  • Niam txiv koj puas paub peb hmoob muaj tsawg pua tus nyob rau suav teb

  • Just wanted to let you know that your videos are an inspiration! I will be sharing your videos and channel on my blog in the near future!

    Best,

    K

  • @niamtxiv do you happen to know where all the locations and towns in China where the hmongs live ?

  • @FLOMOSAPIANS

Hunan (fenghuang), Guizhou (kaili, songtao, guiyang..... lots of Miao/Hmong in Guizhou), Yunnan (weishan).

  • @FLOMOSAPIANS thankyou

  • I love this. Such a beautiful video.

  • Hmong peoples are no tub nkeeg, if we are than how come we came so far so fast. Thats right we wanted today is going to get done today call that lazy? and yes we smart thats why we rather die tomorrow and not today. I bet you the only lazy Hmong looser that fail haha.

  • hmong are very tub nkeeg, I am sometimes convincing myself to not believe in these many stories. Hmong want it done today, not tomorrow. But rather die tomorrow then today.

  • if these are real silver, these miao people are rich. silver trades at $15 US per ounce. it is estimated to go up in time. silver uses for computer boards, chips, cell phone, electrical conductor. limited supply here. this culture is already materially rich. what else is there to ask for. keep mining for silver, don't let it vanished by others.

  • Agreed with @se2second, cultures evolve and extinct. Sooner or later one's culture will disappear. Race is important. Keeping the race pure should be the goal here.

  • I like this! Thanks for sharing and educating us.

  • do the Hmong have anything to do with the natives of north and south america

    before colombus?

  • @CrazyNative4 Don't know. We haven't tracked our history that far yet to see if there is a connection.

  • @CrazyNative4

I do not know. Hmong have many origins because their ancestors came from different parts of China long before the rise of the Chinese civilization. The Hmong ancestors, basically have been exterminated to near extinction... but there is a saying in the Hmong language.... we are like the weed and bamboo groves... no matter how much the Chinese gov't in the past had waged extermination policies against the Miao, our people didn't perish.

  • @niamtxiv thank you

  • @CrazyNative4 no, not that I know of. there's no documentations but thru centuries we were told that the hmongs has their own land in china. later, they were pushed out across South East Asia.

  • cool people and cool clothes etc.

  • this is cool

  • I love your videos man, really appreciate it for making beautiful and wonderful videos of the Hmong culture. Thanks for educating me more about who I am and where my ancestors have come from. Because of that, I am more thankful of myself and have taken more pride of my culture and people. I feel there's more to than just who we are, and I wish that I can just turn back the hands of time just to for one time, even if it's for the smallest amount of time, to learn who we really are as Hmong.

  • Nice....keep it up.

  • @Hm0ngYexus

You are the most pathetic person to comment on my video. if you're going to act smart, maybe you need to reeducate yourself first before making such an ignorant comment. Since you want me to use vulgar language, "FUCK YOU." Japanese called themselves Nippon, Korean called themselves Hangook, Vietnamese called themselves Kinh and Hmong people called themselves Hmong. Maybe your dumbass needs to take linguistic, history, and etc... even religion class since you have a fk up head.

  • @niamtxiv Aha got you to talk! thanks for wasting you time. :P

  • @Hm0ngYexus

I already knew your plan. Ignorants will get a response from me.

  • @niamtxiv Making sure your still alive :o haha

  • @niamtxiv People, theres no point in arguing. We all should try to put the pieces together and not fight against each other. Appreciate those who try to preserve the Hmong culture, teach those who wants to learn, and show respect for those whose trying to educate the public about Hmong to thier best potential. Keep in mind, our heritage was and still is (somewhat) an oral library. We dont have books, scrolls, or artifacts to rely on, so we all need to respect each other and share!

  • @niamtxiv I agree with you NiamTxiv. This guys sounds like a little kid who only knows the BASICS about our culture! Especially, enjoyed the part of you listing ethnics groups such as the Nippon, Hangook, Kinh. N to Mr. Smart Mouth look up different ethnic groups in China. Even the Chinese don't call themselves Chinese. They call themselves Han!

  • beautiful culture

  • Niamtxiv, I know you try to gather a lot of history fact on the hmong's way of life. But living that life to its fullest to bring out the best in our people leads to the truth, thus it has always been within us, but people continue to look outward unending...

  • @ThePerniciousTruth

physical features may change, but the culture does not...... the West has the policy of assimilating culture. A culture does not equal a race or physical look.

  • I disagree with the "vanishing culture" element. In the West, I'd say it is evolving, radically even, alongside whatever is the mainstream and possibly even lacking ethnocentric boundaries. But isn't that what evolution is? Yes, we - Hmong/Miao - alike cannot embody our ancestors or even our parents/grandparents and cultural aspects, elements, and treasures will undoubtedly be lost and forgotten but that's reality. What we need to do is cherish them and hold on to what we can to uniquely be us.

  • Hmongs are like the native americans of the Americas, except only in East Asia.

  • it is so magnificent. These dresses are indeed vanishing. My heart is with you niamtxiv.

    tz

  • For each type of traditional-wear, it would be helpful if the pictures were labeled showing which region these Hmong are from (what province of China, etc.)

  • this is true hmong culture is disappearing as we speak each day more hmong people are drawn into korean and japanese styles more often and hmong people are not dancing properly with in their style they are adapting others the original hmong kick dances are vanishing and most hmong teens dont want to learn kwv txhiaj or hmong wedding rights they leaving the hmong ways they barely wear hmong clothings at new years ull see them wear hmong clothes for 1 -2 hours only

  • Kuv yog hmoob tam sim no kuv nyob rau melikas kuv nyiam hmoob kuv hlub hmoob tuag lwm tiam los kuv thov rov qab los ua hmoob,lo lus no kuv muab rau peb hmoob tag nrho thoob lub qab ntuj no tias txawm peb yuab nyob rau qhov twg los peb tseem yog hmoob thov hmoob sis hlub hmoob nawv mog PEB HMOOB.

  • i love my hmong people

  • Omg look at the size of their jewelries n their hair?!!! Amazing!!!

  • After watching this video, I wanna find out the names for the different Hmong groups here. Their clothings are so beautiful. OAO

  • Wow! I did not noe that us Hmong ppl r so ancient! The clothing then to now are such a change. I see little little similarities.

  • Your writing is to small to read, Niamtxiv

  • @niamtxiv those clothing styles and decoration -- so beautiful -- is there an ancestral link, culture link to the slavik people from these people. Ukranian and Czech very close in styles?

  • Keep up the good work Niamtxiv!! Your effort is much appreciated. I too believe that the Hmong people is a vanishing culture. I have mixed emotions about this. One is of sadness and the other is that every culture evolves. I think as long as we remember in our hearts that we are Hmong I can live with that.

  • i am hmong usa, but i love all kinds of hmong in the world. we have many kinds of dress. all kinds of clothes so colorful and so beautiful...?????

  • Who tell you that you can't stand erect with only one leg???

I can do it right now!

  • @happymoumou Can you not understand this?

"One leg cannot stand erect, one hand clapping cannot make a sound."

Only keeping certain pieces of Hmong culture cannot sustain a cultural heritage.

    Take your ignorance somewhere else.

  • enchanting!

  • Thanks for sharing, I needed to know my history.

  • These photos seem to be very old. Nice sharing NiamTxiv.

  • @se2cond

you are ignorant. The Hmong people started living in the mountains during Qing dynasty. The mountains were the only way to protect them from Qing's soldiers. You don't know their history, you don't understand.

  • @niamtxiv but now they still survive in Vietnam and China .

  • @se2cond

a culture is different from a people..... a people survive, but a culture does not.....

  • @niamtxiv I see just because they does'nt stand up ;)

  • @niamtxiv

He/she is either trying to provoke you with illegitimate comments, or he/she really is ignorant. But yes, you are right, a culture will die if it disappears. A lot of people only know that Hmong live in the hills of SW China/Indochina, but they don't understand why. Few bother to learn the history.

  • @se2cond failed

  • @se2cond You are either really ignorant, stupid, or suck at trolling. smh

  • understood...send them to me

  • what i like about the middle east is that they always wear their traditional clothes.unfortunately many places have adopted western clothing and hatetheir own.this vid is good

  • @LilBlitz116

it's great to see some people/cultures still wearing their traditional clothes everyday... makes me happy to see how proud they are.

  • this is a sweet video.

  • u should become a hmong teacher and educate hmong and american students about the whereabouts of the Hmong culture :) since u put so much dedication and effort into making these videos and have so much knowledge.

  • need to document the dying races.

  • thank you for this wonderful clip. it's in one of my favorites now.

  • i love the song...and the video holds great significance to me...im trying to preserve as much as i can in our culture...im actually learning paj ntaub and how to hais kwv txhiaj...tnx for sharing this video..

  • we still have hundred more colorful clothing of outside china miao.lot to learn about ourselves.proud to be hmong/miao.

  • Wow... I have never seen anything like this. It has to be the most beautiful culture I have ever seen! Second comes Japanese. This culture looks like one that is really very deep, like there is just this extreme depth to it... I like it.

  • @BLinDaTbESt

Thank you for your wonderful comment. There are many beautiful cultures out there in the world that are unknown to the mainstream.... many cultures continue to struggle, many vanished..... as a people, it is important to appreciate all cultures, people, the beauty of diversity, languages and etc........ thank you my friend. :)

  • What's that painting at the end represent?

  • I liked Gran Torino

  • very nice video, thks upload, and I have put in on my favorite

  • @biklikbala

thank you biklikbala. :-) have a beautiful day. thank for watching.

  • @niamtxiv dude, it's outstanding job! you don't know how sick I feel while watching those performers wearing cheapy & fake costumes to sing and dance under the "ethnics-harmony theme" ...... tell the world what's the root of yr people, don't let CCP "sinicizated'

  • @biklikbala

It sicken me to see people wearing cheap and fake stuff as well. I can only hope that some will continue to make traditional clothes.

  • loving all the clothings and i so am in love with all the diverseness of our culture

    i love being Hmong

  • Who would dislike my video? LMAO.... I know who it is.......

  • @niamtxiv

Nice thought,"writing with thread, wearing our history"also in the West they looking up to the richness of these dresses, moreover they like to learn back what once was real and not fake.I like the pureness and the color, something we miss in this grey world.Right,"one leg cannot stand erect, one hand clapping cannot make a sound" make sense to me,i can only support your endeavor to keep this culture alive.

  • where do you get all these image from?

  • @RedHmong

it was given to me by a Miao Chinese.

  • @niamtxiv By any chance could you send me copy of them?

  • yes very beautiful but u r forgetting the sea hmongs

  • @dededoi

no, i'm not forgetting..... the SEA Hmong are originally from China. I did not include them because there were no pictures.

  • @niamtxiv okay then

  • great video, though it would have been nice to see the hmong clothing from Laos. there was only one at 5:02....but nonetheless, i appreciate your efforts ^^v

  • @wolfqueen

all of the clothes are from China....
