@allboostnojuice the evo has 400 hp to the tires, the 505 hp is the crank hp. the corvette z06 dynos at around 430 hp at the tires,(check my channel, that's what ours made before we threw a built ls7 into it) the evo is a bit lighter and has a bit less hp, on the straights they were nearly even. i agree with the better driver comment though, the vettes driving line was erratic at best
@KTKisLife, Rookie is right man. He's having to take advantage of that extra 100hp to just stay ahead of you. Just a 4cyl jap sedan? The Evo has always been more than just a sedan.
@aaotech2 Yea, anybody who is knowledgeable about cars will know what an Evo is capable of. I just don't want to feed the trolls trying to defend one side in the American vs Japanese debate :P
@darryleshelly Ya the Z06 definitely the better track car platform. It has a lower center of gravity, it has huge 14" 6 piston brakes, 275 width tires up front and 325s in the back, forged aluminum control arms, carbon fiber fenders, aluminum frame, 7.0L aluminum block LS7 427, titanium con rods, titanium exhaust valves, CNC head, dry sump lubrication, can rev out to 7000rpm all stock. This vid is not about which is better, its just me chasing that monster in daily driven 4cyl jap sedan.
@KTKisLife LOL! Yeah, that "4cyl jap sedan" sure does manage to do pretty-well. Don't worry too much about guys trying to diss on your car. It's very fast, and you handle-it well. I'm a Vette driver myself and it makes me sad to see other Vette drivers attempt to discredit good cars like yours by claiming that it's "ALL DRIVER". You are a good driver, but we both know that's only part of the equation here. It just sucks that people develop such stereotypes by saying stuff like that.
@13tommy1 While the driver IS the most important part of the equation, I have to dissagree with you a bit. I don't know how much road-racing experience you have, but I can tell you from my experience some parts make a HUGE difference.
Brakes make a huge difference on the track. Being able to brake late consistently is probably #1 for turning-in good laps.
Tires are the other big-one, for obvious reasons.
Between these two cars, same driver, the one with brakes and tires will be faster.
@sydneyACE well i disagree with YOU a bit. Brakes only take you so far. Wont do a thing up against a car that handles miles better than the next. (as in the z06 handles miles better than the evo) There is more of a difference in handling than there is with brakes. Brakes wont be able to make up the difference.
@13tommy1 I own a Vette, my buddy has a C6 Z06. I have driven both, I track mine a few times every year and see EVOs once in a while. I can tell you for sure, the Z06 handling isn't "miles better" than an EVO. EVOs handle VERY well. If you do a search on slalom times, you will find that some tests put the Z06 ahead and some put the EVO ahead. I'm certain, that with the same driver, an EVO would be faster with tires and brakes, and vise-versa if the Vette had the tires and brakes.
@13tommy1 If anything, this video is proof of that. The driver of this EVO has said that he was taking a "bad" line. His 400whp helps to close the gap, but the Z06 is still around 450whp. If the power to weight ratio is similar, and the EVO driver is running "sub-par" lines, to what do you attribute the EVOs abbility to keep-up and pass this Z06? The Z06 driver's lines are not bad. So, why is this EVO so fast? Good tires, good brakes. No offence to KTKisLife, but it's not ALL driver.
@sydneyACE ANYONE can mod a car to the hilt to make it go faster. Stock for stock yes the Z06 is MILES or should I say, hundreds of miles ahead of the evo. And since you say you track your car several time a year you should of known that following someone is ALOT easier than leading. Also you talk about power to weight ratio. This is a low speed track with a ton of slow turns. HP isnt worth dick in those situations. It the torque which is key. Z06 has it, the evo dosent.
@sydneyACE Where did the evo pass the Z06? You must be watching another video. Didnt happen. His 400whp helped close the gap? LOL Again you must be watching a different video. The Z06 CLEARLY pulls away in the straights. Watch the video again. Its on the turns the evo starts to catch up. Obviously the Z06 driver isnt that good. Driver is to blame. Look at ANY lap times with pro drivers on both cars. The Z06 rapes the Evo bad, very bad.
@13tommy1 Z06 waived the EVO by right at the end of the vid. You understand the definition of "helps" right? I didn't say the EVO was faster in the straights, maybe you could show me where I did? What I meant was the 400whp helps to close the overall performance gap that exists between the stock form of the two cars. Obviously the Vette driver is inexperienced and that contributes to a good bit of the reason why the EVO can keep-up so easily but...
@13tommy1 There are several parts in the video where the inexperienced Vette driver takes a better line AND gets a good run onto the straight, and the EVO is still right on his ass. Watch @ 1:57-2:10, the Vette's line isn't perfect, but it's better than the EVO's (no offence KTKisLife, I know you were playin). The EVO doesn't start on the outside edge, apexes too early, then sits on the apex for like 5 seconds, and still has better mid-corner speed than the Vette.
@sydneyACE again LOL At 1:57 the z06 is WAY wide. Are you kiddng me? And he didnt get on the gas much cause he would of went off the track.
Listen moron. I dont give a fuck what an inexperienced driver does with a fast car. Dosent make the OTHER car faster. Look at the track times of pro or near pro drivers. Take for example the ring. What happened there? The Evo runs in the 8:20 sec range. The Z06 runs in the 7:20 sec range. Not even in the same ball park bud.
@13tommy1 "Moron"? "fuck"? You have to go there? Insult and profanity def aren't justified. I've been respectful to you, no reason not to show me respect too. Just because we dissagree, doesn't mean hostility is required too. Don't get me started on the ring. It's an aweful benchmark with which to compare cars. WAY too many variables (drivers, conditions etc.). You ARE right in the fact that us trying to compare these 2 cars (one modded and the other unknown), driven by amatures is pointless.
@sydneyACE Sorry but the ring is a GREAT way to benchmark cars. Variables? LOL Get the best driver to get the best time. Dont see ANY variable there. Conditions?? You can run the car over and over any time you like. SO your 2 so called variables just went out the window.
@13tommy1 Ok, so if the fastest driver around the ring is "Fred" and "Fred" get's paid by company "A" to lap their car around the ring. "A" has several-hundred thousand to spend renting the track when it's not open to the public. This way they can get more laps, and Fred gets more experience in their car. "A" decides to swap-out the factory tires in-leu of some slicks for a good lap-time. Fred laps their car @ 7:20.0. Then company "B" comes along...
@13tommy1 Fred wont drive for "B" because they wont pay him as much as company "A". So "B" has to settle for "Joe" who's only been round the ring a few times. "B" also doesn't have hundreds of thousand to spare to rent the track multiple times for practice/research and so Joe can get enough laps to learn the best lines. They go out-there and give an honest effort anyhow (being honest they run the factory tires)...
@13tommy1 Joe laps company "B's" car @ 7:21.0. Now, you tell me which car is REALLY the faster car. You see the problem with Nurburgring comparisons? You can't just go and run whenever you like. Sure it's open to the public, and it's only like 15 euros, but the thing is jam-packed with tourists on holiday and stuff. There are no official sanctioning bodies to watch what is run (tires, brakes, etc.) so manufacturers can "cheat" a lot. There are WAY better ways to compare cars.
@sydneyACE OMFG!!! You are so much in denial. Guess those guys cheated at Laguna, willow and EVERY other track the C6 destroyed the C5. ANd stop being in denial of OFFICIAL ring lap times. NOBODY cheated. The track was CLEAR withthe best runs recorded. Thats why there is such thing as video. DUHHHH. Jesus christ. Stop defending your car. Its not NEARLY as fast.
@13tommy1 Will those videos tell you what tires are on the car? Will they tell you what kind of brake-pads were used? How do you know certain cars didn't performance pads? How do you know Nissan didn't turn-up the boost on the GTR when they lapped-it? How is putting a more-experienced driver in one car and a less-experience driver in another a fair comparison? What makes these time "official"?! Answer those questions honestly, then tell me how those laps times are even close to "official".
@13tomabram You keep saying "excuses" like I'm trying to discredit the lap-times GM turned-out. I'm not, I think GM was being honest when they say that there cars are stock. What about everyone else? You just take everyone's word for-it that they are using showroom stock stuff? You still haven't addressed the fact that everyone uses different drivers. Remember our whole debate began because you claimed drivers are the #1 factor (and I agreed). That must not apply to the Ring huh?
@sydneyACE who the hell is talking about everyone else? ALl I have talked about was the C5 and the C6. NOTHING ELSE!!! So what the gods FUCK are you talking about shithead? Fucking douchebag, AGAIN, GM USED FUCKING COCKSUCKING JIM MERO WITH STOCK TIRES THAN THE OPTIONAL FUCKING CUNT LICKING TIRES. 2 MOTHER FUCKING CUM DRINKING COCK SUCKING SECONDS FUCKING SECONDS MOTHER FUCKER. LIKE THAT CUNT COCK SHIT OR NOT. ITS THE FUCKING FACTS YOU INBREED FUCKFACE SHIT EATER.
@13tomabram Yeah, a CLOSED track. How much do you suppose that costs? How much time do you think practicing/testing on an empty track is worth? Where did I say that they did these times on anything but? Seriously, stop putting words into my mouth, and stop with the insults and profanity. A driver is the #1 variable right? So how much time diff between a GOOD driver and a GREAT driver on a 13mile track? 10, 15 seconds? IF everyone used the same driver, then the Ring would be OK but they don't.
@sydneyACE OMFG!!!! EVERY MANUFACTURE RAN ON A CLOSED TRACK YOU STUPID FUCK. WHO THE FUCK COCK SUCKING CARES HOW MUCH IT COSTS CUM BREATH.
AND FUCKFACE, EVERYONE USED PRO DRIVERS. THEY ARE FUCKING MORE THAN CAPABLE IN RUNNING THE CARS THE BEST THE CAR CAN RUN. SO STOP WITH THE CUNT LICKING EXCUSES COCKSUCKER.
DONT BE UPSET CAUSE YOUR CAR GOT RAPED BY THE C6. NOT MY FAULT YOU HAVE AN OUTDATED CAR. MAYBE GET A DECENT JOB AND BUY A C6. UNTIL THEN FUCK YOURSELF FAGGOT.
@13tomabram You are very confused. I'm not arguing that the stock C5 and stock C6 are on-par. I've said that at least 3 times already. I'm trying to tell you that the times posted on the Ring using different drivers on different days, in different temperatures shouldn't be used to compare cars. I know everyone TIMED on a closed track, but how many practice/test on a closed track? You think a small company like Radical has enough $ to have the track to themselves for more than a few hours?
@sydneyACE Then radical has even a BETTER car than what they tested. Cause it walked all over the C6 vettes. LOL Fuck head. Who give a FUCK about a radical? But its typical dumb fucks change the subject when they are wrong. Congratulations fucktard.
@13tomabram Exactly my point! Now you're getting-it! Yay for you! If Radical's car really IS better than the time it posted, and the DRIVER they chose didn't run the best possible lap, then what does that say about Ring lap-times in general? I'll answer the question for you since you refuse to; The driver variable is FAR too great to call the times posted "conclusive" or "official". Nuff said. Thank you for proving my point for me.
@sydneyACE LOL You actually believe a company is going to post a time that isnt their best? You must be joking. If it wasent the best time they could muster they would NOT post up the time. DUHHHHHH Nice try. You are STILL wrong.
@13tomabram YOU'RE the one that said it dumbass! YOU said if Radical used a driver that wasn't as good as another manufacturer, then thier lap-time would be worse than if they used a better driver. Or are we to assume that all the drivers used for the timing are equal? You already said driver is #1 variable right? So which is it? Is the driver important of not?! You're starting to contradict yourself.
@sydneyACE contradict myself? LOL Go back to your first DUMB comment. You said the brakes is what make the difference. You moron. I said driver in my FIRST comment dumb fuck.
@13tomabram NO, NO, NO! My first comment to you said; While the driver IS the most important part of the equation, I have to dissagree with you a bit... but I can tell you from my experience some parts make a HUGE difference. Remember?! I NEVER said brakes were #1. You're puting words into my mouth, AGAIN.
@13tomabram Yes! You ARE contradicting yourself. You say that different drivers yield different times, but then you say Ring lap-times driven with DIFFERENT drivers are a "GREAT" way to compare cars. That makes no sense whatsoever. So, tell me, do different drivers on the Ring make a difference or not? Simple question, lets have an answer huh?
@sydneyACE LOL Guess the term "official" is bogus in your mind. You must be living in your own fantasy world. Might as well get a C3, 2, or 1. Cause you know the vettes just keep getting slower around the track. You are completely retarded. Face it. The C5 is a MUCH slower car around the track than the C6. Hands down. Bottom line. End of story.
@13tomabram Jim Mero is a Chassis engineer for GM with limited racing experience. Other manufacturers had Marc Basseng drive, who is a profesional GT driver from GERMANY. Hmmm I wonder who has more experience on the Ring? Marc probably grew-up driving out there. How can you put someone like that in a car VS Jim and say that it's a purely objective comparison between the CARS?!
@sydneyACE OMFG!!! Jim Mero is a PRO driver and ran on the ring THOUSANDS of laps. So sorry bud, jim gave it all its got. Stop being in denial with all your excuses. Jesus fucking christ. Plus dick bag, i compared jim to jim. Duhhhh. Learn how to read. Guess you being in such denial is blurring your vision. What a complete fuck tard.
@13tomabram So you're saying there is someone there employed by who? The Nurburgring facility? And these "officials" check the car carefully to ensure they are to exact stock specifications? Do they remove the pads to make-sure they are factory? Did they check the springs in the wastegates of the turbo cars to ensure they haven't bumped-up boost? Do they dissassemble the engines to ensure bore and stroke are factory? Where is the Ring's official site that verifies the configurations and times?
@sydneyACE holy fucking shit. Are you fucking retarded? You must be dumber than I thought. How do you know the C5 that ran the will time was stock? Was the motor taken apart? Was the brakes taken apart? Now SHUT THE FUCK UP CUM DRINKER.
@13tomabram When GM gives Motor-Trend a car for testing and says it's showroom stock, they had BETTER be telling the truth. If they modified the car in any way, and Motor-Trend can tel;, A few mag issues later, and GM's reputation would be in the toilet. So, when I see a lap-time posted by a major automotive publication, I'm 90% certain that the results posted are from a stock car (unless noted). I also know that they use the same drivers when they compare cars back-to-back. Get it?
@sydneyACE They use the same driver back to back? LMFAO!!! So the guy that tested an 05 C5 is the same guy testing an 12 C6? LOL Yeah right. Slim chance.
@13tomabram I said "they use the same drivers when they compare cars back-to-back". You know what "back-to-back" means right? In-case you don't, "back to back" means one right after the other. Mags usually test lap-times between cars on the same day or withing a couple-day span. That's a back to back comparison. Common sense sould tell-you that a two tests CANNOT be considered "back to back" if they happend 7 years apart.
@sydneyACE ok dickhead. So you are telling me you cant compare a C5 to a C6 cause the C5 was tested years ago? What a fucking toolbag you are. Of course you can. Lap times prove it. Get it genius. DO you know what a lap time is? Oh yeah, you dont believe it cause the car could of been modded. LOL
@13tomabram That's not what I'm saying at all. I would be very simple to compare a C5 to a C6. People just don't do it very often in a back-to-back setting. The point I'm trying to make is that a back-to-back comparison is the one you really need to look-at. That way you can see results when the cars are driven by the same drivers. The driver IS the most important variable right?? So shouldn't a comparison between two cars be made with the same guy behind the wheel??
@sydneyACE Nope wrong. The #'s between the 2 cars arent even close. So dont matter if it was the same driver. C6 is the faster and better car. Hands down. C5 is old news.
@13tommy1 I think what it basically boils-down to here is your definition of the terms "not even close" and "miles better" are very different than mine. You seem to be prone to exaggeration, so I'm going to assume that's what's going-on here. To me 3-4 seconds on a track over 2.2 miles long is "pretty close". With that, I'm also CERTAIN that performance pads and tires are worth AT LEAST 5 seconds on a track that long and with heavy braking-zones like Laguna has.
@sydneyACE Nope again. Again. And BULLSHIT!!! You NEVER stepped foot on a track in your life. No way no how. If you think 4 seconds per lap isnt much. Its fucking HUGE!! Ask ANY person that races. Like I said before, in a normal race you would get LAPPED with the C5. You think that is close? Being over a full lap behind in a race? LOL You MUST be smoking crack. A full second per lap is a big amount. 4 seconds is pathetic.
@13tomabram LOL!!! "All tracks are free for all." and "Nobody works at any track." HAHAHA!!! You're calling ME a "stupid fuck"? LOL! If all tracks were a "free for all", then you could just take your Metro to Laguna and run a few laps any-time you like right? Wouldn't cost you anything, and nobody would be around to stop you since "nobody works there" right? Do you really think they just let these manufacturers have the whole track to themselves all-day for free?
@sydneyACE Yes YOU are a stupid fuck. YOU are the one saying there are NO track officials. NOBODY checks out the cars. NOBODY times the laps. SO in YOUR mind, the track is a free for all. And NOBODY works there.
YOU moron need to read your comments BEFORE posting. And yes officials at the ring DO a vehicle inspection. But as you would say? "So you're saying there is someone there employed by who? The Nurburgring facility? LOL What an idiot.
@13tomabram I was ASKING YOU if there was somebody there checking the cars. You fail at reading comprehension. So you're saying now that there is in-fact somebody there (employed by the Nurburgring facility or some other sanctioning-body) to check the cars and ensure they are bone-stock? Is that what you are saying?
@13tomabram Way to totaly avoid my very direct, simple question. It's not my fault you can't read. The post where I was asking you is FULL of these little things -> ???? They are called question-marks. You use them when asking somebody a question. Simple right? (Oh look there's one now in-use!) I was asking you, if you knew that the cars timed at the ring were inspected. I wasn't telling you that nobody works at race-tracks dumbass.
@13tommy1 I'm not making any excuses as to why the C6 raped the C5. It's a faster car, hands-down. Not arguing that. The way manufacturers are posting these "official" lap-times at the Ring is completely subjective however. That's the whole point. If you read the rest of my comment, you would understand that. If you can't see why Ring lap-times are almost completely bunk, then there is no hope for you. Car&Driver's "Lightning Lap". Same driver and factory set-ups for ALL cars = Fair.
@sydneyACE Sorry pal but ALL the vettes run at the ring were factory set up. Guess you are trying to say the C6 Z06 cheated. Thats why it demolished the C5 Z06 by a light year. LMFAO!!! Keep making excuses. I have NEVER heard so many excuses from one guy on youtube. Give it up. The C6 is MILES ahead of the C5. Not even close. Trust me. I had them both.
@13tommy1 You REALLY don't read well do you? See the comment I made right above these ones? The one where I said: "I'm not making any excuses as to why the C6 raped the C5. It's a faster car, hands-down. Not arguing that." Puting words into my mouth again? Where did I say that GM cheated? I never said that! I'm saying ANYONE could cheat if they wanted to. You tell me which sanctioning body regulates these guys. How are these laps "official" when nobody is checking what's been done to the cars?
@13tommy1 Since you brought-up the Ring. GM ran the Z06 on the ring back in '05 and turned-out a 7:42.xx. They just ran the Z06 again with the "Z07" package and turned-out a 7:22.xx. That's a 20 second improvement! "What's the Z07 package?" you ask. Better tires, brakes, and magnetic suspension. Same car, same driver, better brakes, better tires 20sec faster. You can argue all you like, but tires/brakes make a HUGE difference. I still agree driver is #1, but brakes/tire are up-there close.
@sydneyACE You talk about upgrade of brake "pads". The Z07 package has just a bit more than brake pad upgrade. Basically the entire brake system has been upgraded. Pads, calipers, carbon rotors. Talking thousands of dollars. The tires didnt do much at all. The tire change on the ZR1 gave a gain of less than a 2 seconds which is nothing. So the suspension and brakes made the difference.
@13tommy1 As for the Vette "CLEARLY" pulling away in the straights, watch @ 2:20-2:45, the Vette gets a good run coming-off the corner and pulls ahead at the start of the straight, but midway down the straight the EVO is starting to gain on him BEFORE the Vette starts braking (notice when his lights come-on). Then the EVO is able to brake way harder/later and totally close the gap. Because his tires are gripping better, and brakes aren't fading.
@sydneyACE You must be joking. Its CLEARLY obvious the Z6 left off the gas. He would of kept pulling on him with ease. Its driver error. You really think hes going all out and then mashing the brakes? If you do then you really need to learn about these cars.
@13tommy1 While the Vette driver is clearly "new" and not very smooth, he does pull-off a few good lines and fast runs into the straights. Even when he does this, the EVO has little trouble keeping-up. This IMO is due to better tires and brakes (plus the added power) on the Evo. Like I said from the start, I agree that it's mostly driver, BUT good tires/brake help a TON. When I upgraded pads on my Vette, I gained about 5sec a lap (on a 2mile track), gained another 5sec with good tires.
@sydneyACE you need your eyes checked. The Z06 pulled 20+ car lenghts on the evo several times.
ANd no offense but your C5 isnt even in the same ball park as the C6 Z06. The stock brakes are extremely good. But for the track you will get fade from street brakes.
But like i said before, the driver is the problem. Not the car. He was all over the track. Think you need to watch the vid again.
@13tommy1 @ Willow Springs the C5 ran 1:36.3, C6 Z06 ran 1:32.06 a difference of 4.2s on a 2.5mile track. That's not much at-all. In my book that's the same ball-park. You must drive a C6 Z06, and track-it a lot. You seem to know a ton about-it. My buddy tracks his C6 with me so I have first-hand experience. The C6 brakes are better than the C5's but those guys still run Carbotechs because they get fade after a couple laps. No point continuing this pissing-match, pretty obvious we wont agree.
@sydneyACE Are you serious? Not much of a difference? LOL Thats a HUGE difference. In a 20 lap race you will be almost a full lap behind. On a small track like that 2 seconds is alot. 4 is a TON.
How about laguna seca? C6 Z06 ran a 1:34.43 KILLING the C5 Z06's time of 1:53.73. And on a small 2.2 mile track. You would be lapped in just 7 laps. Like I said, not even in the same ball park.
@13tommy1 Ok buddy, you're right, I'm wrong. You obviously know WAY more about Vettes than I do. Jeez! I only own one and track-it. I guess it's just my imagination that my C5 can run a faster lap-time (barely) than my buddy's C6. We both have about the same experience on the track. So his "totally different ballpark" C6 should just absolutely own me right. Our track is 2.1 miles, according to your supplied times, he should be about 15sec ahead of me every lap right?
@sydneyACE LOL A C5 can run a faster lap than a C6? LOL Yes I guess I do know more about vettes than you do. I have owned 6 of them so far. Starting with an 02. Show me ANYWHERE a lap time for a C5 is quicker than a C6. You even told me its over 4 seconds SLOWER at willow.
How come at laguna the c5 was almost 20 seconds SLOWER per lap? Thats embarrassing.
@13tommy1 A C5 with Carbotechs and Potenza RE-760 S (+20mm width over-stock) vs factory C6. With the same driver, the C5 will be faster on 90% of tracks. Unless the track has a VERY long straight. This I know from personal experience. What evidence do you have to the contrary, since I'm a "liar"?
@13tommy1 HAHAHA!!! You really ARE full of shit! I just found your "lap times" comparing the "C6" to the "C5". Found at "fastestlapsDOTcom"
You compared the time of a C6 Z06 WITH the Z07 package against a Stock C5 Z06 that RAN IN THE RAIN on a WET TRACK!! LOL!!! See the little "w" after the time? LOL!!! Wow! yeah, that seems like a good comparison of times lol! I asked the guys over at the Vette forums because they have lots of experience lapping these cars:
@sydneyACE look jerk off dont be upset cause the C6 KILLED the C5 by 20 seconds. Thats pathetic. And well over a minute in the ring. I could careless about you suppose hearsay of your dumb forum bullshit. Im stating cold hard facts. C5 as raped dry every time. LOL Get over it. Stop comparing your 12 second car to a 10 second car. Thats ridicilous.
@13tomabram Yeah 20 seconds when the C5 was running on a WET track lol! Nice try. The REAL difference is more-like 3-4 seconds. If you compare DRY lap-times between the 2 you will see a consistent 3-4 second gap. OBVIOUSLY the ridiculous 20 second gap you found is not a credible comparison. Now is it?
@13tommy1 Laguna's not "tiny". According to the guys that race Vettes (C5 and C6) the real difference in lap-times is about 3 seconds at Laguna. If you do the math, (I know it's not your strong point) A C6 running 1:38 vs a C5 running 1:41, it would take over 32 laps for a C6 to lap a C5. Most SCCA races are less than 28 laps. So, I don't see the C5 getting lapped in a normal race. Sorry... I know you really want to make me feel bad becaus my car is so crappy, but I love my car.
@sydneyACE The C5 is at LEAST 4 seconds behind the C6 with the same driver. SO there you go. A lap and a half behind in the race. Not even in the same league buddy. Stop being in denial. You just got lapped with ease. LOL
@sydneyACE And really, I dont give a fuck about how you feel about your outdated car. Its not mine so why would I care? I dont give a shit about you or your car. Stay in your own little world. But your world will ALWAYS be behind the C6 pack. LOL Enjoy losing.
@sydneyACE in the rain? LOL You fucking LIAR!!! Yet ANOTHER Lie. Anyone please go to fastlaps and look up the C5 time for both the 02 and 03 models. BOTH ran a 1:30. Even getting raped by a fucking cadillac. Getting KILLED by 20 seconds by the C6. Wet track my fucking big black nigger dick. Only thing wet is your moms cunt when I go see her. Fucking lying piece of shit.
@13tomabram You said the C5Z ran a 1:53.73 at Seca. Did you or did you not? When I tried to find where you came-up with that time I found it on FastestlapsDOTcom. Guess what? There is a little "w" at the end of the time. Do you know what that means? It means the track was WET. Now don't sit there and try and tell me that a lap-time between a dry-lap and a wet-lap is a fair comparison. Where did I lie? You're the one whos credibility is questionable.
@13tommy1 Well your "official" time is a wet lap so, If it makes you feel better to compare a "crappy" C5 to a C6 using a wet lap vs a dry one, go right ahead. Sadly for you, your comparison will be a joke to anyone with half a brain. LOL! If it makes you feel better to know that all that $ you spent wasn't wasted by gaining 3 seconds a lap when you upgraded to your C6, then go right-ahead and tell yourself it was worth-it buddy. To me (and anyone else that knows cars) you're a joke.
@sydneyACE Where is these imaginary 3 seconds coming from? I am not talking about quarter mile times here moron. LOL And I wasted money by buying a new car? LOL Yet ANOTHER comment shows your a jealous hater. What about YOU wasting money on your C5? Could of got a standard used old C5 and upgraded it to rape your Z06 and save a ton of cash. LOL Moron.
@13tommy1 I already told you where I came-up with the 3 second time. It seems like I need to tell you everything at least 4 times before you even START to comprehend. So here-goes. Those times came from the Vette forum from guys who track/race thier cars and posted-up thier lap-times at Laguna. Vette forum Vette forum Vette forum Vette forum. Maybe that will save me from having to tell you again lol! Doubt-it though...
@sydneyACE Yep yet ANOTHER one of your made up #'s. The C6 was always at LEAST 4 seconds ahead PER lap. And alot of time MUCH more. 4 being the least. So now STFU!!!!
@13tommy1 Are you seriously squabling over 1 second? LOL! Well at least it's not 20 anymore. You thought you would sneek-in a wet lap-time to make the C5 look-bad lol! Now it's backfired on-you and you're back-pedaling trying to act like you didn't say that. Or do you REALLY think it's a legitimate comparison? 1 car on a wet track and the other on a dry track? LOL!
@sydneyACE one second? Again, 1 full second is alot on the track. A 30 lap race where would you be? Not even close to the front. LOL Again. you lost you lied. And yes the C5 got raped by 20 seconds. LOL But you failed yet again pathetic liar. Now go waste more $ on your outdated car.
@13tommy1 If I was lapping 1 second behind another car lap-after-lap, in a 30 lap race I would be 30 seconds behind. See? I'm pretty good at math, unlike you...
So you're back to claiming a 20 sec diff @ Luguna huh? Is it normal for you to think comparing a dry-lap to a wet-lap is somehow conclusive? If so, then that would explain a lot lol!!
@sydneyACE OMFG!!! AGAIN ANOTHER LIE!!! YOU SAID YOU HAD A Z06. NOW YOU HAVE A STANDARD C5? MAKE UP YOUR MIND. But like they say, its hard to keep lying and not get caught up in it. LOL
@13tommy1 Another lie? LOL! On-top of the multitude I have told so-far right? (sarcasm) LOL! I guess you will have to read-through the comments, yet again, and find where I said I owned a Z06. I'll wait... LOL! Just to save you some time, I never said I did, you are confused, as usual. It must be really hard having to read-stuff over and over again because you are unable to comprehend-it the first-time around. I'm sorry man, I feel bad for you...
@sydneyACE yes you did. So now you are saying your standard C5 runs a track faster than a C6 Z06? LOL OMFG!!!!! Please. Now you REALLY are sounding like a COMPLETE toolbag. This must be a joke.
And in this case, YOUR car is about 10-15 secnds behind on all the tracks. Congrats, you are now getting lapped three times per race. LOL Moron.
@13tommy1 Huh? Where are you coming-up with this stuff? LOL! You are either one of the dumbest, most-ignorant person I've ever talked to, or you are the most succesful troll of all-time. If you are trolling me, Congratulations! You got me hook, line and sinker. In-case you aren't trolling me, and you just can't read-well;
I NEVER said I owned a Z06. I NEVER said a "standard" (I'm assuming you mean "stock") C5 was faster than a C6Z.
@13tommy1 You don't get to just PRETEND that I said things I didn't. That's not how this works. Things I've ACTUALLY said that you can't seem to get-right:
I own a C5 with Carbotech pads and performance tires, and I can lap-it faster than my (equally-skilled) friend driving his C6. (Never did I say C6Z.)
The driver IS the #1 variable when comparing lap-times between 2 cars, BUT brakes and tire make a HUGE difference as well. More than you give them credit for.
@sydneyACE now change the cars when you are proved wrong. LOL Who the fuck cares about your "friends" car? I was ALWAYS talking about the car in the video. Nice try but you still fail. You MUST be a kid. END of story. Dont bother to reply again. YOU FAIL!!
@13tommy1 Now you're giving-up because you realized I'm right? LOL! Sounds about right. I knew you would never admit to being wrong, but to see you give-up because you've been beaten is almost as satifying. I NEVER said I owned a Z06, I NEVER said a stock C5 was faster than any kind C6, and I NEVER said the driver wasn't the #1 variable when lapping a car on-track. It's pretty sad that you had to lie, and now you have to quit because you know you lied, and you know I'm right.
@sydneyACE I lied? Now AGAIN thats ANOTHER lie. You dont fucking quit do you fuckface? SO obvious why the GTR guys hate Vette owners. Dumb fucktards like you. Keep lying. You lost, you got proved wrong, you made dozens of excuses and endless lies. Thats enough. Fucking dumb kid that never even had a vette in his life. Now go troll somewhere else. Faggot.
@13tommy1 YOU make it VERY obvious why GT-R guys hate Vette guys. You have been slinging insults and profanity pretty-much since the begining over a simple dissagreement. You have put words into my mouth so many times I can't even count them all. I know you can't see what videos I've been watching because if you could, you would see a multitude of Vette videos. I'm not sure what you consider a kid, but I have a couple of kids myself so I'm not that young.
@sydneyACE NEVER put words in your mouth. You came on here trolling people. You want to dissagree with a FACT that I said? Thats fine. But dont make yourself look like a dumb fuck and argue facts. Typical Vette fanboy. What else is new?
@sydneyACE NEVER put words in your mouth. You came on here trolling people. You want to dissagree with a FACT that I said? Thats fine. But dont make yourself look like a dumb fuck and argue facts. Typical Vette fanboy. What else is new?
@13tommy1 If you're all-over the intrernet slinging your hatred and insults I'm sure the number of people that hate us Vette owners is growing by the minute. It's interesting to me that you insult someone because they own a car you have owned yourself. You can call me a liar all you want, but I have proof of pretty-much everything I have claimed.
@sydneyACE Proof? LOL Go back and see how many time you contradicted yourself. You (typical vette fanboy) call them "mistakes". LOL Enough trolling dumb troll boy.
@13tomabram I haven't contradicted myself once. You're the one contradicting yourself. I'm summarizing things you said here so no need to call me a liar. You: "Driver is #1 variable" "Nurburgring is great for comparing cars EVEN though they use different drivers"... "C5 was 20s slower at Laguna" "C5 is 4s slower than C6 at Laguna"... Which is it?? You even tried to compare some BS lap-time ran in the wet with another one ran in the dry, and I'M the liar?? LOL!
@sydneyACE Yes you contradicted yourself at least 5 times. According to you, I guess basically every test done on cars is a joke because different drivers are being used. LOL Should we have ONE guy test ALL the cars out there? Thats the DUMBEST thing you can say. So according to YOU, a C4 vette could be better than a C6 ZR1. Who would ever know?? Different drivers tested them. OMFG!!!
@13tomabram You can take things I have said out of context all you like. The whole point was about Nurburgring and how all the times are pretty-much worthless. People are splitting-hairs and claiming that "OMG the GTR is SOOO much faster than the LFA because it beat-it by 3 seconds!" 3 seconds on a 13 mile track!? With two different drivers?! I'm sorry but that's just not conclusive of anything.
@13tomabram When you watch the Ring video, you can find a couple spots where Mero makes a mistake here, and there. Don't get me wrong, he did a GREAT job, but a few mistakes on a track that size can add-up. Especially when you have to lift for a half-second coming onto a straight because you went full-throttle too soon. It's absolutely crazy to me to see people bickering over a couple seconds on a track that long! What if driver A made 3 mistakes and driver B made 7 mistakes? Get it?
@13tommy1 You understand perfectly what I'm saying, you're just to stuborn to admit-it. Which driver was behind the wheel, and the weather on the day, can make a HUGE difference in lap times at the Ring. (Not to mention whatever subtle changes the manufacturers might have made to the car before they ran-it.) If you think Ring times are somehow official or there is some standard, you're living in a fantasy world.
@sydneyACE Holy fucking shit!!! The cars are run STOCK unless noted you dumb fuck. Weather? LOL The cars make tons of runs on the track on different days you stupid moron.
Yes the ring time are official, and it IS the standard for testing cars. You must live in a closet idiot.
Maybe you should google official nurburgring lap times. Someday you may understand. Your either too dumb or stupid.
@sydneyACE No link found. Maybe cause it a 4 year old article? LOL ANd what does that have to do with anything? Who says you wonderful top gear cant cheat? OMFG!! One day you may get the point. DUmbass. Like I said before. END OF STORY. You lose.
@13tommy1 You find ONE place where I said Top Gear was wonderful. Find ONE place where I complimented them AT ALL! You expect to have any credibility when you canstantly put words into my mouth? You can't manage to find my link huh? So predictable... I'll make-it easy for you. Step 1: Go to Google. (You can manage that right?) Step 2: Type-in; "Avoidable Contact #17: Cheating Nissan, Bitter Porsche". Step 3: Click the top link and read the article. Easy...
@sydneyACE What does that have to do with an official lap time? NOTHING!!! Just like I thought. You compared top gear. DO you know they didnt cheat or fix teh times? No you dont. So again. You fail. Now go back to sucking that dick faggot.
@13tommy1 Why don't you tell me what the article said tough-guy? "What does that have to do with an official lap time?" LOL!!! You are so dense! The whole article was describing all kinds of different reasons WHY the times aren't official! That's the whole point. How can you read that and then come here and ask; "What does that have to do with an official lap time?"!? The whole article TOLD you! I can't spell it-out ANY simpler for your dumb-ass!
@sydneyACE because a hater company (porsche) got their car beat by another car so that obviously means someone cheated. And that means there is no such thing as an official time. LOL moron.. FUCK OFF END OF DISCUSSION!!! YOU FAIL
@13tommy1 Last I checked Porsche was faster than the GT-R on the "Official" list on Wiki lol! (I dunno though, I better refresh, something might have changed since 5 min ago when I looked at the "official" site lol! Nissan might have turned-in another "official" time lol!). So which is it? Is the GT-R or the GT2 RS faster? LOL! Wait lemme go check the "official" lap-time list (for SOME strange reason it's on Wiki) hahahaha!!
@13tomabram Look at the Top Gear track times as a perfect example. They have a board where they timed F1 drivers. The "Stig" (who is an F1 driver) has been around that track probably thousands of times got beat by 2 seconds by a driver who only had a few laps around in the same car. They are both profesional drivers, both drove in F1, yet they had a big skill disparity and lap-time disparity on a track less than 2 miles long. You see the problem?
@sydneyACE Top gear? LOL Are you kidding me? You just PROVED to me how biased they are. Guess you have been living in a closet for the past 20 years. Nice try with the most biased auto testing show on the planet. Nice job.
@13tommy1 You're missing the point. I know Top Gear is biased on a lot of things. I was pointing-out that just because everyone who laps on the Ring is a "professional", DOESN'T mean that they are equaly-skilled. If the difference between 2 F1 drivers on a track less than 2 miles is 2 seconds, how would that translate to a 13 mile track? You can't honestly tell me you think all the different drivers who run at the Ring are equaly skilled can you?
@sydneyACE OMFG!!!!! Please. Give it a rest. You make ZERO sense. The cars in the ring are run to their max capability. LEARN HOW TO FUCKING READ MY COMMENTS BEFORE SAYING THEY SAME SHIT OVER AND OVER!! You dont need the best pro driver in the world to take a street car to its limits. ANY pro driver would have NO problem with it. That being said, the ring is an EXCELLENT standard for testing cars. END OF STORY.
@13tommy1 The key-word there is TESTING. Yes, it's great for TESTING cars, NOT COMPARING them. You understand the difference right? Do you seriously think "ANY pro driver would have NO problem" turning-in the best possible lap-time? You started this whole deal telling me that the driver was the #1 variable when comparing two cars, now all of a sudden, it doesn't matter?? C'mon man! You're in denyal for sure.
@sydneyACE Again DIRECTLY FROM A WELL KNOWN SOURCE.
"Nurburgring lap times have become the gold standard by which modern day performance cars are measured and compared. The famed “Green Hell” features technical elements of all sorts and is widely considered the toughest, most dangerous, and most demanding purpose-built racing circuits in the world. It has therefore become a test track for auto manufacturers, and its demanding layout had been traditionally used as a proving ground."
@sydneyACE OMFG!!! Pro drivers are a little bit different than the average driver dumbass. ANY pro driver is capable of pushing a street car to its limits. An average driver can not. So during testing in the ring, ANY pro driver will do. Wont matter. Get your head out of your ass. Pro driver, average driver. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE. You lose. END OF DISCUSSION. you failed. Get over it and move on. Moron.
@sydneyACE Yep, ANY I repeat ANY pro driver that knows the course will have NO problem running the best lap time. DO you think they run 1 lap you fucktard? They run HUNDREDS and even THOUSANDS of laps with the same car. IDIOT!!! Learn about the ring, the track and cars. Then come back and comment. Until then, fuck off.
@13tommy1 Read the article I posted for you. It was written by a profesional racer, who knows a LOT more about lapping a car than you ever will. There are a TON of similar articles around if you do a search. There's a reason so many profesionals are being so critical of the so-called "official" Ring lap-times. *I'll give you a hint, it's because there's nothing official about them.* "Until then, fuck off." "Derp!" Ooooo! You sound so tough! LOL!
@sydneyACE Dont be upset because you have been proven wrong yet again. The ring has hundreds of official lap times. Just like every track in the world dumbass. Learn about cars moron. Until then, go fuck yourself. Dumb troll.
@13tommy1 "Until then, go fuck yourself." LOL! You really do sound really tough! Yikes! LOL! Obviously you're the one who's upset. If you had read the article you would realize you have NO argument left. It CLEARLY explains what constitutes an OFFICAIL lap-time. The ones the manufacturers report THEMSELVES don't meet any of those requirements.
@sydneyACE ALERT!!!!! ALL manufacturers use exceptional drivers when testing. The ring was done by PRO drivers. DUHHH Im sure a pro driver can handle a stock street car with no problem. They can push the car to its limits in their sleep. So your "logic" about different drivers just went out the window.
@13tomabram Since you can see what I've been watching, why don't you tell me what else I've been watching? Wait! Am I an Evo fan or Vette fan? Which is it. Is there something wrong with being a Vette fan?
@13tomabram Nice! I didn't know you could do that! I figured if I called you out on-it you would prove it. So now that we've established that you CAN see what I've whatched, you should be able to look and see how many Evo videos I've actually whatched. I don't recall actually clicking "like" on any of them.
@13tommy1 How did you "get me again"? You said I had been watching SEVERAL Evo vids, and I have "liked" a bunch too. Just because I didn't know you could see someone's watching history, doesn't mean you "got me" on anything. I found it hard to believe because you were wrong about what I've been watching. It seems you lied about me watching and liking "SEVERAL" Evo videos now doesn't it? It's funny when you call ME a liar. LOL!
@sydneyACE You said I couldnt see what you were watching. LOL I PROVED you wrong yet AGAIN. Now get over it. Your wrong. I proved it several times. Now go suck a dick.
@13tommy1 Answer the question! How MANY Evo vids have I favorited?? How many have I liked?? How many have I watched?? You LIED about it! THAT'S why I thought you couldn't see what I had been watching. I thought that if you actually COULD you would have known that what you were saying was BS. I guess you KNEW it was BS and you said-it anyway didn't you?
@sydneyACE Nice try from a moron that keeps watching AND favoriting all those EVO vids. PS. We can see what you are watching you dumb fuck. LOL Vette owner my ass. ANother lie. But its expected from a dumb kid.
@13tommy1 The times manufacturers run at Nurburgring aren't a good, consistent, conclusive way to compare different cars. Because they use different drivers of varying skill-levels in different conditions, etc.
@13tommy1 I COULD HAVE bought a used C5 and upgraded-it. Funny, because that's exactly what I have done. I spent $17k on a used C5, tracked-it. Found the brakes faded WAY too easily. I put Carbotechs on-it tracked-it some more. Decided some stickier tires would be next. After tires and brakes, my car went from 2:05-ish down to low 1:50's. My friends stock C6 runs mid 1:50's. My total investment? About $19k. His car cost? $40k. I'd say I didn't waste a dime.
z06 driver needs practice

Nice driving in the EVO but that vette driver needs a bit of practice!!!

awd ftw pluse all u muscle junkies dont worry for this tracks evo and sti r meant to shine
nochasting 2 weeks ago
its fairly obvious that the person in the ZO6 has less track time than the evo. if both drivers were of equal skill id put my money on the ZO6

EVO had a good driver and the vette had a "text and driver" LOL
SwordLords1234 1 month ago
Seems like the Evo had a better driver then the Vette. The vetter should of walked away with the extra 100hp.
allboostnojuice 1 month ago
@allboostnojuice the evo has 400 hp to the tires, the 505 hp is the crank hp. the corvette z06 dynos at around 430 hp at the tires,(check my channel, that's what ours made before we threw a built ls7 into it) the evo is a bit lighter and has a bit less hp, on the straights they were nearly even. i agree with the better driver comment though, the vettes driving line was erratic at best
E5Ridez 1 month ago
@KTKisLife, Rookie is right man. He's having to take advantage of that extra 100hp to just stay ahead of you. Just a 4cyl jap sedan? The Evo has always been more than just a sedan.
aaotech2 1 month ago 2
@aaotech2 Yea, anybody who is knowledgeable about cars will know what an Evo is capable of. I just don't want to feed the trolls trying to defend one side in the American vs Japanese debate :P
KTKisLife 1 month ago
@aaotech2 Clearly even with a bad driver the vette is still the better car
O5corvettels2 1 month ago
@aaotech2 the Z06 has 30 more hp than this evo. No way 100 more.
13tommy1 1 month ago
Try A Z06 ? It smokes a Gay TR at the Ring .... I have to admit ? you are a pretty good driver ....
darryleshelly 1 month ago
The Gay TR Sucks !
darryleshelly 1 month ago
Well obviously the rookie in the the Z06 had the better car , you are just a wannabe in a 4 door compact lols ...
darryleshelly 1 month ago
@darryleshelly Ya the Z06 definitely the better track car platform. It has a lower center of gravity, it has huge 14" 6 piston brakes, 275 width tires up front and 325s in the back, forged aluminum control arms, carbon fiber fenders, aluminum frame, 7.0L aluminum block LS7 427, titanium con rods, titanium exhaust valves, CNC head, dry sump lubrication, can rev out to 7000rpm all stock. This vid is not about which is better, its just me chasing that monster in daily driven 4cyl jap sedan.
KTKisLife 1 month ago
@KTKisLife LOL! Yeah, that "4cyl jap sedan" sure does manage to do pretty-well. Don't worry too much about guys trying to diss on your car. It's very fast, and you handle-it well. I'm a Vette driver myself and it makes me sad to see other Vette drivers attempt to discredit good cars like yours by claiming that it's "ALL DRIVER". You are a good driver, but we both know that's only part of the equation here. It just sucks that people develop such stereotypes by saying stuff like that.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
well its all about driver in this case. The Z06 would rape an Evo on the track.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 While the driver IS the most important part of the equation, I have to dissagree with you a bit. I don't know how much road-racing experience you have, but I can tell you from my experience some parts make a HUGE difference.
Brakes make a huge difference on the track. Being able to brake late consistently is probably #1 for turning-in good laps.
Tires are the other big-one, for obvious reasons.
Between these two cars, same driver, the one with brakes and tires will be faster.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE well i disagree with YOU a bit. Brakes only take you so far. Wont do a thing up against a car that handles miles better than the next. (as in the z06 handles miles better than the evo) There is more of a difference in handling than there is with brakes. Brakes wont be able to make up the difference.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 I own a Vette, my buddy has a C6 Z06. I have driven both, I track mine a few times every year and see EVOs once in a while. I can tell you for sure, the Z06 handling isn't "miles better" than an EVO. EVOs handle VERY well. If you do a search on slalom times, you will find that some tests put the Z06 ahead and some put the EVO ahead. I'm certain, that with the same driver, an EVO would be faster with tires and brakes, and vise-versa if the Vette had the tires and brakes.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tommy1 If anything, this video is proof of that. The driver of this EVO has said that he was taking a "bad" line. His 400whp helps to close the gap, but the Z06 is still around 450whp. If the power to weight ratio is similar, and the EVO driver is running "sub-par" lines, to what do you attribute the EVOs abbility to keep-up and pass this Z06? The Z06 driver's lines are not bad. So, why is this EVO so fast? Good tires, good brakes. No offence to KTKisLife, but it's not ALL driver.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE ANYONE can mod a car to the hilt to make it go faster. Stock for stock yes the Z06 is MILES or should I say, hundreds of miles ahead of the evo. And since you say you track your car several time a year you should of known that following someone is ALOT easier than leading. Also you talk about power to weight ratio. This is a low speed track with a ton of slow turns. HP isnt worth dick in those situations. It the torque which is key. Z06 has it, the evo dosent.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Where did the evo pass the Z06? You must be watching another video. Didnt happen. His 400whp helped close the gap? LOL Again you must be watching a different video. The Z06 CLEARLY pulls away in the straights. Watch the video again. Its on the turns the evo starts to catch up. Obviously the Z06 driver isnt that good. Driver is to blame. Look at ANY lap times with pro drivers on both cars. The Z06 rapes the Evo bad, very bad.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Z06 waived the EVO by right at the end of the vid. You understand the definition of "helps" right? I didn't say the EVO was faster in the straights, maybe you could show me where I did? What I meant was the 400whp helps to close the overall performance gap that exists between the stock form of the two cars. Obviously the Vette driver is inexperienced and that contributes to a good bit of the reason why the EVO can keep-up so easily but...
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tommy1 There are several parts in the video where the inexperienced Vette driver takes a better line AND gets a good run onto the straight, and the EVO is still right on his ass. Watch @ 1:57-2:10, the Vette's line isn't perfect, but it's better than the EVO's (no offence KTKisLife, I know you were playin). The EVO doesn't start on the outside edge, apexes too early, then sits on the apex for like 5 seconds, and still has better mid-corner speed than the Vette.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE again LOL At 1:57 the z06 is WAY wide. Are you kiddng me? And he didnt get on the gas much cause he would of went off the track.
Listen moron. I dont give a fuck what an inexperienced driver does with a fast car. Dosent make the OTHER car faster. Look at the track times of pro or near pro drivers. Take for example the ring. What happened there? The Evo runs in the 8:20 sec range. The Z06 runs in the 7:20 sec range. Not even in the same ball park bud.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 "Moron"? "fuck"? You have to go there? Insult and profanity def aren't justified. I've been respectful to you, no reason not to show me respect too. Just because we dissagree, doesn't mean hostility is required too. Don't get me started on the ring. It's an aweful benchmark with which to compare cars. WAY too many variables (drivers, conditions etc.). You ARE right in the fact that us trying to compare these 2 cars (one modded and the other unknown), driven by amatures is pointless.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Sorry but the ring is a GREAT way to benchmark cars. Variables? LOL Get the best driver to get the best time. Dont see ANY variable there. Conditions?? You can run the car over and over any time you like. SO your 2 so called variables just went out the window.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Ok, so if the fastest driver around the ring is "Fred" and "Fred" get's paid by company "A" to lap their car around the ring. "A" has several-hundred thousand to spend renting the track when it's not open to the public. This way they can get more laps, and Fred gets more experience in their car. "A" decides to swap-out the factory tires in-leu of some slicks for a good lap-time. Fred laps their car @ 7:20.0. Then company "B" comes along...
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE slicks? LOL Rented the track? LOL DO you have any more excuses why the C6 raped the C5? Again, show me a faster lap time in a C5.
And fred must of rented out willow to get within 5 seconds of the C6's time. BUT, STILL got raped by the C6. LOL
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Fred wont drive for "B" because they wont pay him as much as company "A". So "B" has to settle for "Joe" who's only been round the ring a few times. "B" also doesn't have hundreds of thousand to spare to rent the track multiple times for practice/research and so Joe can get enough laps to learn the best lines. They go out-there and give an honest effort anyhow (being honest they run the factory tires)...
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Joe laps company "B's" car @ 7:21.0. Now, you tell me which car is REALLY the faster car. You see the problem with Nurburgring comparisons? You can't just go and run whenever you like. Sure it's open to the public, and it's only like 15 euros, but the thing is jam-packed with tourists on holiday and stuff. There are no official sanctioning bodies to watch what is run (tires, brakes, etc.) so manufacturers can "cheat" a lot. There are WAY better ways to compare cars.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE OMFG!!! You are so much in denial. Guess those guys cheated at Laguna, willow and EVERY other track the C6 destroyed the C5. ANd stop being in denial of OFFICIAL ring lap times. NOBODY cheated. The track was CLEAR withthe best runs recorded. Thats why there is such thing as video. DUHHHH. Jesus christ. Stop defending your car. Its not NEARLY as fast.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Will those videos tell you what tires are on the car? Will they tell you what kind of brake-pads were used? How do you know certain cars didn't performance pads? How do you know Nissan didn't turn-up the boost on the GTR when they lapped-it? How is putting a more-experienced driver in one car and a less-experience driver in another a fair comparison? What makes these time "official"?! Answer those questions honestly, then tell me how those laps times are even close to "official".
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Jesus fucking christ!!!! The cars were STOCK off the factory floor. The car picked up 2 seconds with cup tires over the previous tire.
Blah blah blah. According to YOU then NO test done by ANYONE on ANY car is fair. Way 2 many variables according to you. Please. Enough excuses.
The fucking video moron showed it was a CLOSED track. No cars were running. DUHHHHHH
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram And jim mero ran the ZR1 with BOTH tires. 2 second difference. Next your gonna argue he was going easy with the better tires. LOL
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram You keep saying "excuses" like I'm trying to discredit the lap-times GM turned-out. I'm not, I think GM was being honest when they say that there cars are stock. What about everyone else? You just take everyone's word for-it that they are using showroom stock stuff? You still haven't addressed the fact that everyone uses different drivers. Remember our whole debate began because you claimed drivers are the #1 factor (and I agreed). That must not apply to the Ring huh?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram Yeah, a CLOSED track. How much do you suppose that costs? How much time do you think practicing/testing on an empty track is worth? Where did I say that they did these times on anything but? Seriously, stop putting words into my mouth, and stop with the insults and profanity. A driver is the #1 variable right? So how much time diff between a GOOD driver and a GREAT driver on a 13mile track? 10, 15 seconds? IF everyone used the same driver, then the Ring would be OK but they don't.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram You are very confused. I'm not arguing that the stock C5 and stock C6 are on-par. I've said that at least 3 times already. I'm trying to tell you that the times posted on the Ring using different drivers on different days, in different temperatures shouldn't be used to compare cars. I know everyone TIMED on a closed track, but how many practice/test on a closed track? You think a small company like Radical has enough $ to have the track to themselves for more than a few hours?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Then radical has even a BETTER car than what they tested. Cause it walked all over the C6 vettes. LOL Fuck head. Who give a FUCK about a radical? But its typical dumb fucks change the subject when they are wrong. Congratulations fucktard.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram Exactly my point! Now you're getting-it! Yay for you! If Radical's car really IS better than the time it posted, and the DRIVER they chose didn't run the best possible lap, then what does that say about Ring lap-times in general? I'll answer the question for you since you refuse to; The driver variable is FAR too great to call the times posted "conclusive" or "official". Nuff said. Thank you for proving my point for me.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE LOL You actually believe a company is going to post a time that isnt their best? You must be joking. If it wasent the best time they could muster they would NOT post up the time. DUHHHHHH Nice try. You are STILL wrong.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram YOU'RE the one that said it dumbass! YOU said if Radical used a driver that wasn't as good as another manufacturer, then thier lap-time would be worse than if they used a better driver. Or are we to assume that all the drivers used for the timing are equal? You already said driver is #1 variable right? So which is it? Is the driver important of not?! You're starting to contradict yourself.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE contradict myself? LOL Go back to your first DUMB comment. You said the brakes is what make the difference. You moron. I said driver in my FIRST comment dumb fuck.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram NO, NO, NO! My first comment to you said; While the driver IS the most important part of the equation, I have to dissagree with you a bit... but I can tell you from my experience some parts make a HUGE difference. Remember?! I NEVER said brakes were #1. You're puting words into my mouth, AGAIN.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tomabram Yes! You ARE contradicting yourself. You say that different drivers yield different times, but then you say Ring lap-times driven with DIFFERENT drivers are a "GREAT" way to compare cars. That makes no sense whatsoever. So, tell me, do different drivers on the Ring make a difference or not? Simple question, lets have an answer huh?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE LOL Guess the term "official" is bogus in your mind. You must be living in your own fantasy world. Might as well get a C3, 2, or 1. Cause you know the vettes just keep getting slower around the track. You are completely retarded. Face it. The C5 is a MUCH slower car around the track than the C6. Hands down. Bottom line. End of story.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Like I said, show me ANYWHERE a C5 ran a faster time than a C6. Im STILL waiting.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram Jim Mero is a Chassis engineer for GM with limited racing experience. Other manufacturers had Marc Basseng drive, who is a profesional GT driver from GERMANY. Hmmm I wonder who has more experience on the Ring? Marc probably grew-up driving out there. How can you put someone like that in a car VS Jim and say that it's a purely objective comparison between the CARS?!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE OMFG!!!
13tomabram 1 month ago
@sydneyACE who makes these times official? The track officials genius. DO you know anything? OMFG!!!
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram So you're saying there is someone there employed by who? The Nurburgring facility? And these "officials" check the car carefully to ensure they are to exact stock specifications? Do they remove the pads to make-sure they are factory? Did they check the springs in the wastegates of the turbo cars to ensure they haven't bumped-up boost? Do they dissassemble the engines to ensure bore and stroke are factory? Where is the Ring's official site that verifies the configurations and times?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE holy fucking shit. Are you fucking retarded? You must be dumber than I thought. How do you know the C5 that ran the will time was stock? Was the motor taken apart? Was the brakes taken apart? Now SHUT THE FUCK UP CUM DRINKER.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram When GM gives Motor-Trend a car for testing and says it's showroom stock, they had BETTER be telling the truth. If they modified the car in any way, and Motor-Trend can tel;, A few mag issues later, and GM's reputation would be in the toilet. So, when I see a lap-time posted by a major automotive publication, I'm 90% certain that the results posted are from a stock car (unless noted). I also know that they use the same drivers when they compare cars back-to-back. Get it?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE They use the same driver back to back? LMFAO!!! So the guy that tested an 05 C5 is the same guy testing an 12 C6? LOL Yeah right. Slim chance.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram I said "they use the same drivers when they compare cars back-to-back". You know what "back-to-back" means right? In-case you don't, "back to back" means one right after the other. Mags usually test lap-times between cars on the same day or withing a couple-day span. That's a back to back comparison. Common sense sould tell-you that a two tests CANNOT be considered "back to back" if they happend 7 years apart.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE ok dickhead. So you are telling me you cant compare a C5 to a C6 cause the C5 was tested years ago? What a fucking toolbag you are. Of course you can. Lap times prove it. Get it genius. DO you know what a lap time is? Oh yeah, you dont believe it cause the car could of been modded. LOL
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram That's not what I'm saying at all. I would be very simple to compare a C5 to a C6. People just don't do it very often in a back-to-back setting. The point I'm trying to make is that a back-to-back comparison is the one you really need to look-at. That way you can see results when the cars are driven by the same drivers. The driver IS the most important variable right?? So shouldn't a comparison between two cars be made with the same guy behind the wheel??
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Nope wrong. The #'s between the 2 cars arent even close. So dont matter if it was the same driver. C6 is the faster and better car. Hands down. C5 is old news.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 I think what it basically boils-down to here is your definition of the terms "not even close" and "miles better" are very different than mine. You seem to be prone to exaggeration, so I'm going to assume that's what's going-on here. To me 3-4 seconds on a track over 2.2 miles long is "pretty close". With that, I'm also CERTAIN that performance pads and tires are worth AT LEAST 5 seconds on a track that long and with heavy braking-zones like Laguna has.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Nope again. Again. And BULLSHIT!!! You NEVER stepped foot on a track in your life. No way no how. If you think 4 seconds per lap isnt much. Its fucking HUGE!! Ask ANY person that races. Like I said before, in a normal race you would get LAPPED with the C5. You think that is close? Being over a full lap behind in a race? LOL You MUST be smoking crack. A full second per lap is a big amount. 4 seconds is pathetic.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE NO THE RING AND ALL THE TRACKS ARE A FREE FOR ALL. NOBODY WORKS AT ANY TRACK. WHAT A STUPID FUCK YOU ARE.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram LOL!!! "All tracks are free for all." and "Nobody works at any track." HAHAHA!!! You're calling ME a "stupid fuck"? LOL! If all tracks were a "free for all", then you could just take your Metro to Laguna and run a few laps any-time you like right? Wouldn't cost you anything, and nobody would be around to stop you since "nobody works there" right? Do you really think they just let these manufacturers have the whole track to themselves all-day for free?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Yes YOU are a stupid fuck. YOU are the one saying there are NO track officials. NOBODY checks out the cars. NOBODY times the laps. SO in YOUR mind, the track is a free for all. And NOBODY works there.
YOU moron need to read your comments BEFORE posting. And yes officials at the ring DO a vehicle inspection. But as you would say? "So you're saying there is someone there employed by who? The Nurburgring facility? LOL What an idiot.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram I was ASKING YOU if there was somebody there checking the cars. You fail at reading comprehension. So you're saying now that there is in-fact somebody there (employed by the Nurburgring facility or some other sanctioning-body) to check the cars and ensure they are bone-stock? Is that what you are saying?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE now try and change your story, There is someone at all tracks moron. DUHHHHH
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram Way to totaly avoid my very direct, simple question. It's not my fault you can't read. The post where I was asking you is FULL of these little things -> ???? They are called question-marks. You use them when asking somebody a question. Simple right? (Oh look there's one now in-use!) I was asking you, if you knew that the cars timed at the ring were inspected. I wasn't telling you that nobody works at race-tracks dumbass.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tommy1 I'm not making any excuses as to why the C6 raped the C5. It's a faster car, hands-down. Not arguing that. The way manufacturers are posting these "official" lap-times at the Ring is completely subjective however. That's the whole point. If you read the rest of my comment, you would understand that. If you can't see why Ring lap-times are almost completely bunk, then there is no hope for you. Car&Driver's "Lightning Lap". Same driver and factory set-ups for ALL cars = Fair.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Sorry pal but ALL the vettes run at the ring were factory set up. Guess you are trying to say the C6 Z06 cheated. Thats why it demolished the C5 Z06 by a light year. LMFAO!!! Keep making excuses. I have NEVER heard so many excuses from one guy on youtube. Give it up. The C6 is MILES ahead of the C5. Not even close. Trust me. I had them both.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 You REALLY don't read well do you? See the comment I made right above these ones? The one where I said: "I'm not making any excuses as to why the C6 raped the C5. It's a faster car, hands-down. Not arguing that." Puting words into my mouth again? Where did I say that GM cheated? I never said that! I'm saying ANYONE could cheat if they wanted to. You tell me which sanctioning body regulates these guys. How are these laps "official" when nobody is checking what's been done to the cars?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Since you brought-up the Ring. GM ran the Z06 on the ring back in '05 and turned-out a 7:42.xx. They just ran the Z06 again with the "Z07" package and turned-out a 7:22.xx. That's a 20 second improvement! "What's the Z07 package?" you ask. Better tires, brakes, and magnetic suspension. Same car, same driver, better brakes, better tires 20sec faster. You can argue all you like, but tires/brakes make a HUGE difference. I still agree driver is #1, but brakes/tire are up-there close.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE You talk about upgrade of brake "pads". The Z07 package has just a bit more than brake pad upgrade. Basically the entire brake system has been upgraded. Pads, calipers, carbon rotors. Talking thousands of dollars. The tires didnt do much at all. The tire change on the ZR1 gave a gain of less than a 2 seconds which is nothing. So the suspension and brakes made the difference.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 As for the Vette "CLEARLY" pulling away in the straights, watch @ 2:20-2:45, the Vette gets a good run coming-off the corner and pulls ahead at the start of the straight, but midway down the straight the EVO is starting to gain on him BEFORE the Vette starts braking (notice when his lights come-on). Then the EVO is able to brake way harder/later and totally close the gap. Because his tires are gripping better, and brakes aren't fading.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE You must be joking. Its CLEARLY obvious the Z6 left off the gas. He would of kept pulling on him with ease. Its driver error. You really think hes going all out and then mashing the brakes? If you do then you really need to learn about these cars.
Watch 3:30-3:35 3:45-4:00 4:40-4:45. Tell me the Z06 isnt CLEARLY pulling away.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 While the Vette driver is clearly "new" and not very smooth, he does pull-off a few good lines and fast runs into the straights. Even when he does this, the EVO has little trouble keeping-up. This IMO is due to better tires and brakes (plus the added power) on the Evo. Like I said from the start, I agree that it's mostly driver, BUT good tires/brake help a TON. When I upgraded pads on my Vette, I gained about 5sec a lap (on a 2mile track), gained another 5sec with good tires.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE you need your eyes checked. The Z06 pulled 20+ car lenghts on the evo several times.
ANd no offense but your C5 isnt even in the same ball park as the C6 Z06. The stock brakes are extremely good. But for the track you will get fade from street brakes.
But like i said before, the driver is the problem. Not the car. He was all over the track. Think you need to watch the vid again.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 @ Willow Springs the C5 ran 1:36.3, C6 Z06 ran 1:32.06 a difference of 4.2s on a 2.5mile track. That's not much at-all. In my book that's the same ball-park. You must drive a C6 Z06, and track-it a lot. You seem to know a ton about-it. My buddy tracks his C6 with me so I have first-hand experience. The C6 brakes are better than the C5's but those guys still run Carbotechs because they get fade after a couple laps. No point continuing this pissing-match, pretty obvious we wont agree.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Are you serious? Not much of a difference? LOL Thats a HUGE difference. In a 20 lap race you will be almost a full lap behind. On a small track like that 2 seconds is alot. 4 is a TON.
How about laguna seca? C6 Z06 ran a 1:34.43 KILLING the C5 Z06's time of 1:53.73. And on a small 2.2 mile track. You would be lapped in just 7 laps. Like I said, not even in the same ball park.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Ok buddy, you're right, I'm wrong. You obviously know WAY more about Vettes than I do. Jeez! I only own one and track-it. I guess it's just my imagination that my C5 can run a faster lap-time (barely) than my buddy's C6. We both have about the same experience on the track. So his "totally different ballpark" C6 should just absolutely own me right. Our track is 2.1 miles, according to your supplied times, he should be about 15sec ahead of me every lap right?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE LOL A C5 can run a faster lap than a C6? LOL Yes I guess I do know more about vettes than you do. I have owned 6 of them so far. Starting with an 02. Show me ANYWHERE a lap time for a C5 is quicker than a C6. You even told me its over 4 seconds SLOWER at willow.
How come at laguna the c5 was almost 20 seconds SLOWER per lap? Thats embarrassing.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 A C5 with Carbotechs and Potenza RE-760 S (+20mm width over-stock) vs factory C6. With the same driver, the C5 will be faster on 90% of tracks. Unless the track has a VERY long straight. This I know from personal experience. What evidence do you have to the contrary, since I'm a "liar"?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tommy1 HAHAHA!!! You really ARE full of shit! I just found your "lap times" comparing the "C6" to the "C5". Found at "fastestlapsDOTcom"
You compared the time of a C6 Z06 WITH the Z07 package against a Stock C5 Z06 that RAN IN THE RAIN on a WET TRACK!! LOL!!! See the little "w" after the time? LOL!!! Wow! yeah, that seems like a good comparison of times lol! I asked the guys over at the Vette forums because they have lots of experience lapping these cars:
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE look jerk off dont be upset cause the C6 KILLED the C5 by 20 seconds. Thats pathetic. And well over a minute in the ring. I could careless about you suppose hearsay of your dumb forum bullshit. Im stating cold hard facts. C5 as raped dry every time. LOL Get over it. Stop comparing your 12 second car to a 10 second car. Thats ridicilous.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram Yeah 20 seconds when the C5 was running on a WET track lol! Nice try. The REAL difference is more-like 3-4 seconds. If you compare DRY lap-times between the 2 you will see a consistent 3-4 second gap. OBVIOUSLY the ridiculous 20 second gap you found is not a credible comparison. Now is it?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Again, 4 seconds is HUGE on a tiny track like that. In a race your C5 would be lapped by the C6. Thats pathetic.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Laguna's not "tiny". According to the guys that race Vettes (C5 and C6) the real difference in lap-times is about 3 seconds at Laguna. If you do the math, (I know it's not your strong point) A C6 running 1:38 vs a C5 running 1:41, it would take over 32 laps for a C6 to lap a C5. Most SCCA races are less than 28 laps. So, I don't see the C5 getting lapped in a normal race. Sorry... I know you really want to make me feel bad becaus my car is so crappy, but I love my car.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE The C5 is at LEAST 4 seconds behind the C6 with the same driver. SO there you go. A lap and a half behind in the race. Not even in the same league buddy. Stop being in denial. You just got lapped with ease. LOL
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE And really, I dont give a fuck about how you feel about your outdated car. Its not mine so why would I care? I dont give a shit about you or your car. Stay in your own little world. But your world will ALWAYS be behind the C6 pack. LOL Enjoy losing.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE in the rain? LOL You fucking LIAR!!! Yet ANOTHER Lie. Anyone please go to fastlaps and look up the C5 time for both the 02 and 03 models. BOTH ran a 1:30. Even getting raped by a fucking cadillac. Getting KILLED by 20 seconds by the C6. Wet track my fucking big black nigger dick. Only thing wet is your moms cunt when I go see her. Fucking lying piece of shit.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram You said the C5Z ran a 1:53.73 at Seca. Did you or did you not? When I tried to find where you came-up with that time I found it on FastestlapsDOTcom. Guess what? There is a little "w" at the end of the time. Do you know what that means? It means the track was WET. Now don't sit there and try and tell me that a lap-time between a dry-lap and a wet-lap is a fair comparison. Where did I lie? You're the one whos credibility is questionable.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE yep. That is their OFFICIAL time. WHen you find another time then give me the link. Im waiting. yawn.............
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Well your "official" time is a wet lap so, If it makes you feel better to compare a "crappy" C5 to a C6 using a wet lap vs a dry one, go right ahead. Sadly for you, your comparison will be a joke to anyone with half a brain. LOL! If it makes you feel better to know that all that $ you spent wasn't wasted by gaining 3 seconds a lap when you upgraded to your C6, then go right-ahead and tell yourself it was worth-it buddy. To me (and anyone else that knows cars) you're a joke.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Where is these imaginary 3 seconds coming from? I am not talking about quarter mile times here moron. LOL And I wasted money by buying a new car? LOL Yet ANOTHER comment shows your a jealous hater. What about YOU wasting money on your C5? Could of got a standard used old C5 and upgraded it to rape your Z06 and save a ton of cash. LOL Moron.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 I already told you where I came-up with the 3 second time. It seems like I need to tell you everything at least 4 times before you even START to comprehend. So here-goes. Those times came from the Vette forum from guys who track/race thier cars and posted-up thier lap-times at Laguna. Vette forum Vette forum Vette forum Vette forum. Maybe that will save me from having to tell you again lol! Doubt-it though...
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Yep yet ANOTHER one of your made up #'s. The C6 was always at LEAST 4 seconds ahead PER lap. And alot of time MUCH more. 4 being the least. So now STFU!!!!
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Are you seriously squabling over 1 second? LOL! Well at least it's not 20 anymore. You thought you would sneek-in a wet lap-time to make the C5 look-bad lol! Now it's backfired on-you and you're back-pedaling trying to act like you didn't say that. Or do you REALLY think it's a legitimate comparison? 1 car on a wet track and the other on a dry track? LOL!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE one second? Again, 1 full second is alot on the track. A 30 lap race where would you be? Not even close to the front. LOL Again. you lost you lied. And yes the C5 got raped by 20 seconds. LOL But you failed yet again pathetic liar. Now go waste more $ on your outdated car.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 If I was lapping 1 second behind another car lap-after-lap, in a 30 lap race I would be 30 seconds behind. See? I'm pretty good at math, unlike you...
So you're back to claiming a 20 sec diff @ Luguna huh? Is it normal for you to think comparing a dry-lap to a wet-lap is somehow conclusive? If so, then that would explain a lot lol!!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Your car is even SLOWER than that. 10 seconds around the track. LOL
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE no lets compare a C6 Z06 to a standard C5. LOL
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE OMFG!!! AGAIN ANOTHER LIE!!! YOU SAID YOU HAD A Z06. NOW YOU HAVE A STANDARD C5? MAKE UP YOUR MIND. But like they say, its hard to keep lying and not get caught up in it. LOL
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Another lie? LOL! On-top of the multitude I have told so-far right? (sarcasm) LOL! I guess you will have to read-through the comments, yet again, and find where I said I owned a Z06. I'll wait... LOL! Just to save you some time, I never said I did, you are confused, as usual. It must be really hard having to read-stuff over and over again because you are unable to comprehend-it the first-time around. I'm sorry man, I feel bad for you...
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE yes you did. So now you are saying your standard C5 runs a track faster than a C6 Z06? LOL OMFG!!!!! Please. Now you REALLY are sounding like a COMPLETE toolbag. This must be a joke.
And in this case, YOUR car is about 10-15 secnds behind on all the tracks. Congrats, you are now getting lapped three times per race. LOL Moron.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Huh? Where are you coming-up with this stuff? LOL! You are either one of the dumbest, most-ignorant person I've ever talked to, or you are the most succesful troll of all-time. If you are trolling me, Congratulations! You got me hook, line and sinker. In-case you aren't trolling me, and you just can't read-well;
I NEVER said I owned a Z06. I NEVER said a "standard" (I'm assuming you mean "stock") C5 was faster than a C6Z.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tommy1 You don't get to just PRETEND that I said things I didn't. That's not how this works. Things I've ACTUALLY said that you can't seem to get-right:
I own a C5 with Carbotech pads and performance tires, and I can lap-it faster than my (equally-skilled) friend driving his C6. (Never did I say C6Z.)
The driver IS the #1 variable when comparing lap-times between 2 cars, BUT brakes and tire make a HUGE difference as well. More than you give them credit for.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE now change the cars when you are proved wrong. LOL Who the fuck cares about your "friends" car? I was ALWAYS talking about the car in the video. Nice try but you still fail. You MUST be a kid. END of story. Dont bother to reply again. YOU FAIL!!
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Now you're giving-up because you realized I'm right? LOL! Sounds about right. I knew you would never admit to being wrong, but to see you give-up because you've been beaten is almost as satifying. I NEVER said I owned a Z06, I NEVER said a stock C5 was faster than any kind C6, and I NEVER said the driver wasn't the #1 variable when lapping a car on-track. It's pretty sad that you had to lie, and now you have to quit because you know you lied, and you know I'm right.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE I lied? Now AGAIN thats ANOTHER lie. You dont fucking quit do you fuckface? SO obvious why the GTR guys hate Vette owners. Dumb fucktards like you. Keep lying. You lost, you got proved wrong, you made dozens of excuses and endless lies. Thats enough. Fucking dumb kid that never even had a vette in his life. Now go troll somewhere else. Faggot.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 YOU make it VERY obvious why GT-R guys hate Vette guys. You have been slinging insults and profanity pretty-much since the begining over a simple dissagreement. You have put words into my mouth so many times I can't even count them all. I know you can't see what videos I've been watching because if you could, you would see a multitude of Vette videos. I'm not sure what you consider a kid, but I have a couple of kids myself so I'm not that young.

sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Proof? LOL Go back and see how many time you contradicted yourself. You (typical vette fanboy) call them "mistakes". LOL Enough trolling dumb troll boy.
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram I haven't contradicted myself once. You're the one contradicting yourself. I'm summarizing things you said here so no need to call me a liar. You: "Driver is #1 variable" "Nurburgring is great for comparing cars EVEN though they use different drivers"... "C5 was 20s slower at Laguna" "C5 is 4s slower than C6 at Laguna"... Which is it?? You even tried to compare some BS lap-time ran in the wet with another one ran in the dry, and I'M the liar?? LOL!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Yes you contradicted yourself at least 5 times. According to you, I guess basically every test done on cars is a joke because different drivers are being used. LOL Should we have ONE guy test ALL the cars out there? Thats the DUMBEST thing you can say. So according to YOU, a C4 vette could be better than a C6 ZR1. Who would ever know?? Different drivers tested them. OMFG!!!
13tomabram 1 month ago
@13tomabram You can take things I have said out of context all you like. The whole point was about Nurburgring and how all the times are pretty-much worthless. People are splitting-hairs and claiming that "OMG the GTR is SOOO much faster than the LFA because it beat-it by 3 seconds!" 3 seconds on a 13 mile track!? With two different drivers?! I'm sorry but that's just not conclusive of anything.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Dont care. Like it or not the ring is the STANDARD now.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tomabram When you watch the Ring video, you can find a couple spots where Mero makes a mistake here, and there. Don't get me wrong, he did a GREAT job, but a few mistakes on a track that size can add-up. Especially when you have to lift for a half-second coming onto a straight because you went full-throttle too soon. It's absolutely crazy to me to see people bickering over a couple seconds on a track that long! What if driver A made 3 mistakes and driver B made 7 mistakes? Get it?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Nope, dont get it at all. SO I guess ALL track times would be useless because NOBODY can make a perfect run on ANY track. Get it now???
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 You understand perfectly what I'm saying, you're just to stuborn to admit-it. Which driver was behind the wheel, and the weather on the day, can make a HUGE difference in lap times at the Ring. (Not to mention whatever subtle changes the manufacturers might have made to the car before they ran-it.) If you think Ring times are somehow official or there is some standard, you're living in a fantasy world.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Holy fucking shit!!! The cars are run STOCK unless noted you dumb fuck. Weather? LOL The cars make tons of runs on the track on different days you stupid moron.
Yes the ring time are official, and it IS the standard for testing cars. You must live in a closet idiot.
Maybe you should google official nurburgring lap times. Someday you may understand. Your either too dumb or stupid.

@13tommy1 Read this article. Sorry it's long, but it says it all.
wwwDOTspeedsportlifeDOTcom/2008/10/01/avoidable-contact-17-cheating-nissan-bitter-porsche/
(obviously you will have to replace the "DOT"s with ".". Youtube wont allow links...
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE No link found. Maybe cause it a 4 year old article? LOL ANd what does that have to do with anything? Who says you wonderful top gear cant cheat? OMFG!! One day you may get the point. DUmbass. Like I said before. END OF STORY. You lose.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 You find ONE place where I said Top Gear was wonderful. Find ONE place where I complimented them AT ALL! You expect to have any credibility when you canstantly put words into my mouth? You can't manage to find my link huh? So predictable... I'll make-it easy for you. Step 1: Go to Google. (You can manage that right?) Step 2: Type-in; "Avoidable Contact #17: Cheating Nissan, Bitter Porsche". Step 3: Click the top link and read the article. Easy...
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE What does that have to do with an official lap time? NOTHING!!! Just like I thought. You compared top gear. DO you know they didnt cheat or fix teh times? No you dont. So again. You fail. Now go back to sucking that dick faggot.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Why don't you tell me what the article said tough-guy? "What does that have to do with an official lap time?" LOL!!! You are so dense! The whole article was describing all kinds of different reasons WHY the times aren't official! That's the whole point. How can you read that and then come here and ask; "What does that have to do with an official lap time?"!? The whole article TOLD you! I can't spell it-out ANY simpler for your dumb-ass!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE because a hater company (porsche) got their car beat by another car so that obviously means someone cheated. And that means there is no such thing as an official time. LOL moron.. FUCK OFF END OF DISCUSSION!!! YOU FAIL
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Last I checked Porsche was faster than the GT-R on the "Official" list on Wiki lol! (I dunno though, I better refresh, something might have changed since 5 min ago when I looked at the "official" site lol! Nissan might have turned-in another "official" time lol!). So which is it? Is the GT-R or the GT2 RS faster? LOL! Wait lemme go check the "official" lap-time list (for SOME strange reason it's on Wiki) hahahaha!!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@13tomabram Look at the Top Gear track times as a perfect example. They have a board where they timed F1 drivers. The "Stig" (who is an F1 driver) has been around that track probably thousands of times got beat by 2 seconds by a driver who only had a few laps around in the same car. They are both profesional drivers, both drove in F1, yet they had a big skill disparity and lap-time disparity on a track less than 2 miles long. You see the problem?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Top gear? LOL Are you kidding me? You just PROVED to me how biased they are. Guess you have been living in a closet for the past 20 years. Nice try with the most biased auto testing show on the planet. Nice job.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 You're missing the point. I know Top Gear is biased on a lot of things. I was pointing-out that just because everyone who laps on the Ring is a "professional", DOESN'T mean that they are equaly-skilled. If the difference between 2 F1 drivers on a track less than 2 miles is 2 seconds, how would that translate to a 13 mile track? You can't honestly tell me you think all the different drivers who run at the Ring are equaly skilled can you?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE OMFG!!!!! Please. Give it a rest. You make ZERO sense. The cars in the ring are run to their max capability. LEARN HOW TO FUCKING READ MY COMMENTS BEFORE SAYING THEY SAME SHIT OVER AND OVER!! You dont need the best pro driver in the world to take a street car to its limits. ANY pro driver would have NO problem with it. That being said, the ring is an EXCELLENT standard for testing cars. END OF STORY.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 The key-word there is TESTING. Yes, it's great for TESTING cars, NOT COMPARING them. You understand the difference right? Do you seriously think "ANY pro driver would have NO problem" turning-in the best possible lap-time? You started this whole deal telling me that the driver was the #1 variable when comparing two cars, now all of a sudden, it doesn't matter?? C'mon man! You're in denyal for sure.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Again DIRECTLY FROM A WELL KNOWN SOURCE.
"Nurburgring lap times have become the gold standard by which modern day performance cars are measured and compared. The famed “Green Hell” features technical elements of all sorts and is widely considered the toughest, most dangerous, and most demanding purpose-built racing circuits in the world. It has therefore become a test track for auto manufacturers, and its demanding layout had been traditionally used as a proving ground."
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE OMFG!!! Moron.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Yep, ANY I repeat ANY pro driver that knows the course will have NO problem running the best lap time. DO you think they run 1 lap you fucktard? They run HUNDREDS and even THOUSANDS of laps with the same car. IDIOT!!! Learn about the ring, the track and cars. Then come back and comment. Until then, fuck off.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 Read the article I posted for you. It was written by a profesional racer, who knows a LOT more about lapping a car than you ever will. There are a TON of similar articles around if you do a search. There's a reason so many profesionals are being so critical of the so-called "official" Ring lap-times. *I'll give you a hint, it's because there's nothing official about them.* "Until then, fuck off." "Derp!" Ooooo! You sound so tough! LOL!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Dont be upset because you have been proven wrong yet again. The ring has hundreds of official lap times. Just like every track in the world dumbass. Learn about cars moron. Until then, go fuck yourself. Dumb troll.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 "Until then, go fuck yourself." LOL! You really do sound really tough! Yikes! LOL! Obviously you're the one who's upset. If you had read the article you would realize you have NO argument left. It CLEARLY explains what constitutes an OFFICAIL lap-time. The ones the manufacturers report THEMSELVES don't meet any of those requirements.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE Dont be upset cause the C5 official time was 20 seconds SLOWER than the C6. LOL
13tomabram 1 month ago
@sydneyACE ALERT!!!!! ALL manufacturers use exceptional drivers when testing. The ring was done by PRO drivers. DUHHH Im sure a pro driver can handle a stock street car with no problem. They can push the car to its limits in their sleep. So your "logic" about different drivers just went out the window.

@13tomabram Nice! I didn't know you could do that! I figured if I called you out on-it you would prove it. So now that we've established that you CAN see what I've whatched, you should be able to look and see how many Evo videos I've actually whatched. I don't recall actually clicking "like" on any of them.

@sydneyACE LOL Got you again.. Fail

LOL!
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE You said I couldnt see what you were watching. LOL I PROVED you wrong yet AGAIN. Now get over it. Your wrong. I proved it several times. Now go suck a dick.

@13tommy1 Answer the question! How MANY Evo vids have I favorited?? How many have I liked?? How many have I watched?? You LIED about it! THAT'S why I thought you couldn't see what I had been watching. I thought that if you actually COULD you would have known that what you were saying was BS. I guess you KNEW it was BS and you said-it anyway didn't you?
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE how MANY cocks have you sucked? How many have you deepthroated? How many have you liked? Only YOU knows those answers faggot. You fail.

@sydneyACE Nice try from a moron that keeps watching AND favoriting all those EVO vids. PS. We can see what you are watching you dumb fuck. LOL Vette owner my ass. ANother lie. But its expected from a dumb kid.
13tommy1 1 month ago
@13tommy1 The times manufacturers run at Nurburgring aren't a good, consistent, conclusive way to compare different cars. Because they use different drivers of varying skill-levels in different conditions, etc.
sydneyACE 1 month ago
@sydneyACE It sure is. Tell that to all the manufactures that they are wrong. LOL Toolbag.
