@TrollProfessional1 Nah, I disagree. M&B was a brilliant idea, the combat was great, but there were a lot of issues. Poor graphics (even for 2008), a character levelling system that just plain sucked, tedious and repetitive NPC interactions, far too much grinding for little reward... I'm not saying it was hopeless, I played over a hundred hours according to steam. But it needed a lot of polish.

You realise that game development goes through stages, right? The main development team of a game usually finishes the game itself months before a release. That leaves them with nothing to do as the game is tested etc. Most teams turn towards their next project, ie DLC. Quite often this DLC is finished before the game is actually released. DLC, however, has a much shorter test time and release time (no need to talk to retailers/production etc.)

So that's what happens.

Like it also have kind of a text adventure thing to it where you send knights on Missions and there's a few text only missions that can lead to fights, units and junk and it is really cool.

@rokema2782 Not really uncommon. All the good publishers tend to reward early adopters with some kind of discount or sweetener. On the other hand, the ratty publishers *coughEAcough* tend to punish them with price gouging or malignant DRM schemes. I'd rather buy from the former kind - wouldn't you?
