@AkiroXKE Erm, no he did not . Lewis made the most famous version of it but he didnt write it. Dave "Curlee" Williams & James Faye "Roy" Hall did. Big Maybelle made the first recording of it in 1955. Elvis made a fine version in the mid 70s but like I said I prefer Lewis boggie version . That said I prefer most of Elvis covers to the originals ..but this is an an exception to the rule;)

@WhenIrishEyes Wow, that's news to me! I'm sure 99% of the world's population would state categorically that Jerry Lee Lewis wrote this song. I'm shocked to learn he didn't! Jerry Lee probably even thinks he wrote it by this point... :-)
