I love this song. It sounds like a war theme song. Akuma is a splendid fighter. I love using Akuma because he is an all out fighter. He is fast, has a lot of combos, and most of all his deadly finisher takes most of your life away.

I just see no other solution. Both Gouken and Gouki KNOW Ryu has a hidden power. People aren't psychic in most senses. It's obvious both have a sense of apprehension that he carries exactly what they both carried at one point.

Ryu has no memory of his parents, he was raised by Gouken. Sadly, this is such an Obi-wan/Darth Vader story that it's kind of pathetic. But that's what it is.

No, Ryu is Gouki's son.

It's pretty obvious to most of those people who follow the story. Ryu, an orphan. An orphan who just happens to be taken care of as a boy by Gouken the brother of Gouki? Gouken who knows well ahead of time that Ryu has a dark power inside him, how... how else?

Gouken is taking care of his nephew. Ryu, son of Gouki. Heir to the Satsui no Hadou.

@strikerk No he's not. That's crap made up by the Alpha Animation writers. There's no evidence that that is the case in the actual story. They both emanate Satsui No Hado because they're both totally focused on the fight and nothing else, but choose different paths for their martial arts.

Seriously though~ did you think Ryu was born from the earth or something? He had a mother~ and she didn't just drop him off somewhere. Someone was Ryu's father. This kid didn't raise himself, lose his parents and then get dropped off to be some old man's pet project. His earliest memory is training under Gouken.

Is it irony then that Gouken is the brother of Gouki? That both Ryu and Gouki have similar potential? Coincidence?

Mysteries tend to have pretty easily seen clues to truth. You're not even really trying. You're taking everything I am even suggesting and saying that they're all just happenstance~ and putting no weight to the story at all. It's one thing not to care about the story and just saying whatever, it's a game~ etc. Yet you're saying that the circumstances that point to Gouki having an inherent interest in Ryu~ and Gouken going out of his way to protect this boy as being coincidence.

There are several differences between Gouken and Gouki's themes -- Gouken has some flute playing and there are more uh... hits... at the beginning of the song.

Gouken's theme also seems more "pleasant" for lack of a better term (all nighter, my brain is soup right now :P).

Akuma became a bit sow in SF4, he was SO fast in all the other parts. he was superior to most characters.

But his teleport and ultra sucks now, you mostly get hit or dodged and btw i HATE kens dragonpunch in SF4 -.-
