The tragic ironic part is, Rose kinda sealed Jack's fate this way (unintentionally, ofcourse). If Rose stayed on the boat, Jack could've stayed on top of the door that Rose laid on at the end of the film, and have been saved. Not having to worry about Rose's safety alone would've greatly increased Jack's chances of survival.

But, of course, there was no way for Rose to know any of this.

It's been years since i watched the Titanic. Until i decided to watch this today. When i was younger, watching it for the first time at age 6. I never understood it. Now that im a teenager, i understand the true meaning of Titanic the Movie. It didn't matter what social class Jack and Rose were in, they were IN LOVE. They risked their lives for each other. What person can say they did that for their boyfriend/girlfriend or even spouse? True love is found. This movie is a true inspiration.

Miss Hart recounted that this was what her father said to her as he put her into the lifeboat with his wife/Eva's mother. His was just one of the many (mostly nameless) goodbyes said that night in the sure knowledge, for the men, that it was a last goodbye. Titanic is a good, mostly accurate film.Kudos to Cameron.
