Install Ubuntu Server 10.04 on VMWare Fusion 3 Part 2 of 2

Hey man, when i turn it on it already has user and requires a password, what is the default password? it is not " " or "admin"!

hello... :) thanks for this video. Im hv a bit confuse after typing ip number. I've used my ip number (172.16.225.132) on my safaris address bar. but, it seems error (cant connect...). And on my ubuntu (it still display the same command <usr@ubuntu:~$... what should i do to use my ubuntu with normal startup... Thank Q. Din... :)

@adeqden8702 That's all you see with ubuntu server; there is no graphical environment. As far as the ip issue, run ifconfig in the ubuntu vm and then try using that ip address in the browser of the host machine. If that doesn't connect, there is some problem with the installation.

I just get a ubuntu logo and dots? what is wrong?

@ThatKidKnows That's how it starts booting up; if it doesn't complete, then perhaps the image file is corrupted. Run the disk check from the installation menu to see. Or perhaps you don't have enough memory, or enough memory allocated to the virtual machine..

@brucefulton I am actually using it on a 9 yr old desktop haha.... gave up on ubuntu server, and am settling for a ubuntu desktop..
