Kurt had a real reason, he had a chronic stomach condition and since he met with countless doctors who couldnt explain what was wrong and after trying prescriptions, nothing would work. so herione helped soothe the pain for awhile, he stopped once he found out what the problem was, it was connected to his scoliosis. he finally found the relief he needed. so dont go patronizing and overbearing his drug use, which was NOT a huge part of his life.

It's been said the scoliosis caused a pinched nerve that irritated his stomach. My mom has a kind of pain like that (dammit, I can't think!)...something that makes her stomach burn when the docs can't find another cause.
