A lot of poignant moments on the Simpsons involve Lisa and her father, with the kid trying to make Homer a better person. My favorite Homer and Lisa moment is when he takes her to Dr. Hibberts and as they're leaving, Homer gets on the escalator and says something like "Don't worry, honey, I'll never let us grow apart" and we see Lisa still at the top of the escalator, and the great distance between the father and his daughter. What a stirring shot. I was just thinking about it.
