That's not a Mercury Capri, that's a Ford Capri. If I was to guess about a 1975-76. It didn't become the Mercury Capri in the U.S. until 1978 or 1979 and it was based on the Mustang Fox bodied car. The Ford Capri was imported from either the UK or Germany, I'm not sure which. I know when I lived in Germany they were everywhere.

To asstro440 - Is this your car? It looks very nice with the "hockey stick" filled in like that. . I removed the fake rear "brake vents" and filled in their mounting holes which I found to be a big improvement alone in the looks. Is that the stock front bumper painted over? It also looks nice. I simply removed mine since it wouldn't help anyway in an accident and mounted a front air dam and huge rectangular Marschal halogen headlamps and smaller rectangle driving lamps below those.
