You should be very proud! I didn't see balky-- just a horse trying something new, and making very sure 'Mom' really did want him to actually go through with each obstacle! Nice job of riding quietly and patiently! I bet you win next time.
@rosierocksurworld Lol it's not that it's extreme its just putting most trail trials together all at once. You'd be surprised how many horses can't do it. You should check out the extreme trail challenge in washington state. It's amazing. And I've found that side pull bridles work better than bitless bridles. They don't use pressure points; you should check it out.
you do realise the bitless bridles create a huge amount of pressure and pain.. just around the nose not in the mouth. so using a normal bridle corrextly can be better :)
Dr. Cook's Bitless Bridle is the one I recommend and works in an extremely safe and painless way without any more pressure on poll or nose than a bridle with a bit. The aim is to ride with minimal use of reins, but if a rein on this Bitless Bridle is used it brings gentle pressure to bear on the lower side of the horse's whole head.
that was really good!! I want to set up a course like that at home to play with my horses on. Looks like fun. Good Job. Did you have to do the see-saw bridge?
Your course is wonderful would you build me one? Ha

Good job! Now teach your horse with a bitless bridle and no spurs and see how proud you'll be then!!!
