On the first ballot I think it's wrong for delegates to abandon their pledges. But, if no candidate hits the magic number on the first ballot (and this is the likely result of Hillary's actions), then all pledges are off and the deal=making begins. Unfortunately, that's just the way it's going to have to play out.
