this is a cheap netbook, you can easily buy one for under 150 with shipping and tax( i just bought one). and plus, if you are a kind of person that MUST HAVE the best labtop, best car, best everything, then go ahead and knock your self out in market. you can easily be spending way over 3K for a labtop and thats fine if you have the money.
Where do you live, because here in New Brunswick, New Jersey I bought mine at Wal-Mart for $349 and it ran linux. It's a fucking shame I could've waited and bought the windows ones. Damn it!
Hi i have too windows xp on it i install it with a external USB DVD RW and i have on this a 12GB SD Card :) the eeePC is awesome kids love it and i have it with me everywhere and i stay online with my friens on messenger everywhere i go
not really..... they have the 'air' as the ultra portable laptop and the iphone as the even more portable web browser.... a webbook is basically an affordable go between and i dont ever see apple going into that market
I never thought of that...an Eee PC that ran Leopard. Makes perfect sense considering how advanced Apple's technology is getting. It's a stretch but it could happen. Out sell the air for sure.
OSx86 ftw =). although i prefer ubuntu linux over any of the OSes out there. i really only like XP for its gaming qualities (vista wont install ANY of my games) and with a netbook, the only way to go as far as i see is linux: lightweight (fast and small), easy to use (trust me, it really is easy), and because its a netbook, you dont have to worry about putting heavy programs on it (ie games, photoshop, and basically most standard windows-only programs)
this laptop is a very good first timer the only let down that i find with it is the keys are relitively small but once you get used to it its okay, its very good and easy to carry around
