The hat that he had in the airplane is most likely owned by Ford. In his contract he is allowed to keep all of his costumes from any movie. I know this because my uncle is good friends with Ford. Cheers Mate!!!

What about the Swerford or the Adventurer from Top Secret Hats. The Swerford in Sable is pretty close to Indy's fedora and is lovely floppy fur felt. It's a bargain at £60!

@TheSwinny39 i have the adventurer and gave it turn and the raiders bash and makes an amazingly accurate hat, i agree it should have been listed as its the most affordable plus its rediculously accurate.

@thecoolmiester I've got Top Secret Hat's Swerford in Sable as I thought it was the correct measurements. It's crown is a bit lower than the Adventurer but apparently its made on the same block.

I like the one @ walmart. It's 3.95$ and it looks just about the same. You can get then during Halloween. I wasn't stupid, after halloween I purchased all of them @ around 12cents. Now I have a collection of 43 of them. Total investment. 8.21cents. WALMART :PPP

yes i k new......and...the dimensional cut should NOT be done until the crown is fittied with the 'tist' to the right..shapinge the crown..THEN do the dimensional cut..if at all.. why? becuz the akubra for example has the dimensional cut already and you cant get a correct turn with the dimensinal cut. buy your hat without the dimensional cut!!!

very nice job rob! love the way you got a lot of the info out . i have heard that penman hats and adventurebuilt hats are very good , but i went with todd's costume for there downtowner hat which is beaver felt but made to look like the raiders hero hat , i like the style , i also bought the uptowner hat from todd's that is a bit more pliable and looks more like the last crusade hat. you can see my youtube reviews to see thse hats. but once again , great video!

@HGWolfwood I concur. The Akubra is undoubtededy the most hat for the money and can be bashed however the owner desires. And of course the Aussie Akubras are well known for being durable and hard weathering hats.

My favorite hat is the Raiders hat. To me it is easily far and above the most beautiful of all the Indy hats I have seen in the movies and on the internet.

Very cool video, I really enjoyed your presentation. John Penman is a great guy and his hats are definitley quality. As far as my choice of Indy hats, Raiders is the one that started it all and is my favorite by far!

Great video! Good work! I'm with you, Penman all the way! BTW that's me and my wife that you see in the upper border of the Penman Hat Co webpage from our wedding. I own 7 Penman Fedoras, and each one is better the than the last, though even the first of is one of my favorite hats. I also own an AB, terrific hat! High Quality Stuff.

Oh, and to answer your question: Raiders hat all the way!
