that hurts IM GONNA DIE)

also never shoot more than you have too and its better to practice that way.

but thats more of a tactical viewpoint.

ill leave it up to nutnfancy to correct me on this because he has a better background than i

  • Quick rebuttal,

I was just read a department report yesterday about a deadly shooting by an officer using tactical buck. I'll spare the details but it concluded officers should shoot accurately, and often.

maybe this is mainly for shotguns...but it's my 2¢.

  • Thanks for the comment but I disagree. I've never seen anyone run drills like shoot very rapidly and do well. Semi-rapid aimed is effective fire, rapid spray and pary is not. There are people out there that can shoot very quickly well but it takes LOTS of practice. Therefore genreally shooting very rapidly means means missing very rapidly. Maybe you can make a vid for us to demo your rapid fire philosophy.

  • I would love to show you what im talking about but im not allowed.look up the vid'How to shoot a tap' and you will get what im talking about no "spray and pray" bs just add another shot on the above dt premise and if you can get it to sound like one report and keep them in the 10 ring then you are really accomplishing something.3's tho not 2's

  • great vid

  • Awesome! What fun! HUGE disappointment though..... I WANTED TO SEE THE AR VERSION TOO!!!! Maybe next time? Thanks Nutn! Fun vid to watch.

  • Working on editing and posting that one too...thanks Jeep!

  • COOL VIDEO! I love that little gun. nice shots btw.
