Everybody thinks Sid was an asshole but the rest of the band looked up to Sid. Steve tried to act like him and Johnny and Sid were best friends. Sid wasn't an ass at all, he was just misunderstood and Glen was becoming an ass and refused to be associated with The Pistols. Don't believe me watch their documentary The Filth and The Fury.
