@coolmodine don't see why this is a competition. Both covers are superb, but I actually prefer ECs singing to this although the guitar work here is much more interesting. Eric's singing is much like fine wine lol... it's getting so much better over the years. He does more with timbre of his voice than he does with the melody but still makes it just as emotional.
