As with Karzai teaching him I take that as a joke, because Karzai has spent the majority of his life running a couple of restaurants in America, and doing some work for UNOCAL, an American oil company, which is why his English is not bad.

Dr. spanta has the guts to be the forign minister of afghanistan. there is no one like him who has more political knowlge and as clever as him in afghanistan right now. his language doesn't matter until he is clever and knows hw to run the country accordingly. He has the plans which no other persons has for afghanistan such as economic plans of resources of afghanistan etc. he is a great person.

Our foreign minister speaks quite well and logical.I hope that he think a little more about his English.

He is smart? Look at how he talks. Forget about accent, compare him to any foreign ministers in the world. The way he is sitting on the chair seems like he is begging Frost for something. Abdullah was by far a better speaker, but then again, this job requires a truly charismatic speaker who has great execution power. Unfortunately, neither Abdullah nor Spanta had it/has it/will have it. I feel pity for us Afghans!!!

When I said charismatic speaker, I didn't mean that he should be able to speak 5 languages. Even if he only spoke Dari, it would be fine. He is our voice out of Afghanistan, so he has to be eloquent. His answers should lament how Afghanistan is and what it is doing. Unfortunately, he lacks that quality. We need a better voice. Spanta isn't the righ person. He hasn't done much as a FM. We need a better president and FM if we want to better our relationship with Pakistan and the whole region.
