This was my first ever white out as a Penn State student and was extremely satisfied. The game was loud as hell and fun as hell and we gave the #2 team in the country a run for their money. One thing you forgot to mention MVillani is that we played the last quarter with our third string quarterback because Morelli was knocked out form a cheap shot and Clarke also got hurt.
The coolest part was when Tony Hunt took a screen pass from Paul Cianciolo and made jackasses out of the Michigan defense. And then they needed a huge defensive stop to seal their won. I'm thinking because it's in Beaver Stadium, Penn State wins by three touchdowns this year, because Michigan won't be as good as they were in 2006.

I'm worried about this game as a Penn State fan. It will be a very close game that comes down to a final play with less than one minute on the clock, but if Penn State wins, it could be the start of something great, if Penn State loses, it could set the tone for the season.

Stadiums have been color coordinating for games for a couple years now. "Sea of Red", "Black Out", "Sea of Scarlett" etc. our colors just happen to be blue and white hence a "White Out" so get over it.

ive been to many Penguins games, which I guarantee is way louder than any Coyotes game. Penn State games are MUCH louder than any hockey game I've been to. Unless you've been to a Penn State game, or OSU, or Michigan, etc. you can't say that a hockey crowd is better.

OH and has dominated ffotball and basketball the past 2 years. 4 national championships in those. And Kirk herbstreet (an osu alumni) said the SEC was undoubtedly the toughest conference.

Sure they are, in 2006 the #4 Michigan Wolverines vs the unranked Penn State Nittany Lions turned out to be a close 17-10 game. I hate to admit it, but if it were in Ann Arbor, the score would have looked a lot like the 1998 game.

The nebraska players are on the far sideline and as such had no effect on the outcome of the play.

This was my first ever white out as a Penn State student and was extremely satisfied. The game was loud as hell and fun as hell and we gave the #2 team in the country a run for their money. One thing you forgot to mention MVillani is that we played the last quarter with our third string quarterback because Morelli was knocked out form a cheap shot and Clarke also got hurt.

The coolest part was when Tony Hunt took a screen pass from Paul Cianciolo and made jackasses out of the Michigan defense. And then they needed a huge defensive stop to seal their won. I'm thinking because it's in Beaver Stadium, Penn State wins by three touchdowns this year, because Michigan won't be as good as they were in 2006.

....by a measely touchdown. Your heralded offense only produced 17 points, and your vaunted defense had to produce some big plays to prevent Penn State from pulling off the upset. It was 17-10 and we had the ball back with over a minute left. You were #4, and we were unranked. You should have dropped at least to #5 after Penn State took you to the wire like that. Now, if you needed big plays to win against Penn State in 2006, imagine how 2008 will go. Penn State wins by three touchdowns.

Our schools teach the same thing as your does. It teaches that a group of people outnumbered by more than 3-1 stood up to tyranny for more than 3 years and didn't back down. And it also teaches the same lie that it was fought over slavery. I don't hate people up north, my daughter lives in PA. But I am proud of my southern heritage. And if people don't like that, well that's your problem not mine. I choose to remember and remind and that's my buisness.

First off im not a coyotes fan. WHITE HOUSE.. thats what they called our Winnipeg Arena, so again NOT your thing. A whiteout is to potray the effects that happend here north of the boarder. Whiteout shows the snow effect, the pom poms(white) shows the blizzard effect. Coyotes dont come close to real white noise.. which we had. Wpg arena went to 113 decibals on more then one ocasion. Hockey isnt loud? no, NOT in US-EH. Come to Edmonton where db's reached 116 shattered arena record's for noise.

I'm worried about this game as a Penn State fan. It will be a very close game that comes down to a final play with less than one minute on the clock, but if Penn State wins, it could be the start of something great, if Penn State loses, it could set the tone for the season.

Stadiums have been color coordinating for games for a couple years now. "Sea of Red", "Black Out", "Sea of Scarlett" etc. our colors just happen to be blue and white hence a "White Out" so get over it.

ive been to many Penguins games, which I guarantee is way louder than any Coyotes game. Penn State games are MUCH louder than any hockey game I've been to. Unless you've been to a Penn State game, or OSU, or Michigan, etc. you can't say that a hockey crowd is better.

you know jetkou, penn state knows that its not their thing and that they out right stole it. the whiteout is actually a trademark owned by the coyotes/jets, and when they heard penn wanted to do a one, they were ok with it since they already put alot into it and didnt want their fans to be disappointed, so they agreed to let them do it just once. but after penn did another one, they brought up the matter and took them to court or something over it because penn went against their agreement

We also have some of the best stadiums in america. Lets not forget how LSu caused an earthquake or the the 105,000 people at tennessee or the rowdy reptiles of florida. OH and has dominated ffotball and basketball the past 2 years. 4 national championships in those. And Kirk herbstreet (an osu alumni) said the SEC was undoubtedly the toughest conference.

Sure they are, in 2006 the #4 Michigan Wolverines vs the unranked Penn State Nittany Lions turned out to be a close 17-10 game. I hate to admit it, but if it were in Ann Arbor, the score would have looked a lot like the 1998 game.
Your next game against us is on homecoming, let's look at the past few homecoming games.
2005: W 33-15 over Purdue
2006: W 26-12 over Illinois
2007: W 38-7 over Wisconsin
2008 should be a fun game, but I always like our chances on homecoming.

Dumbass, we were NEVER in the Big East. Penn State was a football independant and for all other sports a member of the Atlantic Ten conference until 1993, when we joined the Big 10. We tried to join the Big East in 1981 but were rejected.
And I guess we're such a shame of the Big 10 that we won the conference in 1994 and 2005, handed Ohio State its worst loss in over 80 years in 1994 (a 63-14 beating), and finished ranked 3 years in a row, and #3 in 2005. Michigan can't claim that.

It was funny hearing you guys bitch about the officiating when the lousy big ten refs got you into a bowl game you didn't deserve to be in to begin with. The play ended near the michigan sideline and it is obvious that there are michigan players from the sideline on the field of play. The nebraska players are on the far sideline and as such had no effect on the outcome of the play.

A penalty is a penalty. And it DID interfere with the outcome. #1 was not on the field at the start of the play. Watch a full replay, when the Nebraska D trots onto the field, and he isn't there.
