It actually does, its about the culture of backstage professional wrestling. Not only drug use and alcoholism is common, but there have been numerous cases of violence. The Benoit story brought this all out in the open.

The entertainment from the WWE itself is very sexiest and sometimes Misogynist. MANY angles on the WWE display the violence to women is acceptable. As for real life violence, Steve Austin nearly killed Debra a few years ago.

So this is all culturally linked.

I have lived with an abusive couple. There are A NUMBER of factors that keep the victim from leaving the relationship. They are mainly both financial and emotional.

Just to say "its your responsibility to leave his sorry ass" is easier said than done.

My whole point about financial situation is that sometimes the victim ( always a female) has no other place to go. My whole fucking point is that its not easy at all for the victim to leave an abusive relationship.

For the record many predatory/abusive men can be selective of their partner. One thing many of them look for is to see if they have a bad relationship with their parents. That benefits them for a number of reasons.

Mainly because the victim has no supportive place to turn to and its easier for the abusive husband to isolate the victim from her family. My whole point of the financial obstacle is not money, its the victim being able to support themselves. There is a reason that many homeless women were abused wives.
