it depends where it hits, back, side of arms, armpits, when it gets under the dangler, scoops up to shoulders, high ones that compress the floaters of the chest thing.
it depends where it hits
if your gonna ask questions about goalie shot pain, ask a live goalie, not youtube
youll get a stupid answer everytime, like no cause the wear padding
@MrGagan324 O.o That's so wrong... I have RBK 6K chest protector and sometimes it hurts (One my friend from my old team has over 100 km/h or 65mph slapshot and that can be really painful) but just ignore it
@skittle33man I'm a goalie my self, and I prefer simmons or reebok pads and rebook gloves and chest protector. I think reebok is the best because they doesn't break very easly (sorry if i miss spelled something. Im not that old and I'm from Sweden so...)
See i got Reebok x-pulse goalie combo like... 2 years ago? and my catcher/glove was alaways stiff every1 told me to sit on it, do this, that and the next thing. im getting Reebok 7ks could you give me some advice on how too loosen off your catcher/glove please. thanks.
@ShutOutStar its synethic ice, its like real ice but its not and you can use it in any tempatures. i heard your blades are very hot after you use that with your skates on because of friction i think.
But seriously, the biggest problem almost all goalies have is not watching the puck leave the shooters stick. ALOT of goalies watch the shooters gloves, or just body, and end up squaring up to that rather than the puck just keep your eye on the puck itself, and square up to the puck ang only the puck. And bd confident. That's important.
yo ive been training as a goalie since 8 years of age im not planning going pro... but ive been a descent goalie for atlest 3 years and last season i burned(bad way)
i cant play n.e more my stance is horribel i cant see where the shots are going and i really need help... im struggling badly if any one can gimme some tips to improve my stance and how i can improve my glove sides and five hole i would be greatful...
no i go on artificial ice almost every day it doesn't do anything to your equipment except leave little white flakes everywhere but those come of off easily.
Pain factor also depends on how well you absorb the shot. I have an original Brian's Beast glove and you could pung tthe palm soft and you could feel it but when I play and take 80mph shots that hit the palm I dont feel a thing
does it hurt when u get like shot in the chest?? im a triple A peewee player for meadowvale mowhawks nd our goalie always like takes a shot like its nothing so im wondering if it even hurts
To answer kidpunks333's question i'm a goalie and i would say it depends how hard the shot is and what chest protector you have, See at peewee triple A it's only 9-12/13 year olds. and there shots are poor see i'm in a highschool team and i'm getting about 30-80 mph shots depends sometimes it's 90 but it's rare so for me the shots start to sting at about 70-85 depending on what posistion my body is in so.. really it depends hopefully that helps in peewee the goalie shouldn't get hurt at all..
@kidpunk333 well im a bantam AA and i took a slapshot from 12 feet away in the back but i didnt rlly feel it tht much but when you get hit in like the heart you get the wind knocked out of you with regular shoulder pads. im not a goalie im a left winger.
@kidpunk333 LOL your such a liar, meadowvale is only an A team in the mississauga hockey leauge,( MHL) and there are no other levels for meadowvale, so your lying your in A not AAA
dam ur good u only let up 2 when i first did my first time as an ice goalie cause i play roller hockey i let up 15 maybe 16 it hard and i got a slapshot to the headXD
its called synthetic ice its harder to slide on but kinda gives you more grip.. to make it slip depending on what type of brand of ice it is they spray sylcone over it for esay mobility with sliding ... by the way you should be t pushing and not taking the easy way out and shufling
you should be pushing the way you are most comfortable... t push or shuffle is good regardless... and to be honest... if your legs are powerful enough to shuffle fast and far, you should use that all the time...
just break it in use it as much as u can. U can also get it re laced but idk who would do that amymore. They relace it with a regular skate lace dont try it yourself it wont comeout right
when in your butterfly try keeping yor weight more on the balls of your knees. This will avoid your pad turning over to far keeping it flush on the ground. It should also help with your lateral movement. Very good tho!! :)
ccm pads arent too great i'd go with any itech make which is in your price range for example itech x-wings 7.8 for $600 i had a pair and they are a nice box cut pad with great flexabilty there are also the X factor pads which arent as great but serve the same purpose. i wouldnt get the itech vamps though they are bulky and unpleasant.

ccm pads arent too great i'd go with any itech make which is in your price range for example itech x-wings 7.8 for $600 i had a pair and they are a nice box cut pad with great flexabilty there are also the X factor pads which arent as great but serve the same purpose. i wouldnt get the itech vamps though they are bulky and unpleasant.
