Um....Um, . See this happens when folks follow others, No way would I have a umbrella open in the house of worship, 1..I want the rain to fall on me.......2 All the gimmicks are not needed. 3. I find this weird, you want it to rain, but you do not want to get wet. Ok, then you dont want it to rain, because you do not want to get wet. I wanna take a stab at it and try to be an advocate...i think it was more so just for symbolism and thats it. They had to find a way to symbolize rain, so hence...the puncho's and umbrella's. Yes we know what the purpose of those items are but like dumluva said, its just when you see umbrella, you think rain......i tried

yeah, but umbrellas symbolizes rain. When the news tells you its going to rain, you take an umbrella when u go out!! Umbrellas mean they are expecting blessings to rain from God.

@drumlova94 I see what you're saying. however, the purpose of the umbrella is to BLOCK rain...and if you want the rain drops of God to fall on you, then an umbrella would BLOCK the very blessings HE is pouring out! The bible says in Malachi 3:10 in the later part of the verse "...I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in!" So if God already promised to pour out blessings...I don't want anything to block anything HE has for me!
