@hillsidehaven i made a few riffs that i was inspierd from braid and crash of rhinos for my old band but they didnt like them. they wanted "heavy metall" so i just left........and well to tell you the truth things arn looking so good for a music career. i hope some one steps in the game and beats all them wana bee bands!!!..
bob nanna is not a ginger. also, they made a live dvd and re-released it, its called "killing the camera". BUY IT. check out "certain people you know" its all the guys except the second guitarists new band, after hey mercedes.
<- Guys watch ma vid 2 find out how 2 get free MICROSOFT POINTS, xbox live, wii points, ps3 stuff ultimate gaming card for runescape, nx cash, wow expansions, console games and more.
and its not rewards1, prizerebel, lagoons, ITS A NEW SITE!
so yeah if you wanna know watch ma vids 2 find out.
I totally remember this show. Nanna asked the audience how many people there were over 18 and only a dozen people raised their hands. When he asked how many people were under 18, it was like the entire audience. It was surreal because each of these kids who didn't know them back in the heyday are just hanging on to every note and word. Braid was so unbelievably good.
lol, it's not that close. It's a different sound. Anyway, if you want some bands that sounds close try promise ring, cap'n jazz, friction, state route 522.
wow these guys rock...another emo band to listen to(i can't get enough of the sub genre,i've turned into a complete emotional harcore nerd, just looking for all these bands)
ive heard theyre sort of pale in comparison to braid, not sure though...i think im in the same situation as u2rock55 with the emo bands but i sort of prefer being a few years late, the fact that a band still sounds good and relevant 5, 10, 15 or more years after the fact is a good way to be sure theyre really a good band. braid, capn jazz, and sunny day real estate are my favorites for the emo stuff lately
All I can say is you people calling yourselves emo and acting like dousche bags these days, take a look back to what once was...obviously this wasn't the first wave of emo, but this was the last great era, before black hair, eyeliner and douschedom took over. Put that in your Ipod
agreed.i love this band with the bands around the time like the get up kids and sunny day real estate and the old jimmy eat world.all the other emos in my school listen to mcr, panic at the disco, blink 182 and fall out boy and all these other several fake emo bands.
haha I remember when Pete from Fall Out Boy was some kid in the band Extinction going to hardcore shows at the Fireside bowl with huge dreadlocks.
But yeah, these guys, Jets To Brazil, old Promise Ring, being in a hardcore band, my guitarist and I used to take alot of shit for liking this stuff, but, it's just as good now as it was then. If you like these guys, check out some another Central Ill (I hate to say emo) band Park. Their older records are along the same lines as this.
did you EVEN see the documentary that this was RIPPED from? Chris Broach is NOT the reason Braid broke up... and two - don't talk like you know - if you haven't even seen the full video. This is a message from CHRIS BROACH's label... LUCID RECORDS.
#2 - you should actually check out his new music. you might even like it... instead of making uniformed guesses about Braid.

greenday and blink 182 should be thought of as modern punk pop bands, not some genre which they never were.
