I don't know what to say...in your own way you have paid your respects to your father. One has to KNOW you to appreciate your style. I recognized Julie right away, after twenty-eight years, but not Bonnie. You girls are so charismatic, all of you! I'd forgotten he was an avid cyclist. Rest in peace Mr. Aldrich.
This is a reason to be thankful that houses in Florida don't have basements...
Typically intricate and loaded with suspense, and had me nearly wanting to run screaming up the stairs, but in the end, a pretty nice tribute to your Dad. Your genius shines. :-)
PS: Oh yeah: It's not a "PDF" but a "PFD" which stands for "Personal Floatation Device".
Of course I get the abbreviation confused because actually: I generally ride with my smokes in my front pocket, unless I'm with a bunch of damned yankees who are more concerned about them breaking their back fishing me out of a 2-ft-deep river where I've been living (in one form or the other) since pioneer days!!
All I need is to anticipate, lol, and I go kayaking to escape, not to obey stupidity! d: /
I also dig the irony of the stupid helmet. Of course it's also ironic because once you are trained to believe in the safety of seat belts, helmets, not smoking, and wearing "condiments" ... well then I'm just of the opinion that life isn't really worth living anymore!!
I wish Ronald Reagan had to seat belts crammed up his own "backside" but other than that: Well.. He did lift us out of a malaise!!
Oh yeah!! I also hate wearing a PDF when in a kayak!!! d: /
Wow!! This really is great!! Generally I am disrespectful of disrespect of the dead, so my 1st ? was: Is she actually an Aldrich, and the end answered the question!!
My own anniversay of a similar situation is coming and I only wish I sould tell you all of it... but I can't !!
I can only say that I was the last to see my mother living and the first to find her dead on Thanksgiving Day, 2007 (22nov2007).
She lives 77 + almost 8 mos. so her Dad did even better!!
I don't know if it's Bonnie or Julie....but, my goodness, she looks just like a younger version of your mom. Something about chicks with guns, turns me on. Great job by all the ladies (In front AND behind the camera). Deepest respect, in memory of your dad. And, love and respect to you....always, Lisa.
@Jagamp Thank you Jeff! My sisters and I wanted to make a tribute video to my father who had passed away in May. So we tried to come up with an idea, he loved his gun collection and he enjoyed biking, so we incorporated both themes into the video.
@tomken8dy Thanks Tom! The weekend we made this video, we actually did bury my father...(though not the way depicted in the video).....my sister had flown in from California, so she wasn't going to be here long,....anyway, the three of us making the video kinda took the edge off the moment.
@greggfla Thanks Gregg! First time I got both my sisters involved in a video. We wanted to make a tribute video to my father. He loved his gun collection and bicycling, so we used both elements in the story.
@Kie77 Thanks Kieran! First time I got my sister Bonnie involved in making a video, she wanted to do something using my fathers handguns, so this is what we came up with one evening.

For some reason I'm reminded of the song, "Put me ashes in me bike pump when I die." You all did a great job on this video!

@DelisaProductions Such a nice thing to do Lisa. My Dad just passed away on 1st Nov, it has hit me hard, went to the funeral last Monday :-(
I think I will eventually try and do something for him as a tribute too.
On top of that I had a fall and broke my knee cap and have not been able to get around much. Very stressful time!
