i like to think as of a pie chart:

25%normal monsters

25%effect monsters(you can also merge an uneven number of both normal monsters and effect monsters but they HAVE TO make about 50%)

25%spells

25%traps

and by 25% i mean as close to 10 cards as possible, and 50% is as close to 20 so that the cards you need will appear more frequently.

I don't know if you played before synchros existed, but I've been playing since the first season of the original yugioh aired. A lot of people hate how they changed the rules.

@neshvadshahin Sacrificing and Fusion and Ritual Summoning are much better. Why have a pathetic 300 Atk point tuner in your deck when the only card effects revolves around levels. My deck doesn't use any synchros and I love it when people have cards in their deck that revolve around synchro summoning because they are harder to summon and they get destroyed just as easily as other monsters. In real life Yusei's deck would be one of the worst decks ever.

@oldwizardguy i understand what your trying to say but what about blackwing armor master? it had 2500 attack and 1500 defence and it cant be destroyed in battle, and you also dont take damage from using that card like if you hit a face down big sheild gardna nothing happens, and also the famous wedge counter that you can but on your enemys card and remove it so his attack and def would drain down to zero, cards like that are amazing, and i disagree with fusioning, not all synchros suck :)

@neshvadshahin Lightning Vortex? Tribute to the doom? My deck is full of weak monsters and I always win. People have to think of combos that no one ever uses and the only 5ds card I use is Scrap Iron Scarecrow. Also I think fusions are great because you can special summon a good monster on the first turn and after it attacks if you have de-fusion you can get at least two more attacks.

Ok, let's clear something up. The reason synchros are so hated is because they ruined the game for the very first players. All these people, including me, worked their asses off to get the deck that was their favorite. Most decks were on even ground until synchros. They rendered most of the old decks useless. I'd like to see how all synchro users would feel if a new way of summoning came out that made synchros look like shit. So all you up-to-date- duelist could feel way the older players do.

Wow!! Synchros really are not as "terrible" as you think!!! You say they take FOREVER to summon(that means you just suck and can't play wisely) and you say they are not even that good(if you actually read the effect they could be some of the most useful monsters in the game). If you put a original card deck against a deck with new cards(synchros etc) the new one would have COMPLETE advantage over the originals

I have to say that I slightly disagree with the Dark World statement, they are a very good deck and typically they can swarm the field very fast and with the new deck coming out in the OCG they will get better since their field spell lets them discard more. But yeah simply relaying on discarding can also be a drawback but I still run them when I can.

First, with the original yugioh, there were fusions and rituals.

That was awesome. Second there were new GX monsters and elemental heroes. No new Rituals, but there were new fusions. That was okay. Then, there were the sucky duel runners and synchros. They Suck. The new yugioh is going to SO SUCK. Why cant they have it like the old yugioh! There is going to be a yugioh movie with Yugi, Jaden, and Yusei in it. Yugi is the best one, Yusei is just wierd. Jaden is so so so so so so so so so so gay.
