  • Hi Alex, I have the 2009 white mac book.... nice to see the ram will work. What about the hard drive though... you mention different thicknesses... will this hard drive fit in the 2009 model? Thanks for the tutorial.

  • 1333 rams dont work on my mac , orıgınals are 1067 ı waıt them very long tıme to come , can ı somehow make them work on my mac ? thanks

  • @tolgig Why do you assume it does not work. Give me the details. Give me the specs of your ram. like brand, latency 7-7-7-11 and voltage. Thank you.

  • @krasav4ik82 kıngston : KVR1333D3S9/4G , 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM ,

    DDR3 1333 ,cas latency :9 , voltage : 1.5 thanks a lot

  • @tolgig YEAH, kINGSTON ..... Everybody else grab a Corsair.I think latency is to high. My latency was cas latency was 7. It is possible that this kinston when reducing speed is not changing the latency to 7 or 8. And latency 9 is unstable for bios.

However describe your problem. Can you boot?Did you tried single stick.Make sure stick is on all the way, this kind of problem I had before, I did not put stick of one memory all the way.Reinsert the memory. Try one stick. What year is your macbook?

  • @tolgig Your memory is crap look like. CAS 9 and apple mobos set for cas 7. So it setting memory for cas 7 and it refuse working. I forget the name Kinston long time ago. They are memory resellers. I go with memory engineers - Corsair!

  • Thanks for the confirmation anyway it is much if I bought here in my country (usd41) and if from newegg i'll have to pay the postage. As of ur knowledge, which is better, Kingston or Mushkin?

  • @jazzdoit I woudl say both good. I would go for Mushkin, cause I had 2 Mushkins ddr memory in my machines 7 years ago. However get Corsair if you can, they are on another level - on my opinion.

  • I'm thinking on upgrading my RAM from 2x1GB to 2x2GB, would it be worth it? I mainly use my laptop for video editing, but do the casual day to day use. Never installed laptop RAM but have installed PC RAM. Just want some quick advice.

I'll only be spending £20 on the RAM, and just to confirm, it *doesn't* void your warranty?

    Thanks.

  • @georgew0304 Well if you will tell apple that you did any modification - it will void the warranty. Just don`t tell them and keep the memory - if you are afraid. They will not be able to tell that you open laptop anyways there is no seal on bolts or inside.

I would go for 8Gb -memory are so cheap in August 2011 and will be cheap at least till October 2011.

  • with the new harddisk we have to install osx on the computer ? thanks

  • @tolgig Thanks for watching. Yes after you installed the harddrive, you will need to install the OSX. Snow Leopard came with the macbook in the box. I will do a tutorial how to do that soon, and also I will show you how the dual boot OSX and Windows 7 look like and what kind of benefits to have Windows 7 with OSX.

Also buy a Lion OSX. It is available on flash drives I heard.

    Thank you.

  • @krasav4ik82 thanks a lot sir , i am gonna buy a one and follow exactly your orders , thanks a lot :)

  • @tolgig Keep in mind that you can buy 1tb of Western Digital Scorpio Blue instead of Black series. The difference is blue scorpio is 1 tb in storage which is double of the Black Series 500gb hard drive. Means you can store more data such as video, music, etc. However Western Digital Scorpio Blue is 5400 RPM vs Western Digital Scorpio Black series 7200 rpm.It means that Scorpio Blue is a little bit slower, but not by a big margin, just a little bit. Use my guide to install Blue 1TB and It will fit.

  • @krasav4ik82 i am gonna used the mac for music production and ıts have only 2 usb ports so 1 tb with 5200 rpm sounds much better thanks for your advise , i am subscribed to your channel :)

  • @tolgig You are welcome. I also saw 8gb of Mushkin pc3-8500 ddr3 1066Mhz laptop memory on neweggdotcom for 49 bucks total. It will work as well as Corsair. Ram DD3 Memory is cheap now, cost they are trying to get rid of the old stocks and switch to a new nano technology ddr3 that will consume less power and be more than 4gb per stick. So crap 2x4Gb of ddr3 laptop pc3-8500 memory now-because it is cheap and a good time.I paid almost doulbe for my 2x4Gb pc8500 laptop ddr3 for my macbook 2010. Thanks.

  • @krasav4ik82 ı ordered my macbook , can i use this or better ram on my macbook sir ? G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Laptop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ

i am also gonna order wd black scorpio 750 gb 7200rpm

  • @tolgig Yes it will work. Also my suggestion go with Western Digital Scorpio Blue 1tb 2.5 hard drive. It is a little bit slower than black but cost cheaper than 750 gb black and have about the same realibility and more storage. However if you care about the speed and stoarage and realibility to its best than get 750 gb Black Series. Blue series a little bit class lower but still better than regular toshiba drive insdie of macbook. Thanks for watching don`t forget to thumbs up.

  • @krasav4ik82 one last thing sir . what about ddr3 1600 or 1866 ones

  • @tolgig DDR3 1066 Mhz or DDR3 1333Mhz I am not sure if the faster memory will work correctly. It could, but I am not guaranteed it. Again ddr3 1066 Mhz laptop memory and ddr3 1333Mhz laptop memory will work. 8 gb =2x4Gb is the maximum 100% working condition. Thanks for watching.

  • @krasav4ik82 Im a bit confuse here... can you please reconfirm whether it is ok to use both "DDR3 1066 PC8500" & "DDR3 1333 PC10600". Actually i would prefer to buy the "DDR3 1066 PC8500" but it is only available for 2GB.

If i can use the "DDR3 1333 PC10600", can you suggest which is better; Kingston or Mushkin? (Corsair is out of stock). Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you & have a nice day.

  • @jazzdoit Both 1066mhz pc3 8500 and ddr3 1333 Mhz pc3 10600 will be just fine. By the way 49.99 8gb of ram from Corsair right now on Newegg. Grab it. On newegg it is titled apple memory Corsair 1066 8 gb = 2x4gb sticks.

    Good luck.

  • @krasav4ik82 I tried 1333hz. it dint work

  • @chowdary434 Can you tell me the latency on your ddr3 1333mhz . It is like CAS and than number.

  • @krasav4ik82 I installed 1066 MHZ it works, but when I am using windows 7 32 bit usable RAM is 2.74 Ghz of 8GB. Can we put 64 bit on this macbook.

  • @chowdary434 Yes, I am using my macbook with Apple OS and Windows 64 bit Ultimate edition. Works like champ for a 1 year and a half. The reason why your memory is not higher than 3 gb is because windows 32 bit os has limitation up to 3 gb of memory maximum. Windows 64 bit os has limitation up to 64 gb of maximum.

    Thank you for watching.

  • @krasav4ik82 Yes, I am using Windows 64 bit as my second boot and it works like a champ. Windows 32 bit operating system can not see more than 3 gb of ram. Windows 64 bit has limitation to 128 Gb. So yes Windows 7 64 bit will see and use all your memory.

  • @chowdary434 It probably does not work cause you get a crappy high latency memory. and when it switch to 1066 by bios it is high latency and motherboard does not work to start. However, it is very strange case. Did you check you ram to make sure you put them tight inside? First time when I insterted the ram I got the same story. But than I make sure my memory tight in the sockets. Did you try that?

  • @chowdary434 Also try stick by stick. Maybe one stick is damaged. Do not use two. try one and than another stick. Sometimes it happens when one memory is defective. Let us know. However DDR3 by Corsair 1066 Mhz cas 7 will work perfectly. That what I used in two macs.

  • I upgrade my late 2009 macbook 13.3 white 2gb ram to the (Memory -"CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model CM3X8GSDKIT1066 G") and i doubted it at first but i installed the 8gb's of ram that was thought to be not supported by the late 2009 white macbook 13.3 and i took the risk and it worked great.

thank you for the help and support krasav4ik82

if anybody has any questions please ask me and ill be glad to answer what i did to make my mac fly!

  • @HintzeDesignHD You are welcome HintzeDesign HD. I will post your screenshots as a proof that you can also use this method for Macbook white 2009 like you just did.

    Thank you.

  • Hey again. I have a question. I've been researching and I read that the Late 2009 Macbook can be updated to 8GB. Can you confirm this for me? And also what is the worst thing that could happen if I update it and it's too much? THANKS!

  • @monkey15iv Hey, HintzeDesignHD just sent me a message that he upgraded his white macbook 2009 to 8gb. So i guess it will work for Macbook white 2009 with Nvidia Geforce 9400m. However it will work for sure with White Macbook with Nvidia Geforce 320m graphics.

  • Thanks mate.

  • I checked my MacBook white system profiler and it stated my graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce 320M. Though out explanation, it need to have NVIDIA GeForce 320GT. So doest it work for me to use 8GB RAM? tq

  • @jazzdoit It will work! This upgrade will work on any Macbook 2010 white made in late 2010 series that has 320m. All the macbook white that has 320m is made in 2010. This upgrade will work for them.

    Thank you for watching.

  • I hope you can reply to this comment. I'm a high school student on a budget and I want to upgrade my macbook I got a years ago. It's sort of laggy and I want more ram and storage memory. In the apple store you can buy 4Gb memory for $200 but your memory for 8Gb was only about $60? It sounds too good to be true. Will it affect the performance of my laptop? If you could please message me. Thank you so much, I will be trying this tutorial as soon as I can get all the information and stuff I need.

  • @monkey15iv If your laptop is macbook 2010 that was release in late 2010 or newer models that you would be fine. Performance is good when you need that ram. Good in photoshop, 3ds max studio and multi - multi tasking. 1-2 fps in games. I am using this laptop mostly for Windows 7 64 bit and using 6gb of my load work flow.

Keep in mind that this concept and upgrades are not going to work on macbook 2009 and early version!

    Thanks for watching.

  • @krasav4ik82 No thank you for the quick reply. I'm definitely going to try this but one more question just to be sure. I check on amazon the CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model CM3X8GSDKIT1066 G memory and it DOESN'T matter that it says it's for Macbook Pro, right? Thanks so much dude.

  • @monkey15iv Yes,it does not matter if it says macbook pro or not. Apple macbook 2010 and macbook 2010 pro are regular pc laptop that are using regular ram dd3.So it will be just fine. This memor yshould be 60 bucks-grab it. Memory has lifetime warranty and I am used tones of Corsair memory through out of my hardware enthusiast 12 years experience.

Keep in mind you need to make sure that your apple is 2010 model.Keep in mind that it will not work with older 2009 models or older.

  • @krasav4ik82 Thank you so much again!

  • @monkey15iv You are welcome.

  • @krasav4ik82 I'm sorry, but I just asked my dad and he said that we bough my mac in 2009 not 2010. So I guess this isn't going to work. Do you what ram that is trustworthy can I use for my laptop? This would help so much.

  • @monkey15iv Macbook white 2010 model can go easy up to 8gb. Even if apple does not put that because otherwise they will compete with their expensive macbook pro. For macbook white 2009 you can go only for 4Gb. Go and buy corsair but 4gb and make sure it is 2x 2 gb sticks otherwise your memory channel in Macbook 2009 will not be able handle 1x 4Gb in one memory slot - thats why macbook 2009 does not support 8gb.

  • @krasav4ik82 that sucks, seems like I should have waited a few more month to get my macbook (I got it December for Christmas) Alright I'm going to search for corsair 2x 2 gb sticks. Thanks again for all the help.

  • DUDE! YOU COULE HavE MADE THIS VIDEO 5 MINUTES NOT 15!

  • @Technoreviews411 No, see the problem is you have no watchers on your youtube channel. Means all your ideas are failure. I did not failed, cause I have over 10k watchers. So try to use the logic and conclude.

  • Hey thanks for the review… I have a question I have the same MacBook I buy it starting the 2011... I buy a 500gb hard drive SATA toshiba... Here is the problem I don't have the MacBook in Mexico I live it in USA I want to know if it fits... The person that sale me the hard drive tell me that it will fit it but I want to know your opinion thanks

  • @05Narco Make sure that the thickness of your drive is less then 12.5mm. 1 tb hard drives 2.5 with thickness of 12.5mm is to thick and you would not be able to close your case. So as again, thickness should be less then 12.5mm for sure. Just because I dont know what kind of hard drive you have, so there is nothing I can tell you about it. Why dont you want to go with a server low power driver Western Digital Black Serious? It has drop protection 2.0 as well as use same energy as 5400 rpm drives.

  • @05Narco Your harddrive maximum thickness should be 9.5mm thick. If it is 12.5mm - it will not be able to close. Thanks for watching.

  • What type of Camera are you using? It has amazing quality video.

  • @secretagenthacker He he thank you. I used Samsung SC-HMX20c. It is 2 years old with a huge lens It cost me 500 bucks open box - I bought it because the huge lens. Original price was 800 bucks. They don`t make those anymore. Also I think there is 1/2 6 megapixel sensor on it for video and 8 megapixels for taking photos.

  • can you please explain to me what an anti-static environment is?

  • @EB0100010010 Well, I did not use it before I installed the hard drive. So I have no answers. SHould be the same, cause this hard drive is has a low power economy that is equal to 320 gb - at least that what Western Digital says.

  • Really useful video. Thank you.

Did you put 8go RAM on your macbook?

Because I've got the same. Macbook white unibody (bought in september 2010)

Your laptop can support 8go? because i see only 4go maximum on macbook white unibody. Can you tell me more? Thanks

  • @laostyle01 Macbook White 2010 can support 8Gb ram clearly. Apple does not want you to know that and denied that. Yes, get yourself corsair for 70 bucks from newegg - same memory as I did. Laptop fully supports memory in mac and in windows 7. More videos to come. Thanks for watching.

  • @krasav4ik82

    Thanks for your reply.

So 1st I wanna get a new hard drive. I've got one with 250 go and I'd like to get a 500 go (Enough for me I think). I'm a bit septic about adding 8gb ram. I just tell myself that other components in my mac can not support it.

  • @laostyle01 You are a marketing eater. I been in IT and Hardware enthusiast for 10 years. If you dont want to add 8gb it is up to you. I am fine with it. Check my perfect memory registration screenshot in video details. It is perfectly in MAC OSX and in WIndows 7 64 bit running on that Mac. Get yourself a Western Digital Black Scorpio I saw them for 69 bucks. It is a server hard drive and it is tested by me in my harddrive. It eats eats like 5400 rpm but its 7200 rpm and has drop protection.

  • Great video.

What kind of camera are you using? It is really good quality!

  • @Laxbro37 I used Samsung SC-HMX20c. Thanks for watching.

  • тише тише - понесло. На видео не показан результат. хотелось бы видеть принт скрин c определившемся железом. (не в одном ролике этого не видел, где втыкали в белый юнибади 8 гб.

  • @ibiocopy Ya sdelau video kak ystanovit Windows 7, tam i yvidite. No ya dymau tolko idiot sdelal bi video esli zhelezo ne zaregistrirovalos. Look like sredi vas est takie.

  • @ibiocopy A ya dal 100% otvet. Dlia chego eto video? Dlia chego vi ego smotrite? Nachnem s etogo. Kak vas zovyt, skolko let, zachem vi zhivete? Potom relax and open your eyes. Listen to every word I will say, and I will answer all your question. Imagine, if tomorrow is end of the world - would you be on that escaping ship or not. If yes, then why? So far I did not see any intelligent, however you got chance to correct yourself in the future.

Желаю вам того что вы мне пожелали!

  • Подскажи плиз macbook mc207 потянит 8 или только 4?

все перерыл -все говорят нет - а ты поставил

  • @ibiocopy mc207? What is mc207? and this macbook 2010 will take anything, even todays games on low easy. Other application, it will eat with easy like any good core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz computer. Especially with my top secret upgrade :-)

    Ok, anyways what is mc207?

  • @krasav4ik82 Что значит потянет или нет? У вас я смотрю мозг вообще не тянет.

У меня все тянет уже 7 month. Вы лучше научитесь смотреть Youtube глазами!!! - это и будет моя подсказка!

  • 

  • where did u buy the hard drive and memory from?

  • Have you ever had any problems with the Corsair memory you installed in the MacBook ? I'm considering that memory for my MacBook Pro 13" (2009). Thanks in advance.

  • @geekint0sh Laptop is working very well. I will record more videos. I never had problems with Corsair - they number one, then G.Skill or OCZ for me. Corsair lifetime warranty and they take care of you, but it is only if you will be very unlucky. I torture that laptop like crazy. It is getting hot at 100% cpu load, but regular macbook2011 comapred to me is not cooler for sure.

Get it, enjoy it. Corsair like chocolate candy! - from veteran overclocker Alexander Moroz

  • хаха %) красавчег

  • @Jelani3139 2.4ghz

  • You forget one VERY important thing, and that is that you should disconnect the battery before you touch anything inside the computer!

  • @Korsriddare Good thing for newbies. Gowever, battery does not send a power when it shutdown - so You will be fine.

However for newbies - they need to go discharge the electric charges and disconnect the battery and pray as well.

    Thanks for watching.

  • @76thetruth It perfectly register memory under the mac osx and windows 7. Video of installation macosX and windows 7 is coming soon. Also gaming. Not it does not heat up, cooler than before because using better components. It is gorgeous with such Moroz Edition upgrade. I would not own it if I would not install my dreamed upgrade on it. It is 100% compatible and blazing fast. More videos are coming, like installing windows 7 and mac osx and gaming .

  • @76thetruth Officialy, apple says 4gb, and guys like you believe this. Fortunetely, I am not guy like you and I am enjoying my powerful machine and upgrade memory and hard drive for less than 200 dollars. However, your 2009 macbook has a different chipset, so I am not sure if it will support 8gb or not.

  • he sounds like the apple talk guy in your OS lol

  • how much did the memory cost and were from

  • @PavleP1 Dear sir, please check the video discription. I put the link and description every single part. Thanks you for watching. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  • how much did the hard drive cost and where did you get it from?

    Great vid

  • 1:16 lol hahahahahaha
