  • I Like this.

  • omggg she looks amazing in those dresses

  • Two of my favorite people (Alek & Yves) . . .

  • I really want that first balck dress!!

  • Alek looks so glamorous!

  • amazing video

  • I recently learned that most of the Couture sewers like at Dior and Chanel wear them. Perhaps as a designers members jacket only = ]

In todays age, this jacket represents totality in a designer. Every aspect of design should be of your knowledge, not just directing people under you. No wonder Coco Chanel was never spotted sporting one of these physician white coats.

  • It sure is, but in today's rapid pret a porter nonsense and the commercialization of anything fashion. Wearing this white jacket like a fashion physician only offends the public!

  • Just to think that after all those years of great design Mousier Saint Laurent always wore a white doctors jacket which clearly resembles a master at work like Cristobal Balenciaga did while he was the helm of his own Couture house.

  • I love Alek! I hope she'd be back in Couture next season. She was not around this Fall 08 :(

She has always been in Dior and it's really sad not to see her..

  • It's like they aren't using ethnic models that much and that's sad!

  • @AzzedineAliaFan He was the first designer to use Black models on the runway. His designs are awesome. I love the fragrance line as well.

  • Yves and his work force have created clothing which represent an era wherein perfectly cut and sewn couture clothing was at its zenith. Every stitch and material, be it wool, leather or precious silk from Lesage were ALL perfectly fitted to the body. . . not a crease can be seen, not a lining poking out rendering each model or client the epitome of unsurpassed chic. Each creation likened to a Lamborghini Murcielago . . . sleek, sharp and precise !!!!!

  • For some reason, YT didn't send your reply from this page to me.

    No matter.

Definitely ask the man to make a new image for you. He'll probably feel honoured that you still remember the image & want another copy. That's how I'd feel if I were he, that I'd been able to make such a memorable impact on someone's life like that.

    Do it!:)

  • This is from a documentary called, "Yves St. Laurent, 5 Rue Marceau". It's shown regulary on Sundance Channel, at least, once every 2 months or so. I hope you get a chance to see it, if you already haven't. The Black fit models are so delicious, I almost fell over!!! Their bearing is so extravagant!

  • Sundance Channel has another YSL doc called, "Yves St. Laurent:His Life & Times", though, according to the Sundance Channel website, neither doc are being shown right now.

  • "Yves St. Laurent:5 Avenue Marceau,75116 Paris", is the correct title.

  • And what a stunning documentary it is! I will try to post more of the documentary if I can.

  • Please, let me know when...ah, heck, I'll just subscribe!LOL

  • I've posted the entire documentary a couple of weeks ago. You can find it on my channel page.:)

  • Stunning!!!!!!!
