Spark Plug Replacement

The E3 plugs are a pile of junk.Had a 2003 Impala in that ran bad and a missfire code appeared.Was the E3 plugs I removed which someone else installed and threw them in the garbage can.I installed AC Delcos,no more missfires and ran much better.Change the fuel filter also,cheaper than replacing an expensive fuel pump.Did that yesterday,fuel pump went bad because of a badly plugged up fuel filter

I use Bosch 4516 on my 08 Nissan Altima 2.5 s. Is that good? I haven't put them on yet.

@GS1ER --- I haven't tried those myself. But the reviews look good for that plug.

According to Summit Racing, they feature a fused iridium and platinum center electrode that produces a longer, more powerful spark. It outperforms OE iridium plugs by significantly reducing gap wear. This means less stress on the ignition system for quicker starts, more efficient fuel combustion, and a longer performance life.

Actually using the original brand thats recommended for the vehicle is better. I used to put Bosch plat 4 on my v8 silverado. When I switched back to ac delco it was a major difference. Now I drive a f250 v10 so that's not going to be cheap to change out plugs. Recommended is value craft so I I'm just using theft high performance line.

Ah, the HEMIs work better on the "cheap ass" plugs, so always research what your engine really needs.

The ac delco's for my car are the best I can have. Those 23's are the real pieces of shit.

OEM plugs can be better then name brand plugs for example the v8 Magnum engines in the dodge and Jeep vehicles dont really like anything but Copper plugs, usually champion plugs.. The fancy iridium and 4 prong, platinum plugs tend not to run well in those engines

I noticed you didn't put any grease on the new plugs to keep the threads from fusing. Is it necessary to do it or no?

@55stunt Not necessary, although it's a nice addition to the job to help prevent seizing of the plugs in the future. The most important thing is to properly torque it down.
