He felt a penalty should've been called that wasn't and the Devils lost the game.

The Devils were playing wayyyy over their heads that year. They got hot late, took out the Isles in 6, although the Isles were without Potvin AND Bossy.

Why would Jim show this to the Rangers? It was these Devils that ousted the Rangers for a playoff spot that year.

Now didn't the refs not show up for the next game and they pulled 3 dudes out of the crowd in Boston and they ref'd the game? They wore inside out yellow Bruins practice uniforms.

Yeah, something like that; the officials who were supposed to ref the game protested & refused to take the ice, so they called in some alternates, & they showed up wearing yellow sweaters & white helmets...at least I remember hearing something about this a few years after it happened.....

I also think they delayed the start of Game 4 while waiting for the replacement refs to show; the Meadowland Arena was packed, anticipating the game to start, when they finally arrived. Schoenfeld was initally suspended but got an injunction allowing him to coach & that's why the refs refused to skate that night...
