I totally remember this show. Nanna asked the audience how many people there were over 18 and only a dozen people raised their hands. When he asked how many people were under 18, it was like the entire audience. It was surreal because each of these kids who didn't know them back in the heyday are just hanging on to every note and word. Braid was so unbelievably good.

ive heard theyre sort of pale in comparison to braid, not sure though...i think im in the same situation as u2rock55 with the emo bands but i sort of prefer being a few years late, the fact that a band still sounds good and relevant 5, 10, 15 or more years after the fact is a good way to be sure theyre really a good band. braid, capn jazz, and sunny day real estate are my favorites for the emo stuff lately

haha I remember when Pete from Fall Out Boy was some kid in the band Extinction going to hardcore shows at the Fireside bowl with huge dreadlocks.

But yeah, these guys, Jets To Brazil, old Promise Ring, being in a hardcore band, my guitarist and I used to take alot of shit for liking this stuff, but, it's just as good now as it was then. If you like these guys, check out some another Central Ill (I hate to say emo) band Park. Their older records are along the same lines as this.
