There is a town actually called "Tornado"? That's kinda cool. Sorta like Intercourse, Pennsylvania. Or Fucking, Austria (look it up if you don't believe me).
nevermind that you hear working fire you stand on the Q and hit the electronic the quicker additional manppower arrives the better the chance the house is saved
um...not true. You hear working fire you best be more focused on your response. Nevermind making more noise if it isnt needed. I am a firm believer that you should use the siren while responding...but there is a time and place for the amount of noise you actually make. It has nothing to do with what type of incident you are responding to.
In fact I have found that the less noise you make, the calmer the crew is when they arrive on scene...leaving it a safer environment for everyone.
where i live we need as much noise as possible half of the time were responding to any type of call during certain parts of the day we have to stand on the Q, switch the vcon to yelp and have the horn cord to the dog house when were on someones tail for 30 seconds before they even signal to move over and the right lane is clear for a good 200 feet hense my statement
@YorkEngine4 very true bro. we hit a working fire one morning, and when i sat in my seat, i accidentally hit the alarm on the PASS, and it made everything seem chaotic. however, experience had already taught me to stay calm, shut it off, and double check i had everything on correctly.
@moose, only an asshole stands on the Q. I've never understood people like you, it's like you're in it for the noise and show like "LOOK AT ME, I'm Mr. Save you man and I'm COMMIN THROUGH WOOOO WOOOOO". No need for all that. Get there safe, get there fast, and only make as much noise as you need. And quit using the electronic, it's not natural on a Firetruck, stick with the song man. Stay Safe.
yea i understand that un nessary siren use problem... but we have places you need 2 use it ( just like evrey other dept) but you guys are right alot of people like to show off
I wouldn't think its un-needed use of sirens....in this it looks like theres alot of blind coners, drivways & intersections...were there could be oblivious drivers
Very good video. Not a lot of un-needed siren usage either, which can really ruin a video. There are too many videos out there now where its like they are showing off for the camera...very good work!
