  • I know something you could do!!!!

Well Ive always loved pooh bear and tigger! maybe you could make little figures like that!

  • Fantastic work, glad I found you. Any chance, pretty please, to show us how to make a figure e.g., a man. Learned how to make a sofa and having a man lay on it would be fabulous. Thanks

  • i kinda liked her with the long hair

  • Your are AWESOME!! She is adorable! I have some questions though. Did you say you were making them out of something other than fondant or gum paste? It looks easier to work with. Also what are you using to make the hair and the glossy look??? Please make a step by step video of how to make a person from start to finish!! Please respond I'd love to give you my email if you didn't mind me asking questions!

  • Hi,

I made this girl out of fondant with a bit of CMC powder mixed in so that it was easier to use. The glossy look was made with confectioners glaze. It looks and smells like nail polish remover but is edible.

I'd love to hear from you again, and if you try this, send me a picture please, i'd like to see how i've helped you guys!

  • Cheers Tammy... love the song!! I don't have a sugarcraft gun, but when I make hair, I use a garlic crusher!!

    xx

  • I never thought of that!!!! Good replacement!

    Tammy xxxx

  • Good idea!! I was wondering what I could use as a replacement. Since I just started I didn't want to invest in a lot of stuff yet like I did with my scrapbook. lol

  • That's so cool Tammy! I liked her "do" ... perhaps if you ever get sick of cake making you could become a hair dresser!!

I don't think I've ever seen one of those hair makers at my cake deco shop.

  • its just a sugarcraft gun, its not just for hair, you get about 16 different little plates to put in the bottom. some have lots of holes like the one i used for the hair, and some have just one hole, or a square or lots of other shapes. they're good for making little rope borders to go around the bottom of your cake.

  • Tammy where did you find your sugarcraft gun???? I tried to find one at Hobby Lobby as well as the Michaels near my house and can't seem to locate that gun. I have an extruder but HATE that thing because it's a manual thumb push extruder and it's terrible as well as painful. And by the way, THANKS FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO. I LOVE YOU TECHNIQUE! HER HAIR LOOKS AMAZING!!!!

  • I found mine in my sugar craft store but they sell them on Ebaay. just search for sugar craft gun and im sure you will find one similar or even the same gun as mine!

Im glad you like my technique, its so easy, i find adding the hair quite boring because its that easy haha! I like a challenge lol!

If you try this, try making different hairstyles and let me know, id love to see your work!

  • i know this is random but is this a song from Hair the musical? great little person by the way. I try to avoid fondant, i like using starbursts and tootsie rolls and all that. Im attempting to make a santa claus for my christmas cake and Im thinking of using starbursts and all that. i really want to experiment with fondant though. my people wont come out nearly as adorable as yours :)

  • i dont have a clue about the music, i just found it on the internet haha!

You should really try fondant, its dead fun once you get the hang of it!

    Tammy xxx

  • haha, i hat to use it, when i found it i burst out laughing and instantly knew that this was the song i would have to use haha

    Tammy xxx

  • very nice =) Do you make your own fondant or do you buy it? =D

  • i buy it from my cake store
