  • she is the kind of girl i wanted to marry!

  • Thanks jessica! I change mines on a mustang very easy work and I didnt have to pay a mechanic.

  • Would have liked to have seen a close up of which nut you torqued, but I think I know which one it is. Thank you for this, as no "expert" in the mechanics' arena has a video as good as this one. Simple, step-by-step and to the point.

  • Nice work-I changed daughters 05 corolla-going to show her this vid and try to get her to do the same on her 08 corolla its got 43k and starting to crack-they will go more miles with not many cracks-but we will change it before 50k.The dealership wants 97.00 before tax,im sure she will do it.

  • Well, good to know for the future-think I spent $300 when my mechanic replaced my serpentine belt and the tensioner-don't know why he replaced the tensioner-and I had been thinking to myself-oh good it's just a belt -this will be inexpensive! Thanks for making this video-good job!

  • Thats awesome!! I am going to change my own. Toyota dealer want $141. Crazy!

  • Cool, now I can return the manual and save $25. Hint for others, you can get a loaner tool from autozone for free to make this easy.

  • Wow..!!!!!! Not to say only men could work on cars but hell, you sure as hell put me in my place..! I just got a sudden motivation to do this myself, thanks =D

  • shit she cant use the tools but replaced the belt. shows how retarted i am

  • nothing's better than a beautiful woman that can fix a car =]....replace a serpentine belt that is =]

  • the vid kinda sucks but it helped

  • Changed my own belt, the cost of the belt was only $22! With a 1 year warranty.

  • Thanks Jessica! I just changed the belt on my 2008 Corolla in less than 10 minutes. My husband helped me a bit. He held the tensioner so I could use both hands. He also kept tension on the belt as I started in the back pulleys. The tensioner is the bolt that is on a triangle shaped piece of metal above the last pully. ! The bolt head looks like it's welded to the metal. The tip about drawing the diagram and also saving the last pully to put the belt on as the smooth one worked perfectly.

  • are serpentine belt and drive belt same thing?

  • Thank to this video I was able to change my own serpentine belt by myself without any help on my 2003 Toyota matrix, and it was the first one, but it won't be the last one either.. Thank a lot for the video.

  • that was awesome, will you be my girlfriend?

  • What a great video! The book "Auto Repairs For Dummies" was written by a female -- taught me how to change brakes, timing belts, flushings, diagnostics (eg. reasons a car might not start), etc. Great job! We look forward to more of The Girl Next Door Auto Repairs For Dummies.

  • she is good man..., better rotate all the pulleys for any bearing damage then put the belt.

  • i was thinking of taking my car to autoshop to replace my serpentine belt. after i see the video, i told myself a chick can do so can i. i really hope that they could zoom in where the socket are place.

  • great vid....now i will try to do it myself

    thanks again.

  • wow looks easy

  • wow awesome info my 2003 camry haynes manual wanted to take off wheel inner fender etc i did have to use a 3/4 closed wrench as the socket wouldnt fit it was to long with wratchet . But thanks to you I was done in under 10 minutes thanks!!!

  • WOW! My dealership (Westport, CT) wanted $498.00 to replace it. I got the part on Ebay for $23.00. Will try it when it arrives. Thanks!

  • Thank you kind lady this video was very helpful!

  • a girl working on a car? and she's pretty... MARRY ME!!

  • damn.....a GIRL working on the car while a dude doing the filming......its usually the other way around! mad props to the chick taking on a mans job. and for the dude whos filming, i'd me mad embarrassed if i were you, son.

  • HELL YEAH THATS HOT..WELL THE GIRL LOL SSEEXXY!!

  • I have the Haynes Manual for my '99 Corolla and never thought of doing this myself. You've given me more confidence in myself. Thanks for the excellent video. Love the laugh!

  • they are pulleys, not rollers. but you are so cute, and helpful. now i can change the serp belt on my pontiac vibe, seeing how its done on the same engine. thanks for being a woman who goes and does something hands on, and doesnt assume she can't do it. It's really not that hard, is it? cheers.

  • @tamarockstar45 there are 2 rollers and one pulley.

  • Thanks for your nice video. Very helpful!

  • nice video. very helpful. thanks

  • Thank you so much, you saved me from being ripped off.

  • thank you thank you thank you! i have done simple mechanics most of my life. but, i couldn't find the tenchiner bolt on my '07. your 19 mm tip saved the day. thanks!

  • In your next one can you show us how to change the oil? Pretty please!

  • Thanks Jess! Saved me some bucks. Worked like a charm on my '06. $36 bucks.

  • I didn't know how easy this task would be until I took some time to look on the internet and maybe see if I could do it myself. Then, I decided to try it, especially after hearing one garage was going to charge me $120 when the belt only cost $30! After watching this video did you try changing your own serpentine belt too? How much money did you save?!?!

  • @jessicahuber16

good stuff jessica! we need more women like you!
