He's lost none of the cutting wit that has always made me see him as one of the greatest song writers. Thanks for this, Leon, and keep the songs coming!
Dunno what the moaners below are going on about, they don't seem to understand the way all this actually works....nice one Leon, you cut it to the quick.
@lauraevab I quite sure that Leon gives full credit to Ochs and where ever else credit is due. Ochs himself own credit to Seeger and Guthrie, which (as far as I know) was the ones which started this "talking tradition" with there "Talking Union"
Thanks for this. There's another video with a similar sentiment that you might all enjoy - a lament for our crap electoral system using the power of dodgy rhymes, stupid jokes, sarcasm and a rather nifty hat. Search Youtube for "Alternative Election Message"
Thanks Leon, Paul C from across the pond sent me the link. It's time to turn against the 3 shades of grey we're being offered by the media and vote for a better colour - that's why I'm voting Green!
Ah Leon. You do it every time ; express so creatively & succinctly what needs to be said. I was laughing & crying. The hypocrisy of 'democracy' needs exposing. The point for me is, that if a
so called democracy has to be imposed through brutality lies & deceit then it isn't democratic at all.Thankyou yet again. I remember us at an MU meeting & then listening to some of your brilliant songs all the more powerful for not being preachy but deeply felt
I like it. Very clever. Well done. Good on ya, Leon Rosselson. Despite all, Leon, I'd still prefer Democracy to any other form of government. Greetings to you from Jarrahnut (Colin) in wonderful Western Australia.

Shit Leon ... plagiarise a man dead for 35 years ... even transposing his lyrics !
Clever ... NOT !!!
Please at least give credit to Phil Ochs and his anti-Vietnam war, anti-Imperialism song ...
Saddened that a man who could write "Palaces of Gold" could descend to this token agi-prop confection ... :-(

As ever, Leon, scapel sharp criticism that makes you laugh and cry at the same time.
