I use both OSes for different tasks, but my primary system is Linux. I'm not a fanatic, it is just comfortable this way.

Windows focuses on compatibility.

Linux focuses on letting you decide how you want to customize the OS to your liking.

@MattMcCool They have their own tasks, I mean, Linux is widely used for servers, Windows is used in 3d modelling and special engineering things as far as I can remember, OSX is known for it's popularity amongst designers AND music industry. So these are really different systems.

But being able to do more things in one OS is nicer than having to switch. If not for some music devices from Line6 that I have, I would use Linux all the time. Wider approach needs wider tools
