The 454 bbc was not introduced until the 1970 modei year as the replacement for the 427 and the sticker on the air cleaner says 396. if its a 454 its not original
u need to get a different tranny or have ur gear ratios ajusted becuase theres way to much excelleration and ur 4 gear needs to wind slower no fast as hell so u can gain more speed

It's not a "concours " car if it's a 454. The only way to tell is the casting number on the block. Sticker can clearly say whatever it wants....
