The reporter said that the video of the woman is in Brazil, he was showing images of Australia first, but then they changed to another video. Really sad, I keep asking myself if I would have left my doggies go away like that, I understand she was scared and that she felt she was falling or something, I don't want to blame her, I'm not judging either, I'm just trying to imagine myself in her situation, I doubt I would have release my dog. Every person reacts different in this kind of situation.
@vimed1976 Sorry, I just saw the video again, I don't think she released the dog, it looks like the wave of water removed the dog of her arm and that's when she raised her arm to grab the rope, ... :'( I think this is even more sad now than what it was...
I saw this as well, its so sad. Im just an ordinary guy and I get attached to pets, they literally become part of the family. To lose one in this way must have been terrible, thank god she was ok as well. I know the dog almost certainly died in waters like that but I like to think that maybe it got washed to the side or something, but I very much so doubt it, sad times. I was hoping for the same thing, it is possible, but unlikely. to be honest, I have my doubts about whether the woman was even able to survive. with that rope not tied around her, she would have to be strong enough to hold onto it while they pull her all the way up the wall. even without being soaked and scared that would be very difficult.
I'm sorry, but this didn't happen in Australia, it was in Brazil! The woman trying to save the dog was here in Rio de Janeiro. My mom cried when she watched it, i feel sorry for the dog, and thanks to the people who saved the woman!

there was a bigger dog in the broken house with her that she had to leave behind! how horribly sad... rip :(
