Hi Plumb. I thought about that but the legs are steel. I also felt that for the amount of money, I shouldn't have to fix those types of errors. All turned out as they extended the warranty for a few months to compenstate for the unit being out of service. It works really well now and I'm happy with it. Hopefully the factory has fired the disgruntled workers? :)
Can I ask why you didn't just drill holes yourself instead of waiting a month? I would go nuts having to deal with that and just do it myself. Hopefully it all worked out for you. I just put one together today and it went very smooth but the entire lower half came pre-assembled, I just had to install the pedals and arms and legs to the unit. Went pretty smooth.
