Cries of the Past is actually where it begins. and no Dallas mentions he did not get kicked out. watch his interviews. he was only asked to leave the band for his sake.

I like how they sound on their second album. they're basically the same, but in this album he sounds like he's out of breath after every shriek, makes him sound like some pussified varg vikernes, which they were probably going towards since the burzum influence sticks out like a soar thumb in some parts, which is definitely not a bad thing. Cries of the past is a much better example, and i would have respect for the band if they actually kept their avant garde sound like this album and cotp

yeah personally i think this album as well as their second one both seem like they're trying to copy their influences. they are nonetheless good albums. they were REAL metal back then, now they're fuckin pussies. almost all their songs are like them TRYING to make poppy metalcore songs. it pisses me off that they went fromn this to the shit they are now.
