All us brought up in the 80's had the best ever music, no Dow't about it.
My two sick mates were at the Regal Hitchin, when one of them started to cry after hearing this song, my mate said, what's up, My other mate said that's were I was brought up.
Brings back a few memories from my days at Liverpool Uni - went to see Crocodile Dundee one wet Wednesday afternoon, but couldn't get into the cinema due to the queues! Ended up having to go back the following Saturday to get in and watch it......

How can you see looking through those tears Don't you know you're worth your weight in gold I can't believe you're alone in here Let me warm your hands against the cold If you smiled the walls would fall down On all the people in this pickup joint But if you laughed you'd level this town Hey lonely girl that's just the point Hey yeah you with the sad face Come up to my place and live it up Hey yeah you beside the dance floor Whattya cry for let's live it up

How can you see looking through those tears Don't you know you're worth your weight in gold I can't believe that you're alone in here Let me warm your hands against the cold A close encounter with a hardhearted man Who never gave half of what he got Has made you wish that you'd never been born That's a shame cause you got the lot Hey yeah you with the sad face Come up to my place and live it up you beside the dance floor What do you cry for let's live it up
They are from New Zeeland although they sold under AU Producer in the 80ties. Most people remember the song from the scene in 86 where Mick Dundee is at a New York houseparty.
There was a 12" version as well with a long drum solo.
I was at the walkabout in london (temple) on sunday for the australia v germany game, they played this before the kick off, all the aussies singing along was great, seemed to cure my hangover
